Review about Lake Nakuru National Park by KO

It was nice, but slightly lower rate in comparison with Masai Mara National Reserve, in terms of number of animals and size of the area.

A good budget safari for a good time
4/5

As a solo traveler, finding a safari that not only fits my dates but also budget was important. I was picked up on time and our tour guide, Edward was really great. Though it rained almost the whole time, which was unusual for January end, it was one of the most fun times of my life. I met new people during the safari. The tent/rooms were good at Enchoro wildlife Camp. The visit to Masai village was awesome. For the first time in my life, I saw lions, giraffes and zebras. We also saw ostrich, different kinds of deer, wild hogs, buffaloes, baboons, elephants. I felt like I was watching all the characters from the "Lion King" movie. Because of the rain, our vehicle did get stuck at a couple of different places, but there were fellow vehicle drivers who also helped us. Edward is also really helpful towards others as well. The food was basic which is good. The staffs at the camp were also really helpful. Overall, I am really happy.

Make sure about the weather when you book a trip to Tanzania

We were wet every day on Kilimanjaro!
We were wet camping in Serengeti and Ngorongoro!
The wet roads really spoiled some of the game viewing and some roads were to wet to drive on

Reliable Company, Excellent Safari
Overall rating
4/5

Mmilo Tours ensured that everything was in order, and we felt like we were in good hands. It was easy to contact both our driver and the tour company while we were on our trip.

We went on two sunrise and two sunset safaris and got to see four out of the Big Five. I am still not not sure getting up at 3am two days in a row is something I would recommend or not, so that is something other travellers might want to consider when booking. Hamilton's Lodge was a great place to stay in terms of location and had a great receptionist, but the restaurant staff was a confusing mixture of unhelpful, slow, and decent. The Graskop Hotel eventually proved far more service-oriented, and the majority of the staff were kind and helpful, and I would not hesitate to strongly recommend this hotel.

The Panorama Tour bit was unfortunately cut short for us due to an accident. But even apart from this, the Panorama Route was the part of our trip we were least happy with. Our tour guide/driver was very helpful in many ways, even taking us to the airport when we had to cut our trip short. However, in spite of asking more than once, he did not reveal the full itinerary of what we were going to see, which resulted in us spending a lot of time in one (to us, less interesting) place rather than other places that we would rather have prioritized had we known where we were going and that we did not have much time.

In short, we are very pleased with the company, which ensured everything was in order and that we got what we needed. The safari was truly amazing, and the SanParks rangers were both very impressive and knowledgable. We would not hestiate to recommend Mmilo Tours!

We were lucky to see the Big 5 over our short safari. Our guide was excellent in identifying the best routes around the Serengeti.
Thank you for a once in a lifetime experience for my family.

Wonderful safari
4/5

A wonderful Safaris trip, which was based on our requests, we choose all of the locations ourselves, alternating between lodges and luxury camps; since we wanted a fully personalized experience. All the locations were by the high-level WellWorth hospitality collection.
Savannah Explorers organized all our reservations, trips and park’s visits (Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Serengeti and Ngorongoro) in a very professional and enjoyable way.
The guide man has been competent and professional, able to find the animals. In January the vegetation is very thick with tall grass but this has not prevented us from seeing a large quantity of animals in similar but very different environments.
The rain of the previous days made the roads through the parks very demanding but the Jeep, although a little dated, was very reliable. Internal comfort can be improved.
The guide was very good at dealing with the most complicated situations.
It was really easy communicating with the staff, we never had such problem.

Good, prompt, and responsive during bid and during our travel.
4/5

Recently, my wife and I traveled to South Africa from October 24 to December 12, 2019; and itinerary was primarily decided by us. We solicited bids from number of local travel agencies to book 3-4 star accommodations, purchase SanPark Wild Card, book premier classe train tickets from Cape Town to Jo’Berg and provide a 4x4 SUV to be able to drive on paved & unpaved roads in SA and Swaziland’s National Parks and country side. We selected Go Self-Drive Tours (Fleet Foot Safaries) primarily because of Hennie Beker’s promptness to our requests and willingness to communicate on WhatsApp to finalize our plan on a short notice. Hennie was very positive and responsive to our recommended changes, provide his company’s Toyota Prado (insurance included) for 46-days self-drive tour; and put together a well-organized travel binder and a folder with road maps and site visit brochures. Our interaction with him and his staff (including Elmor Beker and Sadi Schelan) during our travel in South Africa has been pleasant & prompt. One exception was the vehicle given to us has had problems the day after we took possession in Jo’Burg with its air-conditioning and couple of days later with starting. The A/C was promptly fixed outside of Kruger NP at a Toyota dealer. The high-mileage 2014 Toyota Prado SUV failed to start and we had to jump at least five to six times in first 11 days. One time while watching wild dogs at a water hole in Kruger at high noon and second time on a bridge (to Mpila Camp site, iMfolozi NP) stopped to observe two adult elephants ‘fighting or playing rough’ and one of them aggressively advanced towards our stalled vehicle. After repeated requests, the company-owned Prado was replaced with a rental SUV in Hluhluwe-iMfolozi’s Hilltop Lodge. During our 46-days of 4,000 mile-drive from Johannesburg to Cape Town, I had to use four different rental vehicles instead of one! I would have given a five-star rating if we have had no problems with Toyota Prado stalling and its air conditioning. It took them eleven days to replace a poorly maintained vehicle. Regrettably, I have to give a four-star rating to Go Self-Drive Tours & Fleet Foot Safaries and advise them a ‘customer Safety First’ approach in their future travel business.
