Unbelievable Experience with Livin
5/5

It was an unbelievable experience.
We changed our itinerary during our tour to stay 1 more day in Serengeti, and team accommodated our last minute request, and make all necessary arrangements, so we saw big migration.
Our tour was unforgettable, once in a life time experience, thanks to Livin's great effort to make our tour perfect

Exceptional service level
5/5

We went to a Travel Fair in Oslo in 2019 looking for ideas for our honeymoon planned to be in September 2020. We didn't know exactly what we wanted, but Safari was very high on our wish list.
After speaking to so many travel agencies and Safari companies none has peaked our interest, and we were just about to give up on the idea of a Safari trip when we met Tanzania Explorer.
The idea of tailor made Safari tours without having to be put in a large group of random people really spoke to us.
From that first meeting we've received a service level from Tanzania Explorer you rarely experience.

Because of Covid both our wedding and honeymoon were postponed, so our trip was changed from September 2020 to Sept 2021, and then to Sept 2022. Tanzania Explorer were very flexible, helpful and understanding with the whole situation, and today we're so glad we postponed rather than cancelled our trip.

We got a lot of good information all the way from booking the trip, before departure, and through our whole stay in Tanzania.
We had a meeting with Sondre close to departure where we finalized much of the details, and his know-how of Tanzania and what it can offer, and also his down-to-earth approach really made us feel comfortable and excited about going.

Arriving in Tanzania we spent 2 nights at Tanzania Explorer's Villa in Dar to get acclimatised to temperature and culture. And their staff welcomed us in such a manner that we quickly felt at home.

From there we went to Mikumi National Park, and spent 2 days in the park and stayed at Vuma Hills lodge which has a great view of the park. Mikumi/Vuma Hills gave us a great introduction to Safari and we got to see so many animals in a short amount of time there.

Next stop was Udzungwa Mountains, and Hondo Hondo lodge where we got to live amongst the baboons visiting the camp site regularily. We also had a trek in the mountain witnessing and also taking a cold bath in the spectacular Sanje Falls.

Our final Safari destination was Ruaha National Park and Ruaha Hill Top lodge with one of the most amazing views of a scenery we've ever witnessed.

Our Safari guide Sam, was highly knowledgeable about animals, the parks and so much more. His great humour and calm demenour made him a great travel companion for the week we had of Safari experience.
We saw so many animals, got very close to them and spent a lot of alone time with animals. This much due to the vast experience of Sam and Tanzania Explorer which recommended where to go and to get up early to start the day before most others.
When staying at the lodges we also saw how fortunate we were to have chosen such a professional travel company and Safari guide such as Tanzania Explorer and Sam, as there were others not having the same experience we were having with less skilled guides.

After our Safari week we had 1 week at Zanzibar where we stayed 5 nights at Mwezi Resort, which is a small paradise on earth, and 2 nights at the fabulous Emerson Spice in Stone Town. Then we returned to the Explorer Villa in Dar for 2 days before going home.

Tanzania Explorer have surpassed our expectations in every area of our time with them when it comes to service level, knowledge of Tanzania and making us feel welcome and cared for.
We can highly recommend Tanzania Explorer if you're thinking about going on Safari and/or visiting Africa. You will not be disappointed!

Some recommendations to experience:
- Losing your breath over the amazing animal experiences by seeing them up close.
- Eating fresh lobster and chips on Mbudya Island.
- Having ice cold Kilimanjaro (local beer) after a long Safari day.
- Eating the best Avocado Toasts for breakfast at Mwezi Resort.
- Shopping at Neema Craft in Iringa.
- Relaxing on your patio in Hondo Hondo watching the Baboons in their natural habitat around the camp.

A big thank you to Sondre and his team for making our honeymoon even better than we had dreamed of. We hope we'll be able to return one day, and we'll definitely book our trip with Tanzania Explorer again!

