Wonderful Experience from Start to Finish
Kathi, from African Welcome Safaris provided tremendous service and value for our recent trip to South Africa. She made every step of our travel easy and fun, ensuring that we stayed at appropriate lodgings four our tastes and experienced a wide variety of glimpses into this beautiful country.
Additionally, the communication and preparation were outstanding. We were provided with options that were clear and concise, so we could make our decisions quickly and confidently. We especially enjoyed the interactive digital overview that guided us along our journey.
We traveled with confidence, felt secure for the entire time, and experienced a wide variety of activities and tours, all at a very reasonable cost. The hassle-free airport transfers and tours were especially helpful and well-planned.
The highlights included a full day driving tour from Cape Town to the Calpe of Good Hope (including marvelous panoramic cliff-top views and a penguin sanctuary), and our 4 days of Safari in Sabi-Sabi, where we stayed at Little Bush Lodge.
We wil definitely return to South Africa and we will definitely use Kathi and African Welcome Safaris again. We have already shared their info with friends that are traveling to South Africa later this year.
Thanks AWS and Kathi in particular for making our trip so spectacular.

A Winner All Around.
I was satisfied in every way with my experience with Mufasa Tours and especially my guide Nelson.
From our first phone call, which ended with “no worries, now you have a friend in Nairobi” to a great trip to Amboseli and a timely drop off at the airport, everything was perfect.
I hesitated at first because I only had one night and it was a 5 hour drive each way, but I’m so glad I went.
Nelson is a rare human being who finds great satisfaction in making other people smile, and I was clearly a beneficiary.
The drive flew by, filled with insightful conversations about family life, Kenyan culture, animals and more with many laughs along the way.
I met him as a client and left as a friend.
My single night at Kibo lodge was great, with nice people, direct views of Kilimanjaro and a spiffy room.
In the park we saw the big five and much more even during this short visit, and with the recent rains it was looking lush and green again.
We also stopped along the way for a guided visit a Maasai village, which I would also recommend.
Overall a highly memorable experience.
Go for it!

This was an amazing trip where we could immerse ourselves in the safari with an experienced guide!
We spent our 8 day safari with our guide Ezekiel and our "stomach engineer" Constantine both of which did an excellent job making us feel welcome throughout the trip. Ezekiel was very experienced could spot creatures out of the corner of his eye that we had completely missed. He was quick to answer our many questions and was happy to stop and let us look at every single bird, rodent or dung beetle that passed our way. Ezekiel's meals were excellent - we would have loved a copy of his soup recipes for home.
We did a mix of adventure camping (Very minimal campsites) and lodges which was the perfect mix for us. We could see the elephants, giraffes and wildebeest from our tent and were even woken up one night by the loud "mooing" of the wildebeest when they surrounded us. It was absolutely stunning.
The only negative aspects was that the car was a bit older/dirty and at one point sprung a leak in the windshield as we drove around. (Or the charger couldn't be used when we were driving on the bumpy road). But overall we had an amazing experience and would love to do this trip again with Ezekiel and Constantine as our companions.

It was very pretty
My family and I had a great time. The tour company was very accommodating and went above and beyond for our needs.

Great guide, excellent communication, and stress-free visit
We did a three day trip with Hyrax at Masai Mara between 3-5 April (non-private tour). Emmah was excellent in communicating all the details of the trip in advance, and was very prompt in responding to all our queries before and during the trip. Ben, our driver and guide was very knowledgeable and thanks to him we managed to see a lot of the wildlife at Masai. We stayed at the glass house in Jambo Mara, which had excellent facilities. Do note that because the place is run with solar power, the power is cut off between midnight and early morning at Jambo Mara. But the weather was cool at night, and it did not bother us. Highly recommend Hyrax for making our trip stress-free and very enjoyable.
