could not have asked for more... it was absolutely fantastic experience
This was my second trip to South Africa, and for that matter, second safari at Kruger National Park. Surely there was a bit of hesitation at the start, especially due to reports on media and certain blogs, strikes and load shedding etc.... Surely, South Africa has her share of challenges just like many other places but this place is magical in my view.
About the tour group, Wildlife safaris, from the beginning they were very professional. Jonathan with whom I had my initial communications was very professional, extremely helpful and courteous. Always answered my questions to the point and made additional helpful suggestions when needed. Also I had a positive experience with Lorraine in the office.
Our tour guide was Simon Taylor. He was absolutely fantastic. Not only his knowledge, but his passion for nature and African Wildlife is commendable. He took every possible effort one can possibly take to show us more and more animals. I have no doubt that he has seen all that on many of his trips to Kruger yet he was so eager to spot the animals as if it was his first visit. He is an absolutely super guide who is well organized, efficient in time management, and above all so passionate about his work and extremely friendly. We also had a super good group, six of us altogether from different parts of the world, but we gel well as a group, and overall, had a fantastic 4 day safari... spotting the big 5 twice in 4 days. All that thanks to Simon's effort.

Awesome experience
Everything was FANTASTIC. Our tour guide Lapheal was awesome. He went above and beyond for us each day of the tour. All of the accommodations were beautiful and the staff had the utmost professionalism and hospitality. All the meals were delicious and they made us feel at home. The game drives were incredible, truly a once in a lifetime experience. We enjoyed the boat ride, and appreciated a day of down time. We seen all the animals we wanted to! We got really close to a cheetah and a pride of lions- that would be definitely parts of the highlights of the game drives. Also, we were able to see some baby hyenas with their mom which was very wholesome. The final day there was a problem with the airport accommodation but that was solved quickly. Overall, SOK exceeded our expectations and we would highly recommend anyone looking to go on safari to work with Spirit of Kenya!

Review about Murchison Falls National Park by Katharina
Murchison Falls is way more touristic and has a lot more visitors than Kidepo National Park.

Great safari destination for hospitality, abundant wildlife and scenic landscapes.
Our tour operator, Wayfairer Travel, put together a great twin centre safari in Kenya provided by Safari Bookings. Firstly flying in to Samburu and then on to the Masai Mara. The wildlife encounters and sightings in both were to say the least spectacular. The contrasting landscapes were exceptional as was the hospitality and service in the lodges.Kenya has been a favourite of ours and this trip surpassed previous visits. The terrain on the game drives can at times be a little challenging as expected, but that is all part the safari experience.Thank you Kenya and thank you Wayfairer.

Like being in another world, the people, culture, wildlife, and unique plant life and trees.
We did a five day four night safari ( took about 3,000 photos )then the next day we climbed MT. Kilaminjaro to the first base camp. We chose camping in a tent and it was incredible in the Saringeti besides the countless animals we saw during the day they also came thru our campsite both day and especially at night. Lions came right by our tent the first night i could hear them grunting and then walking around our tent. Another safari tour guide in the tent next to ours looked out his window flap and saw a large male standing in front of our tent. The next night i could hear them about 40 yards away from the campsite roaring and grunting. Not to mention all of the other animal sounds near our campsite at night Hyenas etc. It was very exciting and interesting, i guess we should have been scared but at the time we weren't. The culture of the many villages and tribes was incredibly interesting. All of the different African trees including fruit trees like avacado, bananna and sugar cane, coffee plantations and countless unique plant life we saw was incredible. The weather was about perfect one day was a little hot in the Sarengeti and a light rain at night a couple of times. All in all this was a trip of a lifetime!

"The Pearl of Africa" is an accurate description of the country and its diversity of nature.
I traveled for 8 days with Meddy from "Bright Safaris Uganda" through the country, which is a tour operator that I would definitely recommend!
The tour was great and quite adventurous, which was exactly what I wanted for the safari. Especially the wildwater rafting on the Nile in Jinja and the stay in the Kidepo National Park were one of my greatest traveling experiences so far!
Meddy planned the tour according to my level of fitness and my wishes and it turned out great.z
In Uganda you can experience a variety of different landscapes, an interesting culture, nice and friendly people and of course a lot of animals. I visited Kidepo and Murchison Falls National Park and they both were amazing! But I heard from other tourists, that Queen Elizabeth National Park is also worth a visit, especially if you want to do gorilla trekking (for which my budget was sadly not high enough).
As I was traveling in september, the raining season was already starting, so depending on your tavel plans you should consider bringing both sun screen and and a good rain coat.
In terms of safety I never had any issues in Uganda. You are accompanied by your guide and the Ugandans are mostly welcoming and friendly too. Still, you will be stared at a lot and some people will ask you for money or want you to buy something from them, especially if you are white.
All in all I had a great time traveling through Uganda and I hope you will enjoy it as much as I did!

Outstanding Service
This trip has been my dream all my life. Everyone from Go Touch Down were outstanding. From start to finish the trip was so much more than we expected. From the beautiful accommodations, so much excellent food, very friendly staff thank you Backkies, Zandile, Johnson and Chris to mention just a few. Also a huge thank you to Shelley and Inge for organising our trip of a lifetime. Both of you always available for my many questions. This trip was so well organised that we didn’t have to think of anything. We will definitely be going back to South Africa and we highly recommend Go Touch Down Travels and Tours.
Lied to and not refunded
I was given an inaccurate itinerary, and charged for things I should not have been. She made zero effort to rectify her mistake or refund me. Choose any other operator.
