beautiful experience in Tsavo East and Taita Hills
Our guide, Patrick, accompanied us on this wonderful three-day adventure in Tsavo East and Taita Hills National Parks. We were fortunate and honored to see so many animals and Kenya's fantastic landscapes! Patrick was incredibly kind and professional, explaining everything in detail and making this an incredible experience. We stayed at Voi Safari Lodge and SaltLick Lodge, both truly beautiful, immersed in nature and equipped with every comfort.

An excellent experience which definitely surpassed all of our expectations - best guide!
This was probably one of the best holiday experiences we have ever had! It started with a personal consultation session via video conference, where one of African Big Cats Safari (ABCATS) employees took a lot of time to explore the various options with me and told us how we could structure our journey. We ended up with a one package consisting of one week safari through 3 national parks (Tarangire, Ngorogoro, Serengeti) followed by a week in a Zanzibar resort.
After agreeing on the various components, I was then transferred to another employee who handled all of our pre-departure logistics including booking of domestic flights, payments and other preparatory work.
All in all, African Big Cats handled this phase extremely professionally, coupled with a very personal touch.
When we arrived in Tanzania, we were greeted by our driver, Obedi at the airport, who would be our guide for the Safari week. We were extremely lucky to have Obedi and I cannot recommend him enough! He was friendly, extremely professional and a master of his trade: he knew so much about the widlife and explained a lot to us and he maneouvred the jeep across all types of road diligently and smoothly. We felt very very safe in his hands and thoroughly enjoyed our time with him. The vehicle was very well maintained and always clean. Obedi took such good care of us!
The lodges/ our accomodation which were selected by ABCATS were all of high quality and we felt safe and comfortable in all of them - there were of course differences in style and level but we were very satisfied throughout. Our favourite lodge was Kubu Kubu in Serengeti.
Finally, also all other aspects of the journey were smooth: the internal flights from Serengeti to Zanzibar, the airport transfer from the airport to our resort (which was also very pleasant).
In summary I would highly recommend ABCATS to anyone who is considering a journey to Tanzania. You will not be disappointed! Finally, it is worth noting that the company is completely Tanzanian-owned, so it is a great way to support the local economy.

Great communication and safety
People say an African Safari is a once in a lifetime experience, but I feel I can’t wait to go back with my kids and grandkids.The communication with Tellena Tours was excellent from the beginning of planning until the day we left. I dealt with Victor and he was always available and showed up whenever we were in Nairobi to make sure everything was going as planned. Our tour guide, Dickson, made the safari complete as he made sure we saw the Big 5 and his ability to see hidden animals was amazing.My wife and i felt extremely safe with Dickson as well as enjoying his personality.
A few suggestions/changes I would give is to arrange air travel between the different national parks as traffic is unpredictable and we lost most of one of our days there driving to another park (we had planned for 4-5 hours and it took over 8). Flights are an adventure themselves and being in a Land Cruiser for an extended period an become uncomfortable, Also make sure to confirm the Land Cruiser is a newer model with taller windows (ours was dated and I was constantly bending to see outside). We did the hot air balloon in Masai Mara and it was amazing (the landing can be a little rough so be prepared). Also, if air conditioning is important to you, make sure and request it where available (i don’t believe most hotels inside the parks have it as the nights are traditionally cool). One last thing, let them know if you plan to bring large luggage so they can arrange a larger vehicle.

Very responsive and great overall trip
Very easy and fast communication through WhatsApp.
The tour itself wasn’t quite what we expected, we were thinking it would be a small tour group doing a series of activities but instead it was staying at a lodge and doing their activities. This ended up working well and we got to meet different people on different tours. The room was very nice to stay in and it was a great break from organising the rest of the trip to turn up somewhere and it all be sorted to the point where you don’t even pay for your meals.

Great Experience
From the very beginning, the safari experience was excellent. Everyone—from the organiser, David, to my drivers, Ezekiel and Nicole—was incredibly attentive. Their knowledge of the animals, landscape, plants and terrain added so much value to the trip.
We saw an amazing range of wildlife.
Unfortunately, I just missed out on seeing a leopard, so I did not quite complete the Big Five—but that is simply the luck of the draw!
It is worth noting that safari operators often work together, so I changed jeeps a couple of times and travelled with drivers who were not directly employed by Pedaso Safaris. This did not detract from the experience at all; in fact, I enjoyed meeting lots of new people. However, it is useful to be aware of this beforehand, as it was not immediately clear from the advertisement.
