We had the best driver Ezekiel. If you book a safari ask for him. He found more animals that we could have hoped for. He is a nice guy. The lodges were great as well. Everything was well organised.

Private Safari with small kids
Our experience with Axis Safari was overall mixed, with some very positive aspects but also some important issues.
The biggest positive was undoubtedly our guide, John Mwangi. Our first interaction with the initial guide was unfortunately very poor, and after just a few minutes we asked Axis to change the guide. Axis accepted our request and arranged for John to take over, which we appreciated.
John was excellent throughout the safari. He was knowledgeable, professional and particularly good at finding special wildlife encounters and positioning the vehicle at the right moments. Thanks to him, we had some truly memorable experiences, including an incredible leopard sighting.
The PrideInn Mara was also a very pleasant part of the experience. The food was good, and the staff were friendly and attentive.
The main disappointment was the safari vehicle. From the beginning, we had specifically requested a vehicle with canvas-covered rear windows, as we were travelling privately with two young children. When John took over, his vehicle did not have canvas-covered windows. We therefore asked Axis to keep both requirements: a different guide and a vehicle with canvas.
Axis ultimately arranged for John to exchange vehicles with the initial guide, meaning we ended up using the initial guide’s vehicle — the same vehicle we had arrived in. We had only spent around five minutes in that vehicle initially, so we did not have the opportunity to properly assess its condition at that point. We chose to keep it because it was the only vehicle with canvas that Axis was able to make available to us.
Unfortunately, over the following minutes, we discovered several issues with the vehicle. Most importantly, the majority of the seat belts were not functioning properly, which we found unacceptable when travelling with young children. There were also other maintenance issues, including charging ports that did not work and windows and doors that were not functioning properly. In addition, the vehicle was not particularly comfortable, which was disappointing given that this was a private safari and we spent many hours in the vehicle each day.
To be fair, Axis was responsive to our requests and did make efforts to accommodate the change of guide and our requirement for a canvas-covered vehicle. However, we feel that the standard of the vehicle, both in terms of safety and comfort, was below what we expected from a private safari.
Overall, John was excellent and made a significant difference to our experience, and PrideInn Mara was also very good. Unfortunately, the initial guide experience and, in particular, the condition and comfort of the vehicle prevented us from giving Axis a fully positive review.

A well-organized safari with an outstanding driver
We had a very positive experience with Bienvenido Kenya Tours and Safaris. Everything was well organized and reliable, and communication was easy throughout the trip.
A special thank you to our driver, Morgan, who was fantastic: always helpful, kind and an excellent driver, even in Nairobi’s busy traffic. He really contributed to making our safari such a memorable experience.
The safari itself was exciting and unforgettable. The accommodations were generally good, although the meals at the last hotel were not quite at the same level as the previous ones.
One reflection, which is not really about the agency itself, concerns safari tourism in general: in some areas there are now many vehicles around the animals, which seem completely accustomed to traffic and noise. Perhaps, in the future, the safari experience could be managed in a way that better preserves the feeling of being in the wild.
Overall, we were very happy with the service and would gladly recommend Bienvenido Kenya Tours and Safaris.

Amazing Safari and great guide!
We had a 7 days safari in Masai Mara-lake Nakuru-Amboseli, all done with our guide David.
David is a great and experienced guide, with an amazing knowledge about all the animals and the natural reserves information.
All the accomodations were clean, comfortable with wi-fi, electricity and hot water.
The food is nice and typical and the staff has always been friendly and supportive.
The only issue we highlight is about the distance between the 3 parks that can cause a lot of time waste.
A part from that, we totally suggest this experience once in a life time!

Our experience in Maasai Mara Kenya was epic! Our guide Electine was very helpful and full of insight of the wild Mara. We had the chance of seeing all the big five jungle masters, not mentioning the thrilling wilder beast crossing across the Mara River.

A Journey of the life
All was PERFECT !!!! Since the beginning James was quick to respond and he immediately understood our requests and he arranged for us an unforgettable 8 days Safari (Masai Mara, Lake Nakuru, Amboseli). The accomodations that he choose for us were very clean, safe and close to the parks. The food was delicious, varied, and plentiful.
What about our guide Dominik? He is a tireless driver and he made us feel very safe during the trip outside and inside the parks. Thanks to him, we were able to observe all the animals we wanted to see up close, including the Great Migration.
He always answered to our questions and explained the wildlife behaviours.

Classic Bait-and-Switch: Promised Northern Serengeti Migration, Altered Itinerary After Payment
Be very careful with this operator. They used a classic bait-and-switch on our group.
Before booking, we repeatedly confirmed that we wanted to see the Great Migration in Northern Serengeti. They charged us a migration upgrade surcharge, repeatedly confirmed in writing that we would go to Northern Serengeti/Mara River, and explicitly stated this in the formal quote.
Once we paid in full, they quietly sent an unagreed, downgraded itinerary (replacing Northern Serengeti with Central Serengeti) without our consent. During the actual trip, they never took us to Northern Serengeti at all. Furthermore, the driver arrived 1.5 hours late on Day 1, which caused us to spend the entire first day on the road with zero sightseeing, and he only spoke French despite the quote promising an English-speaking guide.
Do not trust their pre-booking promises or written quotes. They use the Great Migration to get your money, then unilaterally change the itinerary once paid. Avoid them at all costs!

We had an amazing experience with Charles K from Axis! Everything was arranged from timely pick up from the hotel to drop off. Our drives in the park were wonderful, our driver was very experienced and honestly we have seen every animal I could have imagined and more!
