The trip of a lifetime with Dana East Africa Safaris!
I just spent an incredible 6 days in Tanzania, visiting Tarangire, Ngorongoro Crater, and the Serengeti with Dana East Africa Safaris. The trip went smoothly from start to finish, and I appreciate the personal help Daniel gave me from the get go. I’m usually a planner, and it was new for me to sit back and trust someone else to plan the perfect trip. But I gave him budget constraints, and ideas of things I wanted to see, and Daniel worked his magic wand to make it all happen! He also handpicked the PERFECT guide for me - as a solo traveller, I am so appreciative of the wonderfully calm, professional demeanor of my guide Julius, and his long term knowledge/experience of Tanzania and the animals. (He was simply the best!) I don’t usually like to use booking agencies, but I will 100% use Dana East Africa Safaris whenever I am in this part of the world, and wouldn’t trust anyone else. Great safari thanks to our fantastic guide Musa!
We (a couple 27/29 years old) had an awesome 6-day trip through the Tarangire NP, the Serengeti NP, the Ngorongoro crater and the Lake Manyara Park with incredible views, diverse wildlife, comfy and safe lodges and good (although only rarely typically Tansanian) food. Lion King organized everything perfectly and the communication with them was also very easy, friendly and with quick responses.
The HIGHLIGHT and the best of our trip was our safari guide Musa!! He is such a friendly, funny, polite, well-educated and intelligent guy and is always smiling. He told us tons about the life and wildlife in Tansania, was always helpful, relaxed and did everything to make us feel safe, comfortable and welcome :) His German skills are tremendous - he talks fluently and with no limitations. We, on the other hand, could learn a few Swahili words from him :)

Amazing safari experience thanks to Hassani
We had a wonderful experience with Gosheni Safari. Hassani, our tour guide, always went out of his way to make sure we had a great time. He was extremely knowledgeable about all of the animal species and their habits, landmarks, and locations. You can ask him anything and he will answer you with great detail. He also speaks excellent English so communication was not an issue. He made sure we saw all of the animals in the area, always keeping an eye out for us to see them. He showed us the Big 5, which is something I've always wanted to see so I'm very grateful. Hassani's expert knowledge throughout the safari made my experience way better. It also helps that he is very friendly and humorous.
In the end, I would definitely recommend Gosheni Safari, especially with your guide Hassani. You will have a great time and not be disappointed at all.

The whole trip exceeded all our expectations. We stayed in three different camps in Tanzania, each giving us a different experience, and all three were absolutely amazing! Each camp set in a perfect location surrounded by wildlife, offering great food and drinks. And the wonderful people there!! We were amazed how friendly and warm they were. They made us feel like family and did everything to make our stay nothing but perfect.
I can’t say enough how great our two Safari guides, Esto and Jeremiah, were. Besides being wonderful companion, they are experts in what they do. Thanks to their expertise and experience we saw a leopard, cheetah, many lions, tree-climbing lion, black rhino, giraffes, buffalos, countless elephants and zebras and of course wildebeest crossing! And just driving through the vast areas of this beautiful country was a real treat. They both are superb drivers, too.
Everything throughout our trip worked perfectly. We were picked up by courteous and very informative and knowledgeable drivers right on time. We did not feel stressed or unsure of anything even though we traveled during the ongoing pandemic. COVID – 19 testing procedures at the Kilimanjaro airport were smooth and we were out and on our way to our first accommodation in Arusha in no time. We felt very safe throughout the entire trip, in cars, camps and with our guides. All precautions were in place, masks, hand sanitizers, water and soap, cleanliness of tents, dining tents, cars, everything. Not even once during the entire trip we were concerned in any way about COVID-19 safety. And we came back home sound and healthy and very happy.
This was our first trip with Tailormade Africa, but definitely not the last one. We would not trust anyone else but Clyde and his team to help us with our next African journey.

Ker & Downey was beyond our expectations!
I cannot say enough about how wonderful our trip to Kenya was. We worked through Ker & Downey. From the very beginning Ker & Downey designed a wonderful itinerary and their attention to detail was impeccable. We had to delay our trip because of Covid but once Kenya opened for tourism, we were there. Sarah and her team arranged arranged a way for us to be in touch with them the entire trip which was very comforting. We stayed in Nairobi a couple of days, toured the city and were flown from Nairobi to 3 different camps - each one more luxurious than the last. There were a lot of moving parts and there was not one hitch. Those in the tourist industry have been vaccinated and everywhere we went people were masked and our temperature was taken. We felt more Covid safe there than we did in the US! Our guides were fantastic and fun; vehicles comfortable; animals in the bush were anxious to see us (I think we saw EVERYTHING!), the food was outstanding and did I mention how wonderful the Kenyan people are?! It was definitely the trip of a lifetime – I can’t thank those at Ker & Downey enough!

