A dream came true
I did the trip in March 2020 together with my son and a friend and her son. There were no other people on the group. Fatuma was excellent organizing everything in advance. All emails were answered within 24 hours and everything was organized very well. One day before we started they came to the hotel to talk about the tour and the plans in detail. Our driver Emanuelle was always in a good mood, always in touch with other drivers so we did not miss one lion and an excellent driver. He speaks very well English, so communication was very easy. I think we were also lucky with our cook Pasco. We were always served a three course dinner and a delicious breakfast with fresh fruit, pancake and drinks. Lunch was sometimes a pick nick and sometimes served in the camp. His fried bananas are the best I have ever tried!!!!
We slept in tents with camp beds which are more comfortable then I expected :-)
After all we had a five days safari me and my son will never forget. Thanks to Claws of Africa!

Best Safari I have been on!
I don't usually leave reviews, actually this is my first but my girlfriend and I just went on the Suricata 5-Day Mid Range Group Tour and it was amazing. I have been on other safaris in Tanzania, and to many of the same parks, Suricata was my favorite. From the beginning Hilary responded to my inquiry quickly and was very helpful insuring our safari was everything we wanted. The safari included airport pickup and drop off and hotel stay in Arusha the night before and after the safari. Hilary met us at the hotel prior to the safari to explain everything and answer any questions we had. The Safari itself was great. Our guide Ezekiel was everything you could ask for; he has a genuine love of animals and a serious knowledge to compliment it. At multiple times he was able to use that knowledge to situate us in the perfect position to have a group of male lions walk directly by our car or watch a leopard climb out of a tree. His extensive knowledge was also very useful when an aggressive male elephant wanted to tip our vehicle. Ezekiel also was skilled at all sorts of problem solving that ensured our safari was smooth and enjoyable, plus his friendly and lively personality were irreplaceable. The accommodation was excellent, staying in either private rooms at a lodge or private semi-permanent tents at tented lodges. Suricata cooks delicious local meals and provides everything needed for the perfect safari. As for animals, we saw it all, and lots of it, you know it is a good safari when at the end of it you are not excited about seeing most of the animals because you have see them so much. I would highly recommend any safari you are interested in with Suricata. Great experience beginning to end.

African Overland is a great company. We were impressed right from the start of planning the safari. Our inquiries were handled promptly and this really impressed us. We have nothing but high praise for African overland. All their staff handled us graciously and with a lot of expertise. We were happy with our guide who was extremely knowledgeable. He took us to 3 parks and also gave cultural tour of Lake Eyasi. We can say again and again that we were given the best guide possible during our tour. Going on safari had been our dream for a long time, and we are happy African Overland fulfilled our long time wish.
Our stay included both mid-range and high end accommodation. Lake Burunge and Tanzania Bush Camps were our favourite. All in all, we can proudly say we had a high class safari at very affordable price. African Overland is indeed quality oriented and are experts at what they do – which is delivering epic Authentic African Safari. Amazing!
I can not talk highly enough about our experience. It was amazing. We choose a private 4X4 LandCruser safari. I would never do it any other way. It was not that much more and was an excellent experience. We had an outstanding guide and the accommodations at the SOPA lodges were perfect. We will never forgoer the experience of seeing the African wide-life up close and personal. It was not a vacation or a trip. It was a life changing experience. Thank you to Mufasa tours for a truly amazing experience.

loved it
I loved our safari trip at selous game reserve a lot! the food and accomodation were very good and halal, which was important for us. Furthermore, we loved our guide! We did not like the bush walk and the village tour..

The safari easily met my expectations of glamping , beauty and wildlife abundance.The wildlife sigh.
The wildlife sightings were unbelievable, up close and breathtaking. Even though it rained extensively all 3 nights it did not deter or dampen our morning and afternoon game drives. The glamping experience was exceptional especially for our grandsons. The buffet style food was plentiful and very tasty for all meals. The mode of transportation in an 8 seat land cruiser was definitely a bonus with the wet muddy trail conditions. Without it we would have been stuck and denied certain trails to explore. Our guide was very knowledgeable and vigilant. How he could spot, see and point out animals and their habits was incredible. He made every effort for us to see as many of the big 5 close up as possible.

Interesting but tedious. However the staff at Victoria falls and Hwange national park were exception
The wild life and scenery are average. The accomodation at Hwange was superb and rustic . The cook and staff at Hwange looked after us very well. We were lucky to have Liberty as our guide as he was kind and knowledgeable.
We particularly enjoyed the lunch in the bush where the table was laid out to celebrate my friend's birthday.

It was all about the cats this time!
Masai Mara is a beautiful area and we thouroughly enjoyed our time there. Our guide Joseph knew what he was doing and gave us a really excellent wildlife experience. We saw lots of all the big cats, 4 of the Big 5, beautiful nature, and had a lot of fun.
Seeing the young leopard was as exciting as seeing the big leopard carrying his/her remainderof kill of the previous day down from the tree.
Joseph was calm and knowledgeable, his driving skills were excellent and we always felt safe. He did get stuck in the mud once, but managed to get us out.
The breakfast picnic was another amazing experience.
Our stay at the Zebra Plains was lovely. Excellent food and the location is just amazing.
