Unforgettable Kilimanjaro Experience
Zara Tours did a perfect job of organizing our Kilimanjaro trekking trip.
We took the Machame route and it took us six days to get us to the summit.
We had an experienced support crew led by Senior guide Moses assisted by Issa.
The tents were comfortable and the chef cooked nice food.

The communication with Armaye was very easy, by email and whatsapp as well and the response of countless questions regarding the tour was very quick and helpful as well. Myself i got so excited about this trekking tour that i will come back again to experience the Bale Mountains after the rainy season, when everything is green and flowering and i will do it with Armaye again, no doubts. They turned the jeep into a matatu for profit
I was hoping that the good reviews are real, but I was a fool to think so. Karibu Safaris put us 9 people in a jeep when the maximum is always 7 people. They breach their specific promise since we asked multiple times to make sure that no more than 7 people will be in the jeep. They simply surprised us in the morning and we couldn't do anything about it.
It should be 6 in the back and one next to the driver maximum, but they decided to make extra money on our back and had 8 people (one sat in the back with no window view) and also a small kid ( so 9 people in total ). Moreover, they tried to lodge two of us in a single room where we clearly booked private rooms.

While writing this comment, we still feel the emotion of this immersion in nature and all these good times.
We organized this trip for my sister's 50th birthday... after several exchanges by email, Lilian knew how to put together a fabulous private safari from start to finish, both in terms of the choice of Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro parks and hotels with always welcoming staff but our most beautiful memory will remain “Embalakai Camp” in the Serengeti.
GEFFROY, our guide speaks French, he came to wait for us at the airport.
He was very attentive to all our needs, made sure to meet all our expectations, ensured that we made the most of this exceptional nature and the animals.
He brought us to the best point to take all our pictures.
Every day, on a nicely set table, he organized our lunches in magnificent settings, the meals were excellent and very generous.
Lilian and Geffroy were of great kindness which touched us enormously, we stayed in touch throughout our stay in Zanzibar and still today.

We have been on Safari to Zambia, Botswana and Namibia however our favourite operator did not have options for Tanzania and Zanzibar but introduced us to Gecko Adventures who handled our tour flawlessly. We did a 6-day safari to Selous, Ruaha and Saadani parks and finished off with 4 days of relaxation in Zanzibar.
Rama is an amazing driver/guide with exceptional skills of spotting animals in the bush and kept us captivated with his detailed narration of the interesting sights we encountered and past guiding experiences.
Zanzibar- we spent the first day exploring past and present culture in Stone Town and Prison Island. We spent the next 3 days enjoying the pristine Matemwe beach.
We are very grateful to Gecko Adventures for putting together such a fabulous and unforgettable holiday filled with adventure and booked in amazing lodges for reasonable rates.

Our guides Amani nanyaro and David mdee were kind and opened to listen our suggestions... the tour was well planned as it started and finished on time. They help you with the sim card for your cellphone. We were a group of 7 people in two jeeps. And the hotels chosen for us were cool... enjoy the lodge in the middle of Sengereti park. Do not hesitate and choose them for an unforgettable experience. The guides speak Spanish as I do, so if that is your mother tongue you will feel confortable.

Great safari experience safari
This was my first time doing a safari and the itinerary from Makini Tanzania Safari was really wonderful. Our group of six were taken by the most excellent guide/driver, to a number of national parks. These included the Lake Manyara, Tarangire, Ngorongoro crater and serengeti
Guide provided a wealth of information. Sometimes I couldn’t keep up with all of the information he know about the parks, the area, and the animals. He knows it all! He especially delivered when we were in the crater and overheard on the radio that some rhinos were spotted. He went above and beyond to make sure we got to the spot where they were seen. And that checked off the Big 5 list.
All of the lodges we stayed at were amazing, especially the Ngorongoro Farmhouse at the end of the safari. Lodge staff were great, food was amazing and more than plentiful.
I can’t thank the organizers enough for an amazing experience. Definitely recommend this company
