The best in Tanzania!!!
5/5

We had a phenomenal experience with Kilimanjaro Economy Safari climbing the Marangu Route (6 days). The guides were highly professional; every day they conducted a medical check to make sure we were all feeling alright, and helped ensure that we were taking care of ourselves properly. They fed us well, and provided all sorts of interesting facts and motivation to help get all of us up the mountain. In our group of 10, all of us made it to the summit! Our guides were also all Tanzanian/locals, which was great. Some other companies use Americans to lead their trips, which seemed unnecessary. The locals knew the mountain better, were fantastic ambassadors for their country, and in general just fun. I would highly recommend Kilimanjaro Economy Safari for anyone looking for climb Kili!! For what it's worth, we purchased the trip through the website The Clymb and were able to get a somewhat substantial discount that way. Might be worth exploring

Above and beyond imagination with our guide Bariki
5/5

The trip was spontaneously arranged ard a month ago but turned out to be one of my best traveling experiences. Our guide Bariki has made this trip above and beyond excellence.

1. Bariki was incredibly knowledgeable and educated in all areas from animal wildlife, geography, plantation, geography to Tanzanian cultures & tribes. We shot him hundreds of questions along the game drives, and there’s barely one he cannot answer with a concrete, detailed and solid answer. With Bariki, our walking book, I was absorbing so much knowledge along the journey. That was not sth the same as reading from the internet, Bariki has made a lot of the differences.
2. Nature is out of our control, we spotted 4 out of the big 5. Yet for every animal we saw, we got the perfect if not best spot to witness. Bariki has done magic to his driving stick & engine ( u can’t imagine the adrenaline lol), we were the first JEEP to watch the wildebeest migration, lion hunting and so much more.
3. A friendly, welcoming, caring and very humorous guide like Bariki has upgraded the whole safari experience, and turned every meal into laughers. The trust and confidence built early on has quickly made us friends :) There are a lot of interesting animals stories, geography formation and cultural discussion in the car and on the meal tables I will never forget.

I can’t thank Bariki enough for this experience and am forever grateful. He is beyond 10/10! If u will go with Gosheni, make sure u reserve Bariki! Thanks GOSHENI & Peter! HAKUNA MATATA!

Friendly
4/5

I traveled with Rotary from the USA. With that being said; one should note that when with Rotary we do not spend much on ourselves and I didn’t expect fancy trappings on the trip. I could say the value for money was good. Our tour guide Bridget as a lovely young woman who did all she could to make our trip a great one. We had van trouble but those things happen. The tour company should have switched out the car from the beginning. Our accommodations were all good with the exception of the hotel in Entebbe, which we had to stay in twice during our trip. That place was poorly run and no one should go there with a tour company. The other hotels were very nice. The Highlites of the trip was the Gorilla park! The hospitality was overall very lovely. The terrific drivers of the vans became our new friends. Africa was brilliant and I’m going back!

Amazing safari with great staff and a lovely group!
5/5

We went for a 3d/2n group safari with Meijo safaris and at first we thought that because it's a budget safari it would not be as good as the more expensive safaris. But on the contrary we had a really great time and it lacked nothing!

The owner Daudi cares so much about his customers, we had a briefing a day before the safari and he was even at our hotel after the safari to hear about our experience if there is anything they could improve on. Such a great service!

The driver Goodluck (Goodie) picked us up at the agreed time and we drove to pick up the others in the group. I can really recommend going for a group safari as it's so much more fun meeting new people than going on a private safari. Goodie was an amazing driver, so friendly and easy to talk to, he has 20 years of experience and really made the best out of every day. We saw so many animals and got to see all of the big 5 which is quite rare as especially the Rhino is not that common to see.

The cook Kelvin who joined the trip made really good food every day and is also a super friendly guy.

As for the amenities, they were basic, a shared bathroom with showers/toilets and a kitchen in all the camps. We stayed in tents we built ourselves which was a great outdoor adventure experience! A bonus was that the camps were open so having zebras, baboons etc in the camps or passing by the camps was not uncommon which was so lovely!

Overall an amazing experience and we can highly recommend Meijo safaris, you will not regret choosing this company!

Competent staff, reliable agency, the big five passed, crossing Mara river failed
4/5

Five days safari: Lake Naivasha - Masai Mara - Lake Nakuru, six person in total as agreed. Very well organized budget safari trip. Good communication with agency staff. Quick response for any question. Nice and helpful personnel (Mary was very competent). Accommodation on acceptable level (common budget conditions). Food good enough but not luxury. However generally I had to pay for every drinks for lunch and dinner or use water which was provided by safari agency ( 1 liter per day). Tea and instant coffee was provided for free for breakfast. Car was a little bit old and neglected without air condition but it was not a problem. Guide was pretty efficient and could find animals which we wanted to see. Visit in Masai village was not so exciting for me. In Hell Gate park we payed 25 $ extra for local guide but better option is to go inside by car ( 13 $ fees only; guide is not needed at all). The biggest inconvenient: long journeys between safari parks and Nairobi. Recommendation: good camera and binoculars (a mobile phone is not enough), own wine if somebody needs. If I go for safari second time more I would book my trip in this agency.

Amazing
5/5

From the beginning when we started to plan our holiday Elly, the owner of Shengena Adventure was very responsive and accommodated all our requests. Our guide Godwin was amazing and made our experience very special. He is an excellent driver and managed to get a great spot when we were watching the migration. It was such a special experience! We saw all the animals really close and feel like we had lifetime adventure. We spent 6 days and every day was so exciting! We can’t wait to go back!

Great people & a lovely adventure!
5/5

My husband and I travelled last-minute (literally 3 days before departure) and communication with the Shemeji office was very fast and organized, even if not super accommodating. Once in Tanzania, we had a great experience with the local Operations Manager, Fidelis, who proved to be very helpful and ready to sort out quickly and happily all of our requests.

Who made our safari an excellent one, though, was our guide and driver — Edward. We think Edward’s best quality is to be excellent at reading your needs and immediately adapting and satisfying them. Whatever you need or feel like, make sure to tell him, and he’ll make it happen — want to see a certain animal? He’ll make sure to get you there. Need a slower day but still taking advantage of your safari? Hakuna matata, he’ll give you his best suggestions and you’ll tailor your day. This on top of being very knowledgeable about flora, fauna, and local culture, and having great driving skills (which you’ll need considering how much time you’ll spend in the jeep).

We chose the “comfort” version of our package, and accommodations were very nice, would have been perfect if we had had hot water in all 3 of the lodges (we did in 2). That being said, staff was WONDERFUL, and always made sure to give you an amazing stay — special shout-out to the Africa Safari Ikoma staff, especially Daniel, who ensured we had the time of our lives and unforgettable memories in Serengeti.

Therefore, overall quality-price ratio of our 6-day experience was very good. Animals and views were amazing, but the people are who made the difference!

Enjoy!
5/5

Service provided by Africa Uncovered Safaris could be described as customer orientated. The response from Archie to our requests were quick. The routine itinerary had been adjusted so as to meet our expectations. The lodges and hotels he arranged were comfortable and clean. Cosmas, our guide, was reliable. We enjoyed every things of the tour and was no doubt to ask AUS to plan for our future trip.

Exceptional skill and service
5/5

Allen did a fantastic job crafting the safari of our dreamscape for our honeymoon and was very patient with us when exploring various itineraries and costing them out.
Sudi was an outstanding guide who gave us a truly first class experience. He has an exceptional talent for reading animal behaviour and placing you in the right spot to witness it. And his knowledge of the plains seemed limitless. I cannot recommend him enough.
