About: Zimbabwe
Zimbabwe offers a balanced destination with great sites and low costs. A must do for everyone
Overall rating
5/5

The Safari's at Zimbabwe are recommended as the hotels/ lodges are all well maintained, offer a wide variety of rooms/ accomodation types. The safaris give you great chance to view a variety of game (animals and birds) and also experience nature in its original form. The other advantage is also that the costs are not very high and there are options to suit all budgets. Zimbabwe also has the advantage of being English spoken with all people extremely polite and service oriented. All in all its a great place to visit for safaris and an experience closer to nature.

Elephants, predators and a beautiful river
Overall rating

Great wildlife can be viewed at Chobe. The highlight is the hundreds of elephants who don the landscape in huge herds. Also lots of predators including crocodile, lions, and the elusive leopard! we even spotted one in a tree as our guide parked the vehicle right under the tree. It was the most surreal moment of the safari. Some hairs do stand up on the back of your neck. The lodges there are right in the middle of it all blending in very well.

Botswana has some very beautiful areas, such as Makgadikgadi, Chobe, Moremi and Okavango Delta, with loads of wildlife. However, it's close proximity to South Africa makes it a busy place. Many campsites in National Parks need to be booked more than a year in advance. This pre-arrangement doesn't give the country a real 'bush-vibe', although some gems, such as Makgadikgadi still feel very much like the real deal.

Beautiful and quiet, and one of the best places in Africa to view wild dogs.

I think its just the most pristine and safe safari destination of all African safari places. Not too many real concrete roads, wildlife at its best.
