Incredible gorilla experience - very expensive, but not a lot of introduction or information. *Ride 4 a Woman is an incredible, active community that supports local women in many ways - truly wonderful.

Very pretty scenery and an abundance of wildlife
Tour guide was Mowalla. Excellent guide, knew the area and where the wildlife was expected to be like back of his hand. Very impressed by the scenery and by the abundance of wildlife. The Tanzania area was much larger than I expected. Took a lot of driving to cover all the areas. I over packed for cooler weather. Pleased to enjoy the winter weather of 70-75 during the day and good sleeping temperatures in the 50s at night. Sounds a little cold at night but with the bed covers was actually pretty nice. Only rained one time and not much on that one rain to effect anything or any part of the Safari tour. People on tour and the tour guides in particular were very conscious of keeping things clean and picked up. Tour guides were also very helpful in notifying other guides when special animals like the lions and leopards were spotted helping others see the animals too. Sometimes the radio chatter was a bit annoying but when you realized the chatter was letting other guides know of spotting the animals it wasn’t so annoying after that.

Tanzania - Awesome and Beautiful
My wife and I did extensive research on which country to visit to go on an African Safari and we chose Tanzania. The country abounds in wildlife. We saw the Big 5 along with several other African wildlife.
Why we chose Tanzania is because the game drives were during the day. We would leave in the morning and return at dinner time. Whereas, other countries have their game drives split up in the early morning and again after dinner in the evening. Plus the range of environments from the savannah to the rain forest, there is such a variety.
Tanzania is near the equator and it's days are almost exactly 12 hours with sunrise at 6:30am and sunset at 6:30pm each day. Plus, the average temperatures are very comfortable, spanning from highs in the low 70s to lows in the mid 50s. We chose to go after the rainy season. June was a good month. It only rained a few times and even then it was an isolated shower for a very short amount of time.
Coming from the USA we were not required to get any shots. We did take the anti malaria pills.
The food was wonderful. Just don't drink the local water. We drank bottled water.
The people are amazing. So kind and polite. I learned Tanzania is like the neutral country in Africa. They don't have internal conflicts like other countries in Africa. We felt very safe at all times.
We were in the north part of the country and didn't get to see the southern part, like Dar Es Salaam and the cost, which is stunning.
I could certain go on about how amazing Tanzania was. We're looking forward to returning again someday.

Uganda is heaven on Earth ~
The nature of Uganda is beautiful. The animals, mountains, rain forests, rivers, lakes, savannas, and BIRDS! I was not a big birder before, but the sheer cariety and abundance of bids is spectacular *download the free App: Merlin Bird id
I booked with African Adventure Travellers and worked with Brenda to set a preliminary itinerary. Then my guide & driver, Huzaima, refined it and made my safari something special. It really was like going on a 15-day road trip with a friend. He knew what I wanted to see and do and made every effort to make it happen.
Uganda is also a special place for its people. Everyone, everywhere I went from the national parks to local markets were exceedingly open, warm, welcoming, and friendly. Everybody is so quick to smile and wave, say hello and strike up a conversation. Uganda is a magical place in my heart and I cannot wait to return!!!

Excellent communication and great drivers
Steve Muinde and his staff do an excellent job of responding to requests immediately and thoroughly. He was able to tailor our safari consisting of three family units and seven people to fit our budget and provide us with two drivers. This gave us great flexibility. Both drivers were very knowledgeable about the animals we were seeing and went out of their way to find animals the group was interested in viewing. Steve also set us up with a van driver for a day in Nairobi before the safari began.

The Best of Serengeti National Park
"...It was surprising how many different tour companies there were operating in the area and we were both so pleased we were with Tanzania Exclusive Journeys, as the others appeared crowded, and some had obnoxious radios, which they used to call in their colleagues if they spotted anything. I would have been very unhappy if we were so equipped. When it was just us, it was wonderfully quiet and we could enjoy not only the sights but some sounds as well. I was very interested in the birds and so the less crowded and individualized Land Cruiser was great..." Special thanks to our driver guide Martin for taking a great care of us!

An Excellent Safari Company
We looked at many companies and narrowed them down to three. After communicating with all of them we chose Fine Bush Tours owned by Ms. Ihani Saalale. We were extremely happy with our choice. Ms. Saalale listened to our requests and worked hard to find us the perfect 9 day safari experience. Unlike other safari tour companies we checked out, Fine Bush Tours is a Botswanan, women-owned company, which also factored into our decision. Ms. Saalale is very knowledgeable and experienced in developing African Safaris. She has experience working with Kwando Safaris, which operates a number of high quality concessions in Botswana, two of which we stayed in for our trip. Ms. Saalale also has worked with Moremi Air, one of the few airline companies servicing the bush camps. Ms. Saalale was also extremely helpful in resolving some issues we had with our international flights on Botswana Air from Johannesburg. Without her assistance from Maun I do not think we would have been able to resolve our issues satisfactorily.
One of the requests we had for our safari was that we wanted to see wild dogs, which can be very difficult to spot. Ms. Saalale worked with the guides at the Kwando Concessions and identified camps where we were most likely to see wild dogs. Incredibly, on our very first morning game drive our guide took us to a den site, where we not only saw a pack of dogs, but were first to see the litter emerge from the den - a truly amazing experience! And that was just the first day of nine filled with incredible sightings and experiences, including a aardwolf, civets, genet, cheetahs, leopard, a baby hippo on land, over 200 bird species, as well as numerous, lions, elephants, giraffe, and many other species.
Upon arrival in Botswana, Ms Saalale met our group at Maun airport and again prior to our departure. Her communication with us preparing and during our trip was excellent. She also continued to assist us after the trip with some additional questions we had. I really can't say enough about the friendliness, expertise, value, and communication we have enjoyed with Ms. Saalae and Fine Bush Tours. I highly recommend Fine Bush Tours for anyone wishing to experience the Okavango Delta and other safaris.
