We saw the big 5 and more! Amazing once in a lifetime experience, a must do tour! Unforgettable!
5/5

Wow what an experience with goldfish tours! I am now back in England after a 10 day trip to Tanzania in March 2022. I did 6 days in Zanzibar and then organised a last minute tour with goldfish tours for 4 days.
We did the 4 day, 3 night tour covering tarangire, the Serengeti and ngorogoro crater.
We saw the big 5 and much more with so many priceless memories and photos from our trip

As someone who has travelled around the world and done many tours this has instantly become the best tour and decision I ever made.
I have seen the salt flats in Bolivia, trekked machu pichu in Peru, seen ha long bay in Vietnam, visited lions head in South Africa but nothing compares to the Serengeti. It is a must see destination. I had done small safari in Sri Lanka and South Africa but this was sooo much better in every way

We was hesitant at first to book it as we was having a great time in Zanzibar but once we started the tour I had no regrets. It’s very good value for money as it includes 3 meals a day, all accommodation and entrance prices. Plus 2 guides , Mohammed and Steven

Mohammed and Steven run the company. They set it up 5 years ago. With this tour you get two tour guides, both with great experience and knowledge. They are young, kind and want to do everything to make sure you have a great time.

They picked us up from Arusha at 8.30am and the adventure started straight away. We headed to Tarangire and instantly saw elephants , giraffe , zebra and 2 cheetahs. We then headed to Karatu for a nights sleep.

Up early and heading towards the Serengeti we stopped at Ngorogoro rim for a quick view. The drive was amazing with an en route game seeing thousands of zebra and wildebeest on route.

As we entered the Serengeti we saw female and male lions, hyena, thousands of zebra, hundreds of giraffe and a few hippos.

We then did an evening sunset drive
We stayed at Shuhudia tented lodge and had a very large luxury tent right in the centre of the Serengeti. There was hot water and an excellent dinner. The tent was bigger than any hotel room I’ve stayed in , maybe 500 square foot.

Day 3- we did a 7am to 1pm 6hr game drive in the Serengeti seeing lots of variety of animals. We then had lunch and Steven headed out for another 2.5 hour evening drive around sunset. This was above what we expected and Steven managed to find us 3 different leopards.
The car comes with binoculars for everyone
We then had dinner and went to sleep early ready for our last day

Day 4 was our last day. 5am start to watch sunrise whilst heading from the Serengeti to ngorogoro crater. The early start paid off as we saw hippos outside of their mud pools, hyena running through the Serengeti and then a whole family of cheetah just 2 metres from our car.
The sunrise was stunning and the cheetahs were the highlight of the whole tour.

We reached ngorogoro crater on the hunt for the rhino. We was lucky enough to see 8 rhino during our drive and another male lion. We had lunch by the hippo lake pool with zebra just 10’metres from our car. We then made the long drive to kilmanjaro for our evening flight out.

The 4 day experience was amazing, the best tour I’ve ever done. Mohammed and Steven went above and beyond our expectations to provide us a memorable once in a lifetime experience.

We saw the big 5 and more
In total we saw 10 lions
3 leopards
50+ elephants
100+ water buffalo
8 rhino
7 cheetah
50+ hippos
5 crocodile
50+ giraffe
5 eagles
10,000+ zebras
10,000+ wildebeest

The car was comfortable, we had plugs and usb chargers to charge our phones and cameras, we had a fridge to keep our drinks cool
They had a speaker system to play music or you could play your own.

Steven would stop at any moment if we saw something we wanted to watch or take a photo off.

This tour is a must do, our only regret was not having an extra day to see even more of the crater.
Ngorogoro crater is amazing, reported as the 7th wonder of the natural world.

An experience of a lifetime with a company that truly cares about its guests, guides, and parks
5/5

My wife and I did a 9 day/8 night premium luxury safari with Lion King Adventures and it was incredible. Lion King was excellent with communication from the beginning which made me feel comfortable booking such a large trip. Pendo was quick to respond in a timely manner to emails and always answered questions honestly and transparently. They were flexible and helped us plan an itinerary that fit our needs. I believe they underpromised and significantly overdelivered as the safari experience vastly exceeded anything I could have imagined. This was an experience of a lifetime.

