Tour Vehicle Unacceptable
2/5

My wife and I arranged our honeymoon through Gosheni Safaris. I had developed the plan for our honeymoon in advance and contacted Gosheni simply to make the arrangements for us for a custom safari. They made reservations for the accommodations per my instructions and everything was fine from that side of things. Our guides were also very good at their jobs and we appreciated their insight and expertise. However, when it came to the vehicle that was assigned to us for our safari, it was far from acceptable. These are a list of issues with the vehicle in which we spent 7-12 hours a day:

no functioning air conditioning
no functioning outlets
broken cooler
musty/moldy smell
rusty and broken seat belts
huge cracks in windshield
broken shock/spring day 3
broken interior handle
exposed broken wires
broken strap for pop up roof
dirty ripped slipcovers

Gosheni claims that its vehicles are new and well maintained. Our vehicle was neither. The odometer on our vehicle read 99242km, and obviously the vehicle was not well maintained due to the issues listed. I will note that every other Gosheni vehicle we saw appeared to be in much better condition, so why we were assigned this vehicle during the low season is beyond me.

I contacted to Gosheni about the vehicle just a couple of days into our safari. They responding continuing to claim that the vehicle was new. I pushed back and asked that we be flown back from Serengeti to Manyara, rather than having to ride in this vehicle for an entire day. Gosheni did arrange this flight for us and paid for it, and the vehicle that met us in Manyara was indeed new and well maintained. However, spending several days of our honeymoon in the vehicle provided was simply unacceptable and not what we expected or paid for when we booked with Gosheni. If you decide to book with Gosheni, please inspect your vehicle before you head off on safari. But, I would suggest you look elsewhere for your safari needs.

As a side note, I should inform everyone that Gosheni pushes guests to pay $20 per day as a standard tip for guides. This is not in line with the other safari organizers in the region, which recommend around $10 per day. Please Google this yourself and do not get bamboozled by Gosheni.

A professional safari operator and extremely well planned vacation
5/5

I have travelled around Kenya visiting 4 national parks in 10 days this month. While I was initially hoping to plan and execute all by myself, I found that I’m slipping beyond my budget. After almost a week’s search for a reliable Safari operator based in Kenya, I found Super Eagles and their extremely professional team member Mrs Charity. So my interaction with Charity to plan this trip commenced in October 2023 with multiple iterations to suit my liking and she was really patient to accommodate it all. She even advised me on how to make my 10 days vacation more comfortable with little tips and preparation. All that done and when I landed at Kenya (this being my first trip abroad with my family) I was really worried how things will go about in execution. To my luck and due to Super Eagles expertise and experience in this profession, we had a wonderful and memorable trip. All my stays in 10 days were in the best hotels (mostly 5 star) in the locality and national parks I visited. The vehicle that we had for all game drives were really comfortable and the drivers did a wonderful job in ensuring that we have close encounters with the big fives (and that’s why we came here for, right). Overall, when I’m returning back to India today, me and my wife and carrying back a bag full of wonderful memories and great impressions of Kenya and Super Eagles. I have already shared my itinerary to three of my friends back in India along with Mrs Charity’s contact number. To conclude we did this trip in almost 2/3rd of our initially planned budget. Definitely I’m going to come back to Kenya again to visit national parks in future and once again it’s a deal with Super Eagles. Once again, thank you Super Eagles and Super Charity, God bless you.

Sarah was super speedy on WhatsApp, and went the extra mile to secure all our requested bookings.
5/5

We are from UK and were finding booking directly with known camping companies / DWNP in Namibia and Botswana challenging - they often don't reply or give a very poor service.

As a very seasoned traveller (6 months a year and over 83 countries visited) it is unusual for me to use an agent, but after a long chat with Sarah on WhatsApp, I handed over, with total confidence, all my Namibia and Botswana bookings.

In no time at all, Sarah sent me a large, well put together document, containing a colourful information pack and more importantly ALL my entry and camping / hotel vouchers.

Thanks to Go African Adventures we had a trouble free 2 month trip in beautiful Botswana and Namibia.

Rwanda is fantastic, all made possible by the incredible Hermosa Life Tours and Travel company!
5/5

We had a fantastic trip to Rwanda expertly organised by Oreste and Yvonne at Hermosa Life Tours and Travel. I can't more highly recommend this company enough. From the booking process, the range of tours, the communication, the small details and the tour guide (ask for Patrick, he is one of the nicest invididuals you will meet, and ever so informative about Rwanda, the Gorillas and is great on Safari too)! Rwanda is a beautiful country. We did Gorilla trekking, volcano trekking, a Kigali tour and a 4 day Akagera safari, all of this was organised by Hermosa. Their accomodation choices are good and the vehicle you will be transported around in is modern and spacious. If you go to Rwanda, go with Hermosa. They didn't put a foot wrong with our trip. 5 Stars!

