Friendly, fiendishly fun and fast!
If I have to boil down the most amazing week on safari into a few words I would have to start with the most important - KIKITU! If you're looking for a tour guide - you want Kikitu, and if you want Kikitu, you also want to go with Jocky Tours. He's hugely entertaining and seems to know everyone you need to know in the parks to find the best photo opportunities (or even moments of silence to soak up the breathtaking environment). We found Kikitu's lectures on each animal very engaging and fascinating. He will be dearly missed by our small safari crew of 4!
Aside from this we were very impressed with the Jocky Tours experience more widely. It is extremely reasonably priced (perhaps the best we could find), with all the full board accomodation you'd expect (delicious buffet food and comfortable safari 'glamping'). Communications via whatsapp before the trip were clear and transparent.
We saw everything - the big 5, across Maasi Mara, Lake Nakuru and Amboselli (even catching plenty of pictures of the marvellous Kilimanjaro) no doubt due to Kikitu's standing as the King of the Maasai Mara (;))
We left our tour totally satisfied we'd done the safari just right! Without burning a hole in our pockets. Choose Jocky Tours!

Mixed feelings
We booked through a platform and Hilmar then contacted us directly offering other tours which we would pay for on the day of the tours. He gave us prices for them but there were many hidden costs he hadn’t warned us about, which left us unprepared
Also, unlike all the other tour operators we had, he had not made contact with us up to the night before the tour despite multiple unanswered emails, what’s apps & attempted phone calls. This left us stressed and in limbo wondering whether the tours go ahead or should we book with another company. When he did eventually make contact, he said his phone hadn’t been working, which to us is unacceptable if one is trying to run a business. I presume he should have access to another phone and/or a computer/laptop from which he could check his emails and make contact with his clients. He did make a fleeting apology but I think a small attempt at compensation for stress due to lack of contact would have been a good PR move & greatly appreciated!!
The tours were very enjoyable….the helicopter ride was amazing as was the sunset river cruise & village tour.
Lunch at the lookout cafe was lovely but again, in contrast to other companies who provided a full 3 course lunch with tea/coffee, I felt that not including even a glass of water/cup of coffee, let alone starter or desert, with lunch was rather miserable & small minded.
The transfer vehicles, apart from Hilmar’s own car, and boat for the cruise also left a lot to be desired and could do with an upgrade, in comparison to other tours transport, considering the prices tourists pay and the tips we are expected to give!
Thank you Hilmar. Overall had a lovely day but don’t think that I would recommend or book with Dream Holiday Vacations should I return to Victoria Falls

A Remarkable Safari Adventure
Because of selecting Meru Slopes as our travel agency, I recently embarked on a breathtaking safari adventure in Tanzania, and I had the incredible fortune of being guided by Robert. Robert's vast knowledge of Tanzania's wildlife, ecosystems, and cultural heritage was truly impressive. Every step of the way, he shared fascinating insights and anecdotes, enhancing our understanding and appreciation of the remarkable flora and fauna we encountered. If I return to Tanzania, I will choose Meru Slopes again.

Amazing experience all round!
I booked the 4-day camping safari to Masai Mara and Lake Nakuru. This was my first safari experience and it definitely lived up to my expectations! Jimmy, our guide, was exceptional right from the start, always friendly and smiling and we felt very safe with him there to guide us throughout the whole trip. He often went the extra mile for us to be able to do everything we wanted and see as many different animals as possible, including a very rare leopard which was a wonderful moment! His exceptional knowledge of the Masai Mara was clear to see and huge thanks to him for giving us an incredible experience. The tour overall was very well-organised and there was plenty of time to see wildlife, the vehicle was well-equipped with everything we needed and the guide was fantastic! Would definitely recommend!

The best Safari Experience
We had a great 6 day safari with this company. We were with two Dutch people joining a group of 4 and later 5 others. Before the safari started we were picked up from Moshi, this meant we didn't have to arrange a taxi ourselves, which was very convenient. We were brought to a good hotel in Arusha Centre, and met with Mohammed the next day. Mohammed was our contact person from the company and he helped us throughout the trip by explaining what to expect, being extremely helpful and thoughtful to your needs and wishes.
During the Safari we had a great tour guide named Omary. He was extremely kind, knowledgeable and will do his absolute best to see the animals that you want to see. Also thanks to him we saw the big five and we have seen multiple cheetahs, leopards and even a lion family.
If you have got a good camera to make the pictures, Omary will make sure you get the right angle.
After the Safari, Mohammed was again very helpful to bring us to our hotel in Arusha and to arrange transport to the Airport.
If you need a great safari experience at a great price, this is definitely the company you want to book with.

Great communication, low budget with luxurious feel
Me and my friend joined a group safari, so together we were with 7 people in the car. We had a 6 day safari including Tarangire, Serengeti, ngorongoro and lake manyara. We both stayed in lodges and in tented camps.
Even though we chose to do a low budget safari, the experience felt luxurious. The food was always delicious, alterations could be made based on your preferences and there was close personal interest of the guide.
Our guide Omary was not only very experienced and had lots to tell about all the animals we saw, he went to great extend to see them all and to give us the perfect spot for a nice photograph. Moreover, he is a very funny and enjoyable person and creates a relaxed atmosphere in the car.
The communication before and after with the company was great. The day before we met with the owner Mohammed and he gave us the full itinerary of our safari and made sure we could ask all questions we wanted. Before this we had great contact via whatsapp. Afterwards he also met with us to review the safari.
Included is also transport to the airport before and after and accomodation, which makes the entire experience relaxed.

Outstanding service from start to finish. Organising the trip and arranging the itinerary was seamless and communication via email was extremely prompt. The suggestions and advice were well received and turned out to be spot on. The trip and safari experience was every bit good. The driver and guide (David) was extremely professional and experienced, he provided a first class service. There were no hidden extra's everything as detailed in the itinerary was included and the Safari was good value for money. One particular highlight amongst many was the balloon experience and one extra excursion that we would highly recommend. I would have no hesitation in recommending this team to anyone who wants to Safari in Kenya

We had the most amazing experience on our Safari. We saw every animal we wanted to, and our guides catered the tour to us and our interests. Bruno and Godlistern were amazing and gave us the best personalized experience that we could have hoped for. Raymond was promt in his responses to questions prior and during the trip. Adventure of a lifetime
We were extremely skeptical in the beginning since paying with credit card was not possible and we had wire cash. Our skepticism was quickly eliminated upon arrival. Lion King was so on top of their game we hardly had time to think it and they were anticipating and delivering. We did a combination fly-drive safari, opting to fly between the crater and the Serengeti, eliminating 5 1/2 hours of ruff driving so we switched drivers about half way. Both drivers were outstanding and knew the roads and trails providing sightings of all the Big 5, plus dozens of other animals. We chose 5* lodging, all which was booked through Lion King. They can provide insights into great lodging as your budget dictates. I could go on and on about how pleased we were with Lion King services. One example how great the management is, we are avid photographers and one lodge seemed to not have the greatest view and we contacted the office to make sure we were booked into the absolute best room with a view, not expecting anything at this lodge. Within 15 minutes hotel staff arrived to move us to a different cottage. Totally not necessary, but they insisted. Probably one of the most important aspect was safety. Our drivers were so diligent in keep us safe and comfortable in areas with wild animals that could harm or kill people. In closing, if you chose Lion King you won’t be disappointed, knowledgeable and professional every step of the way.
