Fraudulent company stole our money and ruined our holiday.
In March my partner and I paid for and booked a safari with KWSS for 21 days, over July and August.
Things started okay, as we met an amazing driver named Sam, however things didn’t run smoothly.
Upon arrival we went to the KWSS office and a slight change was made. To save on driving times the owner (Otieno Lysaniash) recommended we would spend an extra night in the Masai Mara and not spend any time in Amboselli. It’s also important to know that the accommodation that was being changed was a 4.5star camp to a 2 star camp.
As we set off, Sam was keeping all his receipts and paying with his own money, and always on the phone away from us. When we questioned him he said ‘You shouldn’t have to worry about this’. After our 4 days with the driver, we exchanged numbers and were told a new driver would pick us, Sam was not sure what time, but said be ready at 6am.
We have not heard anything from the KWSS office since meeting them in the office. We tried calling Otieno or his team over 100 times and sent emails to no avail. We were very lucky to have met Sam, as he was in contact with us from 9am, letting us know any updates as he found them. At approximately 7pm Sam was in Nairobi and confirmed with us the Mr Otieno had run away with our money, and the police were at the office.
I feel horrible as it’s very hard to get my money back whilst living in a different country. We are also aware that Sam paid for the first 5 days of our safari out of pocket, and he hasn’t received any money back. We are in contact with Sam, trying to get updates, however he is a very busy man who has a family to feed.
If you were looking for a different company we can recommend Bateluer Eagle Safari’s, as they saved our holiday. Sam sent his brother to come and pick us up, who drove us around for 2 days to the police in Nairobi. The owners also went above and beyond, spending over 7 hours as we tried to get a payment sorted for a new safari, on last minute notice. Everything with them ran very smoothly and the upfront communication was very much needed, at a time where we had zero trust in anything.
KWSS was run by a thief who stole our money and many others. I just hope he doesn’t use that money to bribe the officials and get off without paying. We need our money back!

Great experience!!!
We used Genesis for our excursions in Kenya. Our driver David was FABULOUS! He took good care of us and even showed us some off the grid gems in and around Nairobi. He drove us to the Kiambethu tea farm and gave us a great mini tour of different parts of Nairobi on our drive to the farm. David also took us to the bead factory, giraffe manor, and the elephant sanctuary. He didn't just drive us to the locations and drop us off, he provided the history and other details behind the places we went and went with us on our tours. He also took us to the Bomas of Kenya which was an exciting experience! As we walked around and looked at replicas of the traditional villages, David explained to us about the the different tribes that occupied each village. Jonathan also did a phenomenal job of communicating with us and keeping us informed on our schedules, pick-ups, and etc. The service and care we received from Genesis was above and beyond what we could of expected! We will be back in Kenya next year and will definitely use Genesis again!

AMAZING BEYOND ALL OUR EXPECTATIONS
We arrive home last week following an 10 days tour with Herbivore African expeditions,Tarangire,Ngorongoro crater and serengeti.It was amazing beyond all our expectations. Our private guide was a Tanzanian local,English speaking, He was excellent great local knowledgeble and organized everything like clockwork.Our accommodation was brilliant, we were treated like royalty, check out Arumeru river lodge in Arusha,Ngorongoro serena lodge,4 season hotel in serengeti was amazing.would highly reccomend this tour and look forwad to another experience with Herbivore African expeditions in the future.

I saw more animals in one week than in the past 60 years of my life visiting US National Parks.
The weather was perfect, not to hot and not to cold with no rain. Wonderful wildlife and so many gorgeous birds.
BestDay Safaris made the trip as comfortable as possible with top notch accommodation, even the overnight stay in a tent in the Serengeti was luxurious, with flush toilets and a 4 poster bed.
Our guide was the best, he accommodated our desire to stop and take a picture of everything we saw. He could spot wildlife while he was driving that we had a problem spotting with binoculars. His knowledge was encyclopedic of both the wildlife and the culture.
I would thoroughly recommend BestDay Safaris to anyone wanting to have an amazing experience in Tanzania.

Tanzania unforgettable experiences
What a fantastic memory we had with Emperor Adventure and safaris. Faraj was very kind, humble and responsive on time to our emails, giving us all the information and details we needed in every particular time. Mr Terence, an excellent and well communicated guide friendly and very knowledgeable about wildlife accompanied with us. We never disappointed traveling with him spotted a lot of animals especially the big five on the first day of the safari. We real cherish the team for creating unforgettable moments and memories that will last a lifetime.

Couldn't have asked for a better experience
My boyfriend and I did a 7 day tour with Tazama through Samburu, Lake Nakuru, and Masai Mara. It was the perfect way to see every animal on our list and see a diversity of ecosystems. Antony was so prompt and professional with booking everything. Steven, our guide, was sooo respectful of park rules and the animals, which was really important to us. He was smart, funny, flexible, and made sure the trip went as smoothly as possible (we didn't have any hiccups)! The lodges we stayed at were some of the nicest we've ever been to. It was a perfect trip and we can't thank Tazama, Antony, or Steven enough!

Perfect holiday
We had a perfect holiday thanks to Natural World Kenya Safari. They could not have been more helpful from start to finish. Esther, our contact kept us updated on our holiday and answered our many questions very quickly and honestly. The service provided far exceed our expectations. The safari was more of an adventure than a holiday. We stayed in the Karen Blixen Camp which is the perfect base for a safari, in the Mara North. We saw every animal on anyone's list. Elephants, lions, giraffes, leopards, cheetahs, hippos, wildebeest, etc. We would definitely use Natural World Kenya Safari again and would highly recommend them for anyone wanting a brilliant experience at a very reasonable price.

Amazing honeymoon trip
Thank you so much for creating this trip for us, we have booked a luxury trip in a last-minute however they succeed to build a customised fantastic trip for us with luxury hotels (that gave us small surprises for our honeymoon), great good and that fit exactly to our schedule. James was our guild, and driver he made the extra mile and always was trying to get us not only to see the animals but also he was parking in a way so we would have the best photos.

Enrico's tour was a nightmare, he took all our money and STOPPED PAYING for our accomodions and meals after day 3. He left us alone with the driver and no tour guide. WE HAD TO PAY FOR OUR OWN ACCOMODATION FOR TWO NIGHTS, AS WELL AS ALL THE MEALS AND ACTIVITIES WHICH SHOULD HAVE BEEN INCLUDED. He simply booked everything, and we were forced to pay out of pocket if we wanted a bed for the night. When we called Enrico, he was never reachable and when he did respond, he repeatedly lied to us. He even said he would give us our money back upon return to Windhoek, which never happened. The driver stopped multiple times because Enrico did not send the payment for the gas, which kept us waiting for hours. Please stay away from Enrico's tours.