Gilbert in the BEST Guide/Driver and Lion King Adventures is the BEST tour company. Go with them!
5/5

Lion King Adventures was wonderful!!! Anna took care of everything until the point when Gilbert met us for the start of our Safari. She handled everything seamlessly and the value for the mid-range safari was excellent. The best part though was Gilbert!!! He took care of everything and make sure we saw ALL animals including a Rhino and her baby! We had a Cheetah climb on our Land Cruiser and then watched as it stalked and take down a Grand Gizzel, watched a Hippo fight right in front of us, 3 Wildebeest Migration crossings, lions mating, Leopards in trees with their kill, too many Giraffes, Zebras, Elephants and other animal to name!! Everything ran so smoothly, and Gilbert is an expert at spotting the wildlife and makes sure we saw them up close and personal!! Accommodations were wonderful and the food delicious!! Use Lion King for your safari and ask for Gilbert to be your guide/driver. You will have a wonderful safari experience!

Warning! Suspected insolvency! Capture Tanzania Adventure LTD ARUSHA
1/5

On 14.07.22 I booked a 2-day safari from Zanzibar to Tanzania (Ngorongoro Crater and Tarangire NP) on the recommendation of a regional TUI travel agency in Cottbus. The contacts to the above-mentioned tour operators took place exclusively through the local travel agency. On the eve of the departure for the safari in Zanzibar, the first cancellation (due to accident of the GF) with the alternative for an AWT took place on 23./24.09.22. Here, too, the cancellation was made by EMAIL the evening before to the local travel agency in Cottbus. On 22.09.22 there was an EMAIL with "comforting words" and the notification of the repayment of the travel price signed by the "booking team" of the above mentioned company. Since then, the owner has only sent a regrettable message to my travel agency because of my report in various travel portals and the substantive notification of insolvency combined with the threat of legal action, I should continue to warn against this above-mentioned company and have filed a criminal complaint against the mentioned company.

They took care of it all and made our dream vacation come true
5/5

Joseph was a wonderful host and had quality guides and drivers to take care of us throughout our entire 10 days in Tanzania. We loved our visit that included hiking Kilamanjaro, 3 days of amazing safari, as well as the seafari experience in Zanzibar. Thank you, Joseph and team!

Superb
5/5

We just got back from our vacation in Tanzania and can not say enough good things about our safari and safari guide Ziggy! He went out of his way to give us the best adventure possible. From successfully showing us the Big 5, to answering any and all questions we had about animals and the culture, we were given an experience of a lifetime. Our selfie with Ziggy will absolutely be going in our scrap book!

safari tour 5 days
5/5

Siya is a great guide, with a great experience.
We had the chance to discover a lot of Tanzania with him. The safari trip was amazing and Sia tried to meet our expectations every time we asked for something. Also, we had the chance to have a personal chief recommended by Siya, which was a great addition to the trip.
We definitely recommend Sia and Bahati Safari for a safari tour it’s definitely the best in town !

Cape Town and Safari was wonderful, although intense, entirely memorable and good value.
5/5

Our group of six who have travelled together extensively, enjoyed the Cape Town and Safari tour immensely. The sights in the Wester Cape and especially the safari were great. The meals, as promised were first rate - a bit simpler on safari but given the limitations with the locations they were fine. The guides were top notch. Every one of them - and there were several counting rangers and one day tour guides at the different sites, was excellent. Really the most satisfaction that I can express was with the quality of the guides. Knowledgeable, safe, dependable, adaptable.

The safari sites were amazing. Especially interesting was Humala even though the wildlife viewing there was less than Tshukudfu and the incomparable Kruger. Humala was a delight in its remoteness, and the land was out of this world uniquely beautiful. Our guide there could answer every question except concerning the geology - a personal and perhaps quirky interest, and to this she admitted the void in her knowledge. Can't be expert in everything but not faking it, as she did is the best approach. The value for us was great - maybe even better as we paid in full in 2019. Very possibly the price has increased since then. If we had paid more for our tour my satisfaction would still be high. The only comment that I would like to provide to GTD concerns marketing. Many who I spoke to came to GTD and this tour through some sort 'limited time half price deal' - in fact every guest that I discussed this with did. It struck me, and others that I spoke to as inauthentic. That and my observation that some guests were ill prepared for the rigours of the this travel; safari vehicles and long days etc. Nevertheless bottom line: great value, great experience

Most excellent
5/5

All the tour guides are capable, confident, competent, and caring, for their visitors. The entire staff go out of their way to make sure that the experience is superb. I was only there for two nights but the one day out allowed me to see so many animals I was amazed. Along the way I met several people who had been out for several days in a row because they simply loved the experience so much and couldn't get enough. I would recommend this safari company without hesitation, and I would certainly go back again.
