Very helpful and flexible but communication could be improved.
4/5

I just finished a 4 day Safari with Karibu Safaris. The guides and everyone were very friendly and helpful. Communication could be improved as changes were made to our itinerary without consultation. I also would’ve appreciated more information from the driver about the animals on game drives, but overall a very good experience.

Relax and enjoy the sights, sounds, tastes and friendly people of South Africa and Zimbabwe
5/5

Such a wonderful trip to Southern Africa that exceeded all of our expectations. Starting in Cape Town, we thoroughly enjoyed exploring this wonderful coastal city at the southern tip of the African continent. It all began with our top-notch greeting from Tony, our guide, at the airport upon arrival through customs. We were very pleased upon our arrival at the boutique hotel, Belle Maroc. These accommodations located in Blouberg were well-appointed and located right on the beach. The food and drink during our stay in Cape Town was delectable every single day. We were splendidly surprised by the quality and taste of the delicious seafood selections throughout the region. We will return for the food. Some of our favorite spots in and around Cape Town were Table Mountain, Neethlingshof Estate Wine, and Hermanus by the sea. Tony was one of the best guides that we've met in our travels. He ensured that each and every day of the tour was perfect. Baie dankie to the wonderful staff at Belle Maroc in Cape Town. We will return for the people.

After wrapping up our tour in Cape Town, we headed north to Johannesburg for an amazing tour of safaris and exploration. Our favorite spot during safari was the stay at Humala River Lodge in Songimvelo Game Reserve. This is an amazing place to enjoy safari and relax in paradise. The staff provide excellent service and ensured that our stay was pleasant at all times. Lindo was one of the best rangers that we've met in our travels. He knew where to find the game animals for viewing and ensured that we saw them on every trail ride. Our guide throughout our safaris was Thabo. He was also one of the best guides we've met in our travels. He made sure that everything was pleasant and safe during our stay.

When we finished our safari adventure in and around Johannesburg, we jetted off to Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe. The two most amazing sights to see are the Falls and the Zambezi river. The stay at Ilala Lodge is truly a one-of-a-kind experience where you are whisked back in time to imagine what it would have been like to travel to Africa in a simpler time. Our guide, Taffe, was also one of the best guides we've met in our travels.

Our entire trip in Southern Africa was especially pleasant because of the wonderful people that we met every day. Southern Africa is truly a special place in the world. We will return.

Gosheni safaris and our guide William made our 2 day safari an amazing and unforgettable experience.
Even though we came unprepared as this was unplanned trip to main land from Zanzibar, our guide did the best to make this experience unforgettable. Very professional guide helped us to not only during two days spot BIG 4 animals but also took good care about our lunch, AMAZING loge place. We where very lucky! This is great company and William is THE BEST guide!

Peter was super nice! We all loved his empathy and kindness. I am recommending him wherever I go.
He knew about animals and Masai Mara, Nakuru park etc. everything we have asked him during our 5 days safari trip. We couldn't have asked a better guide!
Thanks for everything, we enjoyed a safari very much!

Terrible expierence
1/5

On the advice of an acquaintance, we booked a 12-day safari directly with this Tanzanian operator.
The trip was more expensive than through a Belgian agency, but this would be offset by a more personal service.
However, the safari vehicle (a Toyota Landcruiser) was worn out and had to be pushed every morning to start. The wheels turned out to be attached to the axles with only two instead of five bolts and a footboard had to be welded along the way. Repairs cost us almost two days of delay.
The choice of lodges was also substandard. In one case without water or electricity, in another case we had to make our suitcases in the light of our flashlight.
The program was also changed without notice so that we were forced to pack unexpectedly quickly to change lodges.
The food was generally okay but the driver/guide (Patrick) considered the safari his personal private trip. Armed with a Canon camera with 600mm telephoto lens, he idiosyncratically toured to create his photo book. Our questions and demands were ignored… well, the trip was pre-paid and we were totally dependent on him anyway.
His driving style was at times life-threatening. On a muddy track, he reached speeds of 100 km/h where the maximum speed was 50 km/h.
The negative highlight was the beautiful descent to the Ngorongoro crater. That happened in a closed vehicle with windows that were opaque due to mud.
Our Serengeti trip was ruined to a large extent by guide Patrick. The tour operator was not at all interested in our criticism at the end of the ride.
An advice ? Book through an official agency in your own country. With a Tanzanian company you have no defense whatsoever, despite all the good intentions of acquaintances.

I have gone on a safari for 10 days in Selous, Mikumi and Ruaha national parks. Davis is an excellent guide and driver. He is very nice and kind, and very knowlegable about the wildlife and the country. The tour was well organized and planned, and he spotted a lot of animals. He is truly passionate about his work. Highly recommended!

Very responsive and efficient
5/5

I requested a package incorporating Maasai Mara, Nairobi and Diani Beach, a mere six days before my arrival in Kenya. Robert responded very promptly, even though it was the weekend. He fit everything into my budget, and sent me an itinerary almost immediately. All the drivers were punctual, well-informed and friendly. Lillian was available on WhatsApp and swiftly sorted out the few minor hiccups we encountered. All my questions were answered, and my requests fulfilled. I would definitely recommend this company. My trip was an experience of a lifetime, with amazing bird and wildlife sightings at Maasai Mara as well as Nairobi National Park and Lake Naivasha. One of the highlights of my trip was the boat ride at Lake Naivasha - I got within approximately 30 metres of a family of hippos, and also had amazing views of fish eagles, a pelican, waterbuck and wildebeest, to name a few, on the lake and on Crescent Island. The white-sand beach in Diani was exquisite.
