Honeymoon in Uganda
My wife and I chose Dav Safaris for our week in Uganda. It was our first time visiting the country and were warmly welcomed by the team at Dav upon our arrival. During the entire week, our guide Benjamin was professional, knowledgeable and overall great company. We take away great memories from our trip and would recommend Dav to our friends and family. really good service, smart tour guide
The 5-day safari tour with suricata was amazing. They have a really good service from the start to finish. Their new Boma lodge is great with the nicest people. The tour guide is also very knowledgeable and kind. Suricata also is environmental friendly, not packing lunches with cartons.

Amazing tour operator
I had a lot of expectations but this tour exceeded them all. We saw so many animals, our guide Gaston showed us as many things as possible and gave a lot of information, the hotel was super pretty. This was an amazing experience and I recommend this tour. Also don't get scared about the rainy season in December because there was almost no rain when I was there.

Very nice experience
It was our first Safari and the experience couldn't be better. Everything worked perfectly since the first contact. Any question or doubt was answered quickly. We saw a lot of animals, even two females lions. Camp Bastian, the place where we slept was very nice. Very worthy for the price. Don't hesitate.

Organized and communicative
Very good option for a budget safari trip. Many things to do and to see, and it's a great experience. Communication was clear and fast. Benson was responsive and very understanding, helped us solve problems when there were some. Please, note the the company is just the organizer of safari trip: during the trip itself, you are mixed with people from other agencies. Do check the accomodation and their reviews.
Worth every penny!
Lion King lives up to their raving reviews! When I was looking for a safari company to go with, Lion King kept showing up at the top of any search. I figured, if I’m going to do a safari I want to do it right (who knows if you'll ever get to do it again) so we booked with Lion King and they went above and beyond with every aspect of the trip. They were quick to respond with questions and happy to work with us to create a trip that was exactly what we wanted.
We had the most amazing guide!! Shafino has been a guide for well over 20 years and it really showed. His knowledge about everything (animals, birds, plants, ecosystem) was on another level that I can guarantee is hard to come by. Lion King sends all of their guides to training in the off season to ensure all their guides are well prepared to educate you and answer all of your questions (and I mean all). His knowledge of the area and the animals is the only reason we were so successful in seeing the Big 9. He knew all the quickest routs whenever something big came on the radio whereas other tour companies had to ask for directions (wasting precious time when a lot of these animals and good photo opportunities disappear quick). He has also worked with professional photographers so he knows exactly how to position his car to get the absolute best shots! (I’ve included a few I took with just my phone). I really could go on and on about how Shafino clearly stood out and did everything above and beyond. So please, save yourself hours of searching and just book with Lion King. I PROMISE YOU WONT BE DISAPPOINTED!!

Our safari - a blend of adventure and luxury
Our four-day safari across Tarangire, Ngorongoro, Serengeti, and Lake Manyara turned out to be a thoroughly enjoyable and well-organized adventure. From the get-go, our guide, Lodi, impressed us with his easy communication style, making us feel comfortable and in good hands from the start. We were also able to meet Emmanuel (Managing Director) at the start of the Safari, who gave us a good briefing about our journey including all the information we needed. We met Emmanuel again at the Airport when we flew to Zanzibar – he made sure everything was perfect!
Lodi's in-depth knowledge of the parks and wildlife was evident, helping us spot the Big Five within just two days. His understanding of animal behavior allowed us to be in the right place at the right time, ensuring our safari truck always had the best views.
The only minor tweak we'd suggest is a more relaxed pace. The four days were packed with incredible sightings, leaving us yearning for a bit more time to soak in the experience without feeling rushed.
The accommodations at the lodges were exceptional. From the views to the design and the attentive staff, each lodge contributed to a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The only downside was the limited time we had to fully appreciate the lodges amidst the whirlwind of the safari. For that we recommend a longer trip with more rest time in between.
In essence, this safari, was a balanced blend of adventure and luxury. It showcased the beauty of Tanzania's wildlife and landscapes while providing a comfortable retreat at day's end. Despite the slight time constraints, it was undoubtedly our best holiday, and we would recommend it to those looking for a well-rounded safari experience.

Fantastic week in the Kruger National Park with the very knowledgeable Chris
We had a fantastic week in the central and northern parts of KNP with Chris determined that we would see as much as possible! We had been on many self drive trips to KNP before but having a very knowledgeable guide adds a further dimension to your holiday experience. Chris and his assistant Scumboso looked after us very well and nothing was too much trouble for them
Our booking had been handled very well over e mail by Thale and all communication was swift and Thale patiently dealt with all our requests and answered all our questions.
The whole week was very well organised from our transfer from Joburg airport to our drop off at Hoedspruit airport for our flight to Cape Town