I could not be more pleased with Fleet Foot Safaris and Go self-drive tours. Hennie Becker and his staff (Sadi, Elaine, Elmor and Ben) could not have been more professional and accommodating. Hennie and his staff organized a 10-day five country tour of South Africa, Zambia, Botswana, Namibia, and Zimbabwe. The planning was soup to nuts; everything from internal flights, to transportation, to lodging, to food, to safari tours to COVID tests. Fleet Foot provided a detailed itinerary in advance, which let us know exactly what was to occur each day and who we should expect..
I was referred to Fleet Foot Safaris by Peter Robert of Gosheni Safaris, who was planning our Tanzania tour. I was so impressed with the responsiveness of Fleet Foot Safaris while planning the trip. I would send an email in the evening and have an answer the next day. Their communication and attention to detail instilled confidence in their ability to deliver. When we landed in Africa, they did not disappoint. We were so impressed with the people, companies and lodges Fleet Foot Safaris hired to accommodate us. The hotels and lodges booked for us were great, both rooms and food. The drivers that were provided were excellent, driving well-maintained vehicles. The safari tours and Victoria Falls tours were great, as well. We saw the “Big Five”, in addition to many other animals and birds. Due to the number of borders we crossed and a number of internal flights, we had to take a series of COVID tests. Fleet Foot Safaris had everything planned out. They even arranged people come to our hotel room to complete a COVID test for a future flight so it was less disruptive to our tour schedule. Fleet Foot Safaris provided personnel to assist us with border crossings and rapid COVID tests.
Fleet Foot Safaris stayed in contact with us during the entire journey, making sure everything was okay and handling any unexpected events along the way.
I highly recommend Fleet Foot Safaris and its sister company GO self-drive tours. I think you will be as impressed as I am with their service and ability to deliver on what they promise.

In one word: perfect!
We had a trip of a lifetime thanks to Grassrootz! We travelled in July/August 2021. We talked to Sander on the phone and his enthusiasm was truly contagious.
We let Sander know what we wanted and ge sent us a great itinerary. I asked him lots of questions in over the mail and he always answered quickly and changed our itinerary according to our wishes and gave good advice.
Emmy was our guide/driver and I have to be honest, we are Emmy fans. He is awesome. He is everything you would want and need from a guide. If you are into birdwatching or wildlife, he is your man! And he knows a lot about Uganda, so you can ask him all sorts of things. Our trip was unforgettable thanks to Emmy and Sander.
I would wholeheartedly recommend Grassrootz and Emmy!

Magical, Unparalleled Honeymoon with Lion King
We visited Tanzania for our honeymoon and had an all-around wonderful experience with Lion King Adventures. The company truly puts its clients first! We were extremely taken care of as every detail was well organized and executed. We had a custom 15-day itinerary (Kilimanjaro, Tarangire/Ngorongoro, and Northern Serengeti) during which the company accommodated all our wants as well as provided excellent service beyond our expectations.
We selected Lion King for its direct, local communication (i.e., no agents); customizable and seamless tours; and combination of reputation and price. It was one of only a few companies that offered a private Kilimanjaro trek, private overland safaris in Tarangire and Ngorongoro, and private fly-in safaris in Northern Serengeti (i.e., not shared with other lodge guests). A company representative was with us every step of the way including airport pick-ups and drop-offs.
Pendo addressed our questions and concerns promptly to fine tune our custom itinerary. She advised us on the best options according to our interests. She even scheduled our COVID tests in the Serengeti and delivered printed results to the airport prior to our return flight.
Our Kilimanjaro guide, Saladini, was experienced and caring. He supported us to the summit and coached his team to provide the best service to us. The company provided more than enough snacks to us and amply fed its porters.
We explored Tarangire and Ngorongoro with Oswald (Ozzy). He was very friendly and passionate about wildlife. He asked about our safari interests each day, spotted animals from afar, and shared his extensive knowledge.
We explored Northern Serengeti with Mwita, who grew up nearby. He was enthusiastic about the animals in and the history of the region. His energy and persistence were contagious as he led us to witness three wildebeest river crossings and complete seeing the Big Five.
We wholeheartedly appreciate the amazing Lion King teammates whom we had the pleasure to meet. We highly recommend Lion King Adventures! We can't wait to return to Tanzania and travel with them again.

A lifetime adventure in the Pearl of Africa!
Travelling through Uganda with Grassrootz was a lifetime adventure!
We enjoyed the most amazing wildlife in the national parks and got a better understanding of the people in community walks.
The team from Grassrootz (Sander, Anne and our driver Paul) is truly great, responding to every request and suggesting alternatives at every point of the planning and execution of the trip!
We really liked the choice of accomodations - beautiful locations, great service and still in touch with the local community, so you feel less of an outsider. Special thanks to Paul for being part of the team - we enjoyed the open conversations and mutual interest very much!
Uganda has so much to offer, and travelling with Grassrootz is a great way to explore the Pearl of Africa!

Absolutely amazing
We were two people for a budget six days safari in Uganda.
Our experience was wonderful. Good communication, best price offered, and a great car. The guys made their best to reshape the initial proposal based on our preferences, and in the end, the tour went beyond our expectations.
Our driver and guide were driving sporty but definitely safely, and had a deep knowledge of all the places, which allowed us to spot very many animals, including leopards and lions.
Absolutely recommended to those who love exploring alternative routes.
