Magical
Great experience. Loved the way MOSSES had hosted us. Truly it was magical trip.
Excellent organisation and the tour was more than what we expected.
Alex was an excellent organiser. He understood what our requirement was and fulfilled it to the T. Mosses was pur guide, seemed like no one knew the Mara better than him. We saw the big 5 up close and migration river crossing twice. He made sure we get the perfect pictures. I would highly recommend Lencheda Safaris if you are planning a trip to MasaiMara.

Diverse and entertaining tour
We had such a great time on our safari.
Hamisi helped us in advance with the organization. Since it was a private tour we were able to customize it to make the best out of it. The communication was very good. We always got very quick answers and everything was organized even our request of adding a zip line tour on our way was done by Hamisi and the driver. So we really didnt have to worry about anything.
The day before we started, Hamisi came by at our hotel to go through everything and give us some final information.
On the first day we went to a one-day hiker to kilimanjaro. It was nice to at least get a little taste of what it is like going up there. Our guide Michael was very competent and told us lots of stories. The hike up to mandara hut was shorter than expected. There we got some lunch boxes. After that we also went to see a crater close by before heading down. The way back almost took us as long as the hike up. But we enjoyed the rainforest like area. Our driver was already awaiting us and drove us back to the hotel.
The next day we were picked up by Benjamin who was our driver for the safari. He was so kind and entertaining. We loved his stories about his safari experiences and also his life and enjoyed playing card games in the evenings with him. We drove to Tarangire National Park and had a game drive and our lunch there. We spotted lots of elephants, giraffes and many more. Afterwards we headed to Fig Tree Lodge for the overnight stay. There we got a huge dinner.
The next day we had our additional zip line tour we wanted to add by ourselves which was organized by Colours Africa Tours. Afterwards we picked up our chef and drove altogether through ngorongoro conservation site with nice view point to olduvai gorge were we went through the museum there and got a short overview from a guide there. Meanwhile the lunch was prepared there. Afterwards we headed to Serengeti national park where we arrived in the late afternoon and had a beautiful game drive with the early evening sun while driving to the public campsite.
There our chef Collin prepared our dinner and we got help by building up our tent from a local guy at the campsite. Dinner was amazing. We always had great food. Collin really did a great job in those small kitchens.
The next day, we drove to the northern part of Serengeti to spot the great migration. It was a long drive but it ws definitely worth it and a major highlight for us. We had a nice breakfast picnic on the way. Then we were so lucky to spot the large groups of wildebeest and zebras wandering through the area. We even spotted them crossing Mara river twice that day. And we also saw crocodiles attacking them. It was a very impressive experience we will never forget. Afterwards we drove back to the campsite where Collin awaited us with an amazing dinner.
The next day we had a sunrise game drive through the center of Serengeti and a nice brunch back at the camp before we left Serengeti to drive back to ngorongoro. There we went to simba campsite for overnight.
The next day we had our sunrise game drive in the crater. That was also amazing since we very one of the first cars entering. There are so many different kinds of animals on such a small spot at once (compared to Serengeti). Afterward we enjoyed again a delicious brunch and headed to Arusha where our next driver brought us to a hotel in Moshi to have the last day at Materuni village.
Something must have gone wrong here since the hotel staff didn't know anything about our arrival there. But everything was fixed quickly and we got a room to stay. However, I guess we missed some information on the details of the next days so we had not the perfect clothing but in the end it was fine. The waterfall looks nice but you need to make sure you have good shoes with you since the way is very slippery. The people at Materuni village were so nice and took their time to show us everything although we were quite early there. We enjoyed a nice hot lunch with local food and headed to the hot springs. After that we were brought to the airport right in time for us to catch our flight.
All in all, we had a great time with Colours Africa Tours. The tour fitted perfectly to us. It was diversified and entertaining since we had so many different parts with kilimanjaro, safari and materuni. In the planning process the focus was on safari so we were missing some information on the other 2 parts like for example good shoes and reusable water bottles since there are no plastic bottles allowed at kilimanjaro. But everything still could be organized. Our drivers, guides and chef were all very kind and had lots of stories to tell. We definitely would recommend this tour.
Fantastic 3 night trip down the Zambezi. Wonderful, skilled well informed guides - Inspirational.
The Tamarind 3 night canoe safari was done in a school reunion group. I’d done the same trip 3 times previously, most recently in 2019 with family - my wife and 3 teenage children, with Natureways. The previous trip had been magnificent, and I made sure that I did it again (July ‘22) with a group of old school chums. Again it was a fantastic experience. The Zambezi river is a mighty waterway, and the canoeing down from Chirundu to Mana showcases raw, natural Africa at its best. The guides are exceptionally well qualified, knowledgeable and escort the canoes through a wild habitat in a very professional and measured way. The scenery, flora and fauna are spectacular. Camping on the islands in the river at night is a treat, after a full day of canoeing, accompanied by tasty hot dinners rustled up by the guides, with accompanying wine.
A very real, very natural African experience done with comfort and excellent guidance.

Ideal Safari on a budget
Highly recommend the budget Safari with Lenchada Safaris.
Our driver Jeff was an amazing guide who went out of his way to ensure eveyone had the best possible experience and made it possible for us to individually make adjustments to the planned trip (we requested a pick-up in Narok instead of Nairobi), according to our needs.
He shared a lot of knowledge on the wildlife and was able to answer all our questions. Communication was crystal clear and the Lenchada tented camp also great, we especially enjoyed the food (best Mandasis I had in Kenia!!) and bonfires there. Staff was great aswell. Jeff is a very skilled and responsible driver and guide, and a fun person to be around, we would definitely recommend asking for him as a driver :) In the end we had the feeling we got way more then what we paid for :–)

Great organization and professionality
Delighted to have chosen this operator. On a Safari in Africa, what matters is organization and reliability, as well as, of course, looking for animals. African big cats assisted us with professionalism right from the first email contacts. Once in Arusha everything was perfectly organized for the following days: Tarangire, Serengeti (2 days), Ngorongoro, Lake Manyara. Even the hotels selected for our overnight stays turned out to be a wonderful surprise. A special mention for the guide, who in a safari is the real balance and can make the holiday unforgettable or terrifying. With Lovoi, our guide, we felt at home, he is very nice and helpful, he drives carefully and has identified many animals (we were lucky and we completed the big five). Special thanks to him, Justice and Immanuel! Super recommended experience!
