Amazing Vacation in Tanzania!
5/5

From the very beginning, my experience with Relish of Africa was amazing! Andrew was extremely prompt with answering my questions via whatsapp and making changes to our itinerary as needed. When we landed at JRO, Emmanuel and Mathias were on time to pick us up along with information. Emmanuel was an amazing safari guide - he was knowledgeable, flexible and fun throughout the whole trip. They also planned the Zanzibar portion of our trip and again everyone was always on time and knowledgeable about any questions we had. We had such a fun trip without having to worry about any details. Highly recommend this company!

Best to explore East Africa with
5/5

After years of wanting to go to Africa and planning me and my twin sister have decided to go with Kumbu Kumbu and Obed
Obed helped me make a fully customized trip around the great lakes and offered the best price for us compared to other options we had

Our trip was a 2 weeks trip around the great lakes visiting Rwanda, Uganda and DR Congo. It included:
- great safaris at Akagera and Queen Elizabeth Park and Kazinga Channel in
Rwanda and Uganda
- Low land gorilla trek in Kahuzi Biega national park in the DR Congo
- Mountain Gorilla trek in Virunga national park
- Chimpanzee trek in Uganda
- A relaxing visit to the Masisi Territory
- Kigali city tour
- Canopy walk in Nyungwe National Park

With the flexibility and fully customization option of Kumbu Kumbu and Obed we managed to do it all and at a good price.
When planning the trip I wanted to see everything that the great lakes area offers and I also kept changing the plans quite often, Obed helped us do it all and with every change of plans gave us the best solutions and options.
After arriving in Rwanda and finally meeting him in person we found a very pleasant and friendly tour guide, which we now call a friend.
When in Africa you have the be ready for the unexpected and when we got stuck on our way back to Kigali from Safari because of the curfew every at night in Rwanda at that time, Obed did everything he could to find us an hotel on the way which meet the standards we've set with him before coming.

I really have nothing bad to say about Kumbu Kumbu and Obed, They made sure our trip was as good as possible, with good drivers, with big help in passing the hard borders between the Congo and Rwanda and Uganda and managing the visa for Congo for us.

We know that our next trip to East Africa is going to be again with KumbuKumbu tours with Obed

Excellent experience with TTC!
5/5

Setting out to climb Mt Kilimanjaro was quite a challenge and the team at TTC made it a safe and enjoyable trip! They did an excellent job guiding us through each day of the climb. I also had the opportunity to go on a safari afterwards with a guide named Livingston and he did an absolutely fantastic job getting us close to the animals and knowing the best spots in the game drives. Highly recommend this incredible travel group!

Six Days, Three Parks in Tanzania
5/5

My wife and I went on a six day private photo safari in Tanzania with Raven Safaris. We were met at the border with Kenya by our guide Chambuso who helped us negotiate the immigration process into Tanzania then drove us to our first stop in Serengeti NP for 3 Days. the several hour drive to our tented camp (Heritage) was also a game drive where we saw plenty of animals including a small lake with active hippos then topped off by a beautiful leopard that walked right next to our vehicle. The Serengeti was amazing where on the. first full day game drive we saw another leopard, numerous lions and 10-11 cheetahs. Also, the wildebeest and zebra had migrated to the central Serengeti which attracted predators. We witnessed three cheetahs take down a large wildebeest and another female cheetah with her daughter catch a rabbit for dinner. The second full day we drove to the northern part of the park which at this time had much fewer animals. The third day we drove to Ngorongoro NP which was teeming with animals and bird life. It was also where Chambuso spotted our first treeclimbing lion. At night we stayed at the Farm of Dreams Lodge which is spectacular (highly recommended). The last two days in Tanzania where spent in Tarangire NP with an afternoon game dive and an all day game drive. Our nights were at the Burunge tented lodge (very nice property with a huge outdoor dining area overlooking Lake Mayanara). Again we were treated to herds of elephants, zebra, giraffes and tree climbing lions and leopard. Our last day Mr Chambuso drove us back to the border with Kenya to meet up with our Kenyan guide. Mr. Chambuso was an excellent guide, driver and wildlife spotter who was with us during all our waking hours. We could not have asked for anyone better to have been with us.

They made sure I was able to experience Tanzania to the fullest
5/5

I LOVE SERENGETI. Thanks so much to Crater Explorer Tours for getting us set up with such a great safari. They were really flexible and accommodating for our trip and made sure we were able to see the parks after Kilimanjaro. Saw all the big 5 and also determined my own Ugly 5 haha. Our driver was really patient and knowledgeable about all our animal questions. Would recommend Crater Explorers and working with Emmanuel for anyone looking to explore Tanzania!

We did a camping tour and it was so awesome actually sleeping in the midst of these parks. I felt safe but also a part of the action. We saw giraffe pass by our tents as the sun set! Food was delish, there was always hot water for coffee, and we got surprise wine to share over dinner! 10/10

A wonderful Experience
5/5

Charles is THE MAN! A wonderful guide whom is extremely talented at pointing out animals while giving highly detailed naturalist information about all the species we have seen; as well as a top notch driver with no equal able to drive the safari vehicle in even the most troublesome of terrains in order for us to thoroughly enjoy our safari experience and get the best camera shots we could. Charles even helped us identify some of the harder to find organisms such as the Serval Cat, hidden leopards, a badger, Black Rhinos, many many birds and insects and flowers alike; as well as the Lappet Faced Vulutres. My wife and I were part of a 14 person group that Lappet Faced Safaris was easily able to handle, accommodate and entertain while on safari across some of Tanzania’s most beautiful scenery and parks. Francisco took care of all needed logistics of luggage movement as well as helping us to navigate the crazy hectic mess that is Covid testing and park entrance requirements. I highly recommend Lappet Faced Safaris! Tanzania is open! And has the infrastructure for tourism! GO! ENJOY!

Excellent to work with
5/5

We have found yet again that Sun World has exceeded our expectations for a wonderful series of safaris in Kenya.
Despite the difficulties of the covid world, Rebecca, followed capably by Jonina, kept us in mind as we navigated reworking the all details of our complicated itinerary for a second time since we put it off for one year. They worked with us not only before our trip but during our travels. As a tour professional I know how important back office work is and they helped us immensely as we ended up with one traveller needing medical attention in a remote location and then leaving the tour early. Every arrangement was made and followed up on, and any last minute questions were promptly dealt with.
The driver guides!! Such professionals and such amazing people. We really enjoyed Francis, Boni and Simon and they clearly were extremely knowledgeable about their wildlife and parks. More importantly to us, we felt we made good friends that taught us much about Kenya - one reason we continue to return. Boni, especially was so very helpful with our ill traveller, making arrangements for us to find a clinic and ensuring the rest of the group did not miss the elephant mud baths. His patience and caring were so very reassuring.
The accommodations were wonderful places, many we had been to before and several new camps. As always the Kenyan hospitality was top notch - staff are so clearly welcoming and heartfelt. The food arrangements SunWorld made for us at the self catering camps worked extremely well as we knew they would.

We will continue to highly recommend working with SunWorld for any visits to East Africa. And we will be looking forward to our next trip!