All of lodges we stayed at were beautiful with incredible meals. I have no idea how they are able to provide the level of service they do in the middle of these national parks. All staff were attentive and welcoming. Additionally, Lion King coordinated with all of the lodges so while other guests had boxed lunches during game drives, we had a full picnic lunch with real food, drinks, silverware etc. Our guide was Abu who also has an interest in wildlife photography. By the end of the trip, it felt like Abu was our friend rather our guide on a shared adventure. He is passionate about his career as a guide and genuinely excited to track the animals. He was very kind to us and made sure we had a great experience. We of course saw all members of the "big five" but also lots of other interesting animals and birds which was great. Abu really likes birds and pointed out lots of hawks, eagles, buzzards, and small birds (lilac breasted roller) throughout the trip. Additionally, while other guides were quick to rush guests to the next sighting, Abu was patient and it paid off. We saw a whole pride of lions try to catch two warthogs, a cheetah make its kill (baby gazelle), and tracked an enormous elephant which was 1km away. Abu knew exactly where the elephant would walk based on his skin being dry through his binoculars and where water was located. He positioned the jeep so 15 minutes later the elephant walked right by our jeep (and also felt comfortable since we patiently waited instead of chasing an animal). Abu was also respectful of the national parks and wildlife. He would bring us close to animals, but never so close that it was disturbing the animals or inhibiting their natural behaviors. This was important to us and in stark contrast to other guides we witnessed.

Lion King treats its guides very well as do they lodges they partner with. We really appreciated this. A the end of the safari, the owner James met us at the airport with a pen and notebook to get constructive feedback. He really pushed us to give feedback but we really couldn't not think of any areas of improvement as the safari exceeded all of our expectations and went without a hitch.

My wife and I are so thankful we booked with Lion King, this was truly the experience of a lifetime.

Perfect what they do
5/5

As they are smaller company, all is much more personal. I got quick answers to all my questions and double checking, they helped booking the flights etc. Our guide and driver Chedi was excellent in finding animals and telling enough and not too much info, so that even our children did not get board from 5 day safari. Our cook Sule made excellent food that even our teenagers ate.

Fantastic

We had so much fun in this trip ! We were able to see the chimpanzees and the gorillas. It was an unforgettable experience. Amos and Joseph were incredible, they show us multiple parks and the culture of Uganda, we had so much fun, they really make you feel in family. Amos was very knowledgeable about the parks and animals, he was able to solve all our questions in addition of taking stunning pictures. The places we stayed were amazing, service was incredible, everything was very safe and clean.

We spent 7 days but it was not enough time. We went to Murchison Falls National Park, Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, Kibale National Park, and Queen Elizabeth. The experience with the chimps and the gorillas is a MUST, we never thought that we will be having them so close and it was incredible. Thank you so much for this experience!

Overall very friendly, organized and knowledgable.
4/5

We had a great trip and would recommend, our only complaint was the lack of knowledge around covid testing. This resulted instead of our last day being relaxing starting with a tour of the lake where we stayed and heading back to the city in the evening for a 11:30PM flight, we were told we would have to leave at 6AM (which we are not to drive back because the only covid test option was there and needed 6 hours. When we got to Entebbe we found the test not only costs us $175 USD we had to pay in cash but the results would only take two hours. The driver had no activities for us that day so we were stuck at a bar for 6+ hours before a 20+ hour travel home. I was under the impression from the trip organizer that we would be getting our covid test at one of the lodges so instead of ending a trip on a good note, we spent the last day frustrated on what we missed.

The trip was great - you spend a lot of time in the car so be prepared, but the wildlife is incredible.

Tailored experience for our Honeymoon
5/5

From the very first contact with Wayfairer we felt we were carefully listened to and the trip was designed to meet our unique needs / wishes. With the pandemic, we had to change our dates in 2 occasions and the team was always there to help and provide guidance on what dates could be the best to experience a Safari.

In the field, it was the team of Basecamp Explorer who took care of us and the experience with them was very good as well. Special mention to Bony who was our guide in Lake Nakuru and made everything to please us during our stay there.

a welcome, listening, availability and responsiveness, a wealth of information about the country
5/5

I very much appreciated the program of my trip to Uganda, a program concocted by Dom Owor, according to my wishes.
Thanks to the quality of his answers, I discovered a country worthy of a longer stay, saw the many parks in the four corners of the country, the so benevolent inhabitants, and the cities full of surprises;
I appreciated the accompaniment of the French-speaking guide, moreover an excellent driver on all types of roads;
who was able to inform me of the different facets of his country, and make me discover the capital Kampala;

Highly recommended!
5/5

A really great experience with soo much fun! We saw the Big Five and it was awesome! Our guide really knew everythin well and the car never got stuck. Also the food was great and delicious made by our own chef. Cool and fresh water was always available and even PCR tets in the middle of the Serengeti were made possible. The service was always extraordinary. We also got a free ride to the Cultural Heritage of Arusha and Bryson responded very quick on WhatsApp and provided us with the right information. We felt in good hands and can just recommend this trip. Especially when you are traveling on a budget and are not afraid of new cultures we recommend it. Thanks a lot for this opportunity!
