Johnson Mule is THE BEST!
I don’t think there’s enough positive words to describe Johnson Mule!
He is so professional, courteous and totally exceeded my expectations. He arrived at the pick up point early and was there to welcome us in the van with a huge smile and an explanation of the itinerary. He’s a safe driver and cares about his passengers and he went above and beyond to make sure that we were comfortable during the ride.
During the tour, he provided so much knowledge and facts about everything - animals, plants, birds, geography, and more… that we would otherwise never know otherwise, while still keeping us entertained throughout.
If he was exhausted from the long trip like we were at the end of the long day he never showed at all as he exhibited pure enthusiasm throughout.
I’ll definitely be sure to plan more trips with Lionhead Tours but I’d ask for Johnson Mule over and over.

Amazing safari experience with top service
We were extremely happy with this safari tour!! Definitely worth the money (and also one of the cheapest we could find). Everything was great - we stayed in a tent camp with some really welcoming locals. The tent was pretty big and comfortable, with a double bed and a private bathroom (incl. hot water).
Although our safari van broke down as soon as we arrived at masai mara, the team was very fast at finding a solution - in the end, we got a free upgrade to a nicer (more expensive) 4x4 :))
Overall, everything was very smooth and we have nothing negative to say. You can rest assured that the tour team will make their best to give you the best experience and to make you happy!

Expert, Respectful and Fast Response.
Amazing experience with Telly Africa Safari. In addition to all the other great and positive observations, It truly makes it different the way of communicating and responding swiftly to the queries and managing the situations.
Jose is a respectful and an expert guide, sharp in spotting the good views/catches with lots of information. Very minor and almost Negligible comment is to have the food warm as possible.

From the moment I booked, the communication was on point and finally we had the best guide in Skhu, who was patient and tried his best to get us to see many (if not all) the animals in only 3 hours. The trip to Tsavo East, Amboseli and Tsavo west was an excellent experience. Their staff are very friendly and supportive. Kikitu was really Knowledgeable and knew the best areas in the park to see wildlife. Maggie was really helpful when booking tour-responsive, I will choose Bison Safaris any day!

Fun, safe, professional, genuine - must do Kruger with Wild Wings
We went on the 4 day Wild Wings Kruger Safari and can highly recommend!
Booking/Office:
Everything from booking to general enquiries was handled promptly by our consultant Michael - including a courtesy email a couple of days before our trip. Wild wings send you a information guidebook when booking which we found incredibly helpful. Service, communication and transfers from Johannesburg were 10/10.
Safari/Tour guide: We had a great time with our guide Rufus - the itinerary was flexible each day making it an extremely fun and relaxed trip. We never felt like we were on a tour because the timing was up to us (we were lucky to have a small group of 4 as we travelled in the off season). Breakfast and dinner is cooked by your guide - if you’re lucky to get Rufus you’re in for a treat. We loved Rufus’ banter and genuine passion. He has 16 years in the industry and it shows when he sees a hyena more than a kilometre away!
Time of year/game viewing:
The off-season made no impact to our animal viewing - it is a game of luck however we managed to see the Big 5 on day 1 and 4 leopards in total! December is a great time to go - seeing the baby animals is an experience of a life time. Not everyone was as lucky as us. It helped that Rufus knew everyone and has a good network to find the best game viewing on the day.
Advice:
Wear layers
Bring binoculars
Bring shampoo and conditioner for the bungalow at Skukuza (only soaps provided)
Laundromat mentioned at skukuza camp did not have washing machines
Store at skukuza camp is well stocked with fruit, vegetables, sandwiches/snacks, liquor and has a cafe, restaurant, and souvenir store.

I had the best experience in touring the East Africa ,and I can't wait to go to the south of Africa.
