Dedicated
We had an unforgettable 4-day private safari with Joyful Safaris, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience.
Our itinerary included one day in Tarangire National Park, two days in Serengeti National Park, and one day in the Ngorongoro Crater. Everything was perfectly organized from the moment we were picked up until the end of the trip. We always felt well taken care of, and the entire journey was seamless and stress-free.
A special thank you to our guide, James. He was outstanding throughout the safari. He listened carefully to what we wanted to experience, shared his extensive knowledge about the wildlife and nature, and worked incredibly hard to make sure we had the best possible sightings. His dedication and determination to help us see the Big Five were truly impressive, and thanks to his expertise, we achieved exactly that.
James always made sure we were in the right place at the right time, while never making us feel rushed. His passion for wildlife, professionalism, and friendly personality made every game drive both exciting and enjoyable.
The entire team at Joyful Safaris delivered excellent service from start to finish, and it was clear that customer satisfaction is a top priority. If you’re looking for a well-organized safari with exceptional service and an outstanding guide, we highly recommend Joyful Safaris—and if possible, ask for James. He made an already incredible safari an experience we will remember for the rest of our lives.
Thank you, Joyful Safaris, for an amazing adventure!

ENTHUSIASTIC
Julius is absolutely the greatest tour guide we could have asked for. He’s done this for such a long time and you can tell because he was taking us to spots with very few safari vehicles to see some stunning animals. As opposed to getting pulled into a sighting that already had 15+ vehicles. Very obviously a veteran! He also knows how to translate the animals in various languages which was awesome! The safari itself, you can’t even dream of something so beautiful. Pictures don’t do it any justice. You will want to experience this with Julius @Jocky Tours. I will go ahead and suggest to request Julius specifically and remain flexible with your dates to ensure you have the best possible experience. GREATEST VALUE ON THE MARKET
Super friendly and knowledgeable
Julius was an incredible tour guide and very well connected in the parks. Just when we thought he was exceptional, somehow he became whatever the word above exceptional is! We were out of cash and he was able to help us get cash. Very new to this traveling experience and his patience on helping us gave us relief! This is very clearly his wonderful character, and thanks to his service we get to go home with not only lifelong memories but a piece of Masaii

The Perfect Addis Ababa Layover Experience
We had a 10-hour layover in Addis Ababa on our way to Tanzania for a safari, and decided to join a city tour. After finding the tour online, we contacted Biniam via WhatsApp, and it was the best decision we made.
We visited Lucy, Mercato, Entoto Palace and Park, and the Holy Trinity Cathedral. One of the most memorable experiences was watching a traditional Ethiopian coffee ceremony. We even tried roasting the coffee ourselves, but we roasted the beans too much! Our guide laughed and explained that black beans make the coffee much stronger. It was such a fun and authentic experience.
We ended the day with a delicious meal at a cultural restaurant. Thank you, Biniam, for your warm hospitality, excellent knowledge, and making our short stop in Ethiopia so special. We hope to come back one day for a much longer tour!

Fantastic experience
Had a fantastic experience, four nights in the Masai Mara. John our guide was extremely personable, informative, and an absolute master at finding game. His knowledge of the park was first rate.
Salina was extremely accommodating, and managed to make requested amendments as we went.
Highly recommended.

Wow! What an amazing adventure we had with Tapestry of Africa Tours and Safaris! We planned a private 2 week safari with the help of Matt and Hilda to make it exactly what we wanted. We are a family of 4 (sons are 20 and 17). We flew in a day early to Nairobi and stayed at the Giraffe Cottages Bar & Restaurant (not the expensive Giraffe Manor but very close to it-you should check it out-not part of our tour but highly recommend) and visited the Giraffe Center to feed the Rothschild Giraffes (so cool). We were picked up the next morning by Albert (one of the owners) and driven to a lovely small airport to fly to the Masai Mara. We were picked up by Kim who was an excellent safari guide. Taught us so much and immediately upon being picked up our game drive began! Zebras, hippo, giraffe, elephant, etc.!!! It was basically this way until we reached the first lodge (Mara Elatia). It was lovely and my sons had their own tented room and my husband and I had our own. You need a guard at night to walk you to and from the main lodge for meals, etc. Kim suggested we visit the Rhino sanctuary that wasn’t originally on our agenda but we are so glad we did. We walked around with Julius the baby giraffe following us to see the white rhinos just living their best lives (with a baby rhino too). The next morning we did the hot air balloon ride over the Masai Mara. While very expensive, just do it! It was beautiful watching the sun rise and the animals from above. The champagne breakfast afterward was AMAZING! My son said they had the best eggs he has ever eaten! Later Kim picked us up for another game drive. He found a cheetah for us and while we missed the crossing of the wildebeests we did see them thinking about crossing again. No biggie. We did see the heard running across the street further along their path to another body of water. The next day we drove for a few hours to the border, then dropped off at an air strip (no airport) with an hour delay, so a 3 hour wait to fly to the Serengeti. Just do the full drive. We thought flying would be worth it but it wasn’t. We waited just as long as if we had driven and would have saved over $1000. Not the tour companies fault but I’m sure this isn’t the first time it has happened. We were picked up by Vincent who drove us to Enkirari Wilderness Camp with a game drive on the way! So many animals everywhere!!! After check in and lunch Vincent took us on an evening game drive (so cool-so many lions). The next day was a day Game drive in the Serengeti. Vincent is THE bomb! He got us in front of a lioness feeding her babies and a leopard so close it walked behind the Land Cruiser!!! We will never forget that! The next day was to the Ngorongoro Crater. That was a beautiful drive and we saw white Rhinos in the wild. We never found the elusive black rhino but he tried! We did another drive there the next day but I think one day is enough to see most of it. We stayed at the Ngorongo Forest Lodge and it was nice. We got a massage there as the “African Massages” we got were taking a toll on our backs (and our drivers did the best they could but those roads are no joke)! The next day we went to a lodge I looked up called The Original Maasai Lodge. I hope they add this to their itinerary as it was the most authentic African experience my family had. The Maasai were so welcoming. They do a cultural experience at night with spear throwing, dances, jumping, campfire learning about the culture and then dinner. The rooms overlooking the Savannah are breathtaking. The next day we did a nature walk with a Masaai and learned a lot about how they use plants and even saw zebras and giraffes. Our final stop was to the Royal Zanzibar Beach Resort which reminded us a lot of our trips to Mexico. We enjoyed the stay as it was relaxing. We did a Viator tour sailing/snorkeling on a Dhow Boat. It was cloudy but still nice. We are now at the airport on our way home to the US. It really was a magical trip and we are so greatful the team helped us curate the perfect safari for my family.
