AMAZING
5/5

Roberto and his staff are incredible. Very professional in organizing everything from the begin. They really knows how to take care of the customers which, in my opinion, is a primary target for the tour operators that works in Africa which is not a simple country.
We had the chance to go up in the Kilimangiaro for our first seven days and then we continued for a 6 nights Safari all over the parks in Tanzania.
I would 100% recommend Savannah Explorers for your amazing experience in Africa.

a well-planned and wonderful trip
5/5

We worked with Derek on planning a 12-day tour of Namibia, visiting all the usual highlights. Derek did an excellent job of answering all my questions, booking wonderful lodges, and keeping us updated. And John, our guide, took good care of us, gave us lots of insight into Namibia, and was a very safe driver. He also responded with good humor to our two small children, who were sometimes challenging in their own ways. We saw a great deal of wildlife and the country was very beautiful! I certainly recommend Bluecrane and we were glad to have worked with them.

We were on a 6 days machame route Kilimanjaro hiking with Bujo tours in Tanzania .We were a group of 2 .Everything was as planned ,and great people made our adventure and unforgettable..It is always the people and the team that makes the tour great.
Thank you so much Bujo for your cooperation and planning our trip together with us.We had good guides, porters, and the cook. The food was good and was freshly prepared.Even though we had little altitude problems but our guide handled us with care.Thank you for taking care of all these with pleasure.

Wonderful Zanzibar Holiday
5/5

My husband and I went for one week holiday to Zanzibar for our fifth anniversary. It was an amazing week. Regional Tours and Safaris arranged for everything. They booked our local flights, accommodations and transport around Zanzibar.
We stayed for 2 nights in Serena Beach Hotel in Stone where we spent the first 2 days exploring the ancient buildings, Prison Island and nice restaurants in Zanzibar. We bought a lot of souvenirs from locals. We were then transferred to Hotel La Gemma in Nungwi which was incredible. The hotel was right in the ocean and has a lovely beach front. The hotel has a swimming pool in which we spent most afternoons. There is also a spa where the staff was friendly.
Our fifth anniversary was relaxing and it helped us unwind from our everyday busy lives, I couldn’t have been happier with Regional Tours and Safaris. I will definitely be recommending them to all my friends.

Very Good
4/5

After our original tour operator vanished all of a sudden just two days before the Start, we made a scramble to salvage the tour and we got the reference of Splendor Holidays. We were quite assured once we talked to Lucy (the owner of the Company), yet we were not certain how it will turn out. But the moment we landed in Nairobi, Lucy was there to receive us and take us to respective places in Kenya all the time. She was always available over phone or in person whenever necessary. We must also admit that she quoted us quite reasonable despite being aware that we are in distress to salvage the program.
As she has to fall back on the pre-booked hotels/lodges/camps (booked by the previous operator) due to shortage of time, some of the accommodation in Kenya (Kimana tented camp at Amboseli) was not quite to our expectations.
Her team of drivers were fabulous, quite knowledgeable about safari terrain & wildlife, and they guided us throughout the trip.
Kenyan and Tanzanian people in general are very warm, honest and welcoming. Someone of us got back his lost wallet, someone got back her USD Cash tied in a handkerchief & kept under the pillow even after one hour of hotel check-out. In all the places, The staff listened to all our trivial grievances with utmost courtesy & calmness; and they arranged whatever we asked for & they could.
Masai Mara and Serengeti are the ultimate destination for wildlife safari, we saw plenty of big Five and a landscape never to forget.
We will say that one can go ahead with Splendor Holidays and will never regret.
Lucy is one of the best tour operators that we have seen so far.

Nice tour with a need of improvement
3/5

We booked a five day tour in Selous Game Reserve and Mikumi National Park with this operator.
Before departure, communication was easy and quick with the office in Dar Es Salaam.
Upon request I was told that we have a private room and bathroom in a cabin/large tent, power and WiFi in all the camps. Also I was told that we could store our suitcases in the operator’s office while being on the safari and that we would be able to catch the last ferry to Zanzibar (4pm) on the return day.
However, none of these expectations were fulfilled.
Luckily, we could store our luggage at the hotel and I decided to book a flight to Zanzibar in the evening of return day instead of taking the ferry, which we never would have made in time.
As to the other promises: when we finally got to the first camp in Selous the first day after driving for 6 hours, our expectations were not fulfilled at all. Our cabin was rundown, there was no water in the sink and very little (and only cold) water in the shower. Power kept failing and of course there was no WiFi, which is fine but could have been told us in advance instead of lying to us. Provided food was eatable but not great (both nights for dinner we had rice with a little bit of vegetables and sauce).
In the afternoon of the first day we had a boat safari (as stated in the itinerary) which was quite disappointing because we merely saw a few hippos from great distance somewhere in the water.
The full day Game Drive the next day, however, was great!
Our driver Michael did a great job showing us lots of animals like giraffes, zebras, elephants, hippos, wildebeest, impalas and lions. This day as well as the full day tour in Mikumi Nationalpark two days later were a really great adventure for all of us.
What‘s really disappointing is the fact that three out of five days are spent in the car driving from one spot to another. So besides the 6 hours on day 1 we had to drive 10 hours from Selous to Mikumi on day 3 and then again 7 hours on the last day to get back to Dar Es Salaam. Surely, the operator cannot be blamed for bad road conditions, but it would be nice to know in advance how much time is really spent in the car.
Last but not least: the Bastian Camp in Mikumi is a great place, I would definitely stay there again! Even though we only got a tent with a shared bathroom on the camp site (instead of the promised private bathroom) this place was much nicer and cleaner than the camp before. For dinner there was a small buffet with soup, various main dishes and desert and for breakfast you could choose among various options.
It was mostly for this place and our great driver Michael that I decided to rate three stars for the tour.
