From the moment we met Jackson, he made us feel completely taken care of. He was constantly checking in to make sure we were okay, comfortable, and enjoying every moment. His knowledge of the wildlife, landscapes, and culture is unmatched — it felt like we had a walking encyclopedia and a close friend in the same person.
Jackson made it his mission to make sure we saw every animal on our list — and somehow, we did! Lions, elephants, rhino… you name it, we saw it. His experience and instincts are just on another level. He always knew where to go, when to wait, and how to get us the best views without ever disturbing the animals.
Beyond his knowledge and skill, Jackson is simply an incredible human being. He’s kind, funny, selfless, and always calm. He’s also a phenomenal driver — we always felt completely safe, even on the bumpiest terrain. There was never a moment we didn’t feel secure or cared for.
The vehicle was also super nice. Lots of room even for a lot of people. Plenty of places to look out and see the animals.
This was the best trip of our lives, and a huge part of that is because of Jackson. If you’re booking with Savannah Explorers (which you absolutely should), request Jackson. You will be SO glad you did. We wouldn’t do another safari without him!

From the word go we found him to be so helpful and extremely well informed on numerous aspects of the Safari. To the numerous questions he was asked, on the subject of animals and birds, Mr. Mahmoud had the right answers.

I came to Nairobi with no expectations, and a whole lot of excitement. From the moment Monica and Mohammed came to pick us up, to the moment he dropped us back, every single expectation, question, and request was accommodated and how. Mohammed went above and beyond for us. And I’ve got to say, my family and I - we’re a loud, vivacious bunch. We were given a guide but we left with a friend. It’s very rare that you find a person who’s a constant learner. Even when we asked questions Mohammed might not have an answer to (which was rare), he made sure he found an answer for us. He truly made Kenya feel like home. His constant communication with every single person we came across on the road, his attitude towards his occupation, his zeal to give us the best experience possible, truly made our trip an unforgettable one.

We had Monica as our POC, who was an absolute delight and helped us plan the entire trip perfectly.
Gave us suggestions for hotels, helped us plan our itinerary in a fantastic way, helped us book hotels as well as we booked only 2 weeks prior our trip and it was peak season!
We had Mohammed as our tour guide and he was extremely knowledgeable and thoughtful and we had a great time with him! He was really accommodating with all our requests. Had the best safari trip with my family!

A day to discover Pretoria
It was a very nice day with Tinyiko. He picked us at our hotel and drove us to the diamond mine, while explaining a lot of things about South Africa and its history. We had a very interesting visit there, and then Tinyiko took us around Pretoria for more explanations about each place we visited.