Great driver/guide (Sebastian) office organisation could be better
4/5

We booked a 6 night Kenya safari for a family of 5 with three teenagers.

Our guide/driver, Sebastian, was amazing. A kind a gentle man, we were all instantly at ease with him. He made the effort to learn all of our names quickly and conversed with the kids, answered our questions and shared knowledge of his country readily, and with excellent English. Whenever we wanted to stop to take a photo or go to use the bathroom he was more than happy to oblige. When he didn't know something, such as the name of a bird, he didn't pretend and would find out later for us. Most importantly, the roads in Kenya are pretty wild with dodgy drivers and even dodgier roads, Sebastian drove expertly and safely the whole time while negotiating animals, huge trucks and long days behind the wheel. He made sure he took regular breaks to remain alert while behind the wheel. We could not recommend a tour with Sebastian highly enough.

The only disappointments we had were with the organisation from the company. We booked a Maasai Mara, Lake Nakuru, Amboseli tour (in that order) so that our family could spend Christmas day on safari and enjoy the amazing animals within the park. When we arrived we found our tour had been flipped with us travelling to Amboseli first and Maasai Mara last. This wouldn't normally be an issue, except that we had especially organised the tour to avoid a day of travel on Christmas. Our flight arrival time had been shared, everything had been agreed and sorted. To find out upon our arrival that we would be spending Chrissy travelling for 7 hours was disappointing to say the least. If we had been informed that this was not possible or our flight had been delayed we would have understood. We then realised that our accommodation had never been booked in the order we requested and this was not communicated prior to our arrival.

Once again, Sebastian is awesome, ask for him to be your driver. Book with Apodiformes for a great safari. We saw all the animals, we had an amazing time, the teenagers and adults loved it.

100% supportive
5/5

My experience with Patric climbing the Kilimanjaro is highly recommended.
Patric and his team organise everything perfectly and support you in all you need. They motive you all the time to get the summit and control that everything goes well with your health, weather conditions etc.
I can just recommend the experience.

Life changing trip with Lucas Tshupo
5/5

From the moment Lucas picked us up at the Maun airport until it was (sadly) time to depart, we had the most amazing experiences. Lucas has a deep knowledge of the Botswana territory, wildlife patterns and relationships with the other guides. All of this led to a once-in-a-lifetime interaction with elephants, wildebeest, cheetahs, lions, leopards, giraffes, hyenas, jackals, all kinds of gazelle and antelope, hippos, and far too many birds to mention. I have some phenomenal pictures from this trip that could only have been taken with Lucas's knowledge and patience; he knew where to park the safari vehicle to get the best angles and light. If you are looking to check off a list in a day, this isn't the trip for you. If you want to track cheetah for a couple of hours and see them in their own habitat, doing their own thing, this is DEFINITELY the trip for you. We spent a few hours watching 5 lion cubs playing and their moms hunting and returning. It was life-changing. The accommodations (comfortable tent, bucket shower with plenty of hot water, clean and well-tended pit toilet, comfy beds (!)) worked well and were set up near areas where the animals watered or played. The food was good and plentiful. I highly endorse Lucas as the best guide / photography support in Botswana.

Perfect trip!
5/5

We have spent 6 days with Soul of Madagascar through the south of Madagascar and it couldn’t have been more perfect! Enock was always very helpful while planning the tour, answering us very quickly and giving his thoughts regarding our plans, providing all the information we needed and being able to accommodate everything we wanted. Unfortunately we had a flight cancellation shortly before our trip which could’ve put it in danger but Enock was very creative to find solution and miraculously arranged everything so we wouldn’t miss our days at Ile aux Nattes. He knows Madagáscar like the palm of his hands, will teach you a lot about the country’s culture, take you to the most perfect spots and arrange you the most interesting and dedicated guide at the national parks you are going to visit. Everything was fantastic: the places where we ate, the stays and, of course, our brilliant driver: “Lanteau” (probably this isn’t the way to spell; I’m sorry!). Plus, he is a magnificent English speaker, which is hard to find since the majority of the guides only speak French. More than a guide and a trip, with Soul of Madagascar we got a friend and we can’t wait to come back to let him show us the rest of this beautiful country! Thank you, Enock!
