Very helpful during COVID
We had a Safari planned in Tanzania for this September, but COVID forced our airline to cancel our flight over to Africa so we could not make our trip.
We had already put a deposit down for our Safari, which we had to wire over with our bank. This was a very easy process, though.
Since our trip was cancelled, we needed to request a refund for our deposit. The company graciously refunded our ENTIRE deposit and wired it back to us in a very timely manner. We used Western Union for the wire and it was a seamless transaction.
Omar helped us along the way with everything! Omar spent a couple of weeks with us over email creating our perfect safari, and he did! We were very disappointed we could not experience it.
When we plan our trip back to Tanzania, we will be contacting Omar with Connect African Safaris!

What an incredible experience we had. The trip was perfectly organized and the food was fantastic especially the meat,and then there was the leader very friendly, attentive to the group and had us laughing always. Crossing the bridge was scary and challenging but the views made it totally worth the effort. Honestly i cannot think of a way this trip could have been better.We were so well cared for.

Fantastic Service
Not enough can be said for how well the organization is run. We have done many safaris several times and none of those can compare to the Serengeti Camping Safari experience. They were very friendly extremely knowledgeable and always willing to share this enthusiasm with us. We didn't really know what to expect but were surprised with the amenities of the lodges and the uniqueness of the safari. David Sumba gave us unique experience with animals and information that helped us value what we saw. We really enjoyed our stay there. I strongly recommend Serengeti Camping Safari.

Superior Safari Experience
One year ago I decided to fulfill a lifelong dream with my sister of going on safari. I embarked on researching the options of which countries, Tour Company and activities. After a few months of exploring many possibilities and prices, I selected Meru slope tours. Their name says it all. I worked with Luis for the last year. He provided excellent timely customer service. I am not exaggerating when I say that we exchanged 50+ emails as I was crafting the perfect 8 day safari adventure. Once the destinations were identified, I really appreciated that he offered Standard, Comfort, Exclusive and Premium accommodation options per location. He went above and beyond by providing me with extensive information. I was pleased with all my lodges on safari. For your first safari, I highly recommend using a safari expert to guide and protect you. I would strongly suggest to only use a Land Cruiser vehicle due to the weather conditions and terrain. We had 2 different safari guides. I completely trusted them. They delivered excellent knowledge of the animals, environment and culture. The simplest things like adapters and chargers can sometimes become a challenge, as well as bathrooms and logistics, but rest assure the guides know what to do. Something I admired with all 2 guides was how connected and resourceful they were with the other guides in the parks. There is definitely a brotherhood that is based on comradery. Even when we encountered some challenges, Luis responded immediately to resolve the situation. One great example was upgrading our vehicle and we were very satisfied with the outcome. I would also like to state that the majority of people we encountered were kind, thoughtful and accommodating. My experience in Africa was very positive and safe. Meru slope tours did everything to make our adventures memorable that will last for a lifetime. I can’t wait to go back!

From my initial inquiry until the drop off at the airport Emanuel was fantastic to work with.
Emanuel worked with me to customize our safari and everything went very smoothly and was planned perfectly. I was traveling with my 85 year old mother and he was helpful and attentive to her needs. As a guide he is simply amazing and has an uncanny ability to spot elusive animals!
