Fantastic agency, experience of a lifetime
5/5

I spent a week in the Maasai Mara and had the trip of a lifetime. Corinna and Mpairo offer the perfect balance of true, unadultered Maasai life and a few western amenities that make life a little easier. The entire family is warm and welcoming, I felt truly immersed in the culture and their life and got to witness things you can't usually experience - for instance, visiting the medicine man and trying to figure out the proper Maasai greeting for the entire week, with plenty of help from everyone. I highly, highly recommend booking the Maasai Village Homestay for this - the only way you will eat true a true Maasai BBQ, spend the night in a traditional house (although one modified for comfort - there's good coffee, and they have electricity, you can charge your electronics!) and hang out with Mpairo's adoreable nieces and nephews.

Our game drive was one of the best days of my whole three-month-journey across Africa. Mpairo grew up there and it really shows, he seems to know where there will be lions long before any of the other guides. Also worth noting, his English is very good and both he and Corinna are very knowledgeable when it comes to the wildlife, they could answer every question I had. I didn't get to see all of the big five (although Mpairo truly didn't want to give up the search, the man is determined to show you the absolute best time you could possibly have), but that's just how it is sometimes and it didn't lessen the experience in the slightest.

They also showed me around the other villages, introduced me to a lot of other people, and showed me the way to get a cold beer. Mpairo also seems to know everyone everywhere, can solve any problem in minutes, and makes sure you will never get ripped off no matter where you buy something, and Namayiana themselves and the family never ask for any additional donations or money that wasn't agreed upon, and don't pressure you into buying anything anywhere - from what I hear this is not always the case and I felt very safe with them. Additionally, Mpairo, Corinna, Mpairo's brother, uncle, the women and kids are just genuinely very nice people who are excited to share their culture with you.

Communication beforehand while booking was easy and prompt, and they send me on my way with plenty of very helpful tips for the rest of my trip. All in all, I loved my time with them and hope I can go back sometime! Next time I wanna do a balloon ride, too!

Thank you, Corinna and Mpairo, and say hi to everyone!

Like a smart friend planning your holiday
5/5

I am so so glad to discovered wild wings safari. The choices of safari, places to stay and how to get from A to B can be overwhelming. Unlike going to a big city in Europe where you can figure most things out yourself and plan your trip yourself, Africa is a whole different scenario. Without assistance and not being aware of what you are getting yourself into could have been catastrophic.

I worked with Michael Milan and he was great. He very much understood what I wanted to do and had a very good idea of what I would like for my budget. He was flexible in figuring out changes to my itinerary. Most of all, he is aware of places that he believed I would like and he was spot on. The safari lodge that he picked for me, I simply can't imagine another place that was better for me. He helped me figure out all the logistics of getting from one location to another balancing speed and budget.

I normally do not rely on tour operators but I knew this was the prudent thing to do for this Safari. Michael provided me with lots of useful information that I hadn't thought of or things that would have taken me a while to figure out. I consider myself very experienced in traveling and found his info invaluable. Communication was frequent, timely and thorough both before and after the trip.

I look forward to working with them again on my next safari. I am now hooked.

Very nice and caring.
5/5

The booking was very easy. Outside of peak season it's very easy to get a Safari on short notice.
At least around Nairobi you get picked up wherever you are staying (can't tell about other places bc I don't know).
Our driver was very nice. Even on the crazy streets of Kenya we never felt unsafe. He could answer almost any question we had and when on game drive, he would always stop when we asked him. Also, he will teach you some Swahili/Kikuyu/Maasai if you want to.
The Lodges were quite good. The staff there is very friendly. The food sadly is very westernized mostly but it's still good. The only thing about accommodation that wasn't that good was the Hill Resort in Nakuru. But still, it was very acceptable.

Walter from Safari Online was absolutely brilliant in helping arrange our dream Botswana trip.
5/5

At the start of our Botswana trip planning I was totally confused and overwhelmed with the choices of places to visit and accommodations on offer. Over a few weeks, Walter guided us through the decision making process with incredible efficiency, patience and adeptness. His responses from afar ( we live in Australia) were always prompt, polite and very helpful. We eventually were able to organise an itinerary which fulfilled our every need and wildest dreams. We couldn't have asked for a better Botswana experience.
We visited Chobe, Savute and the Okavango Delta and we so pleased with Walter's suggestion to visit these three diverse and amazing places in Botswana. They were all different but thrilling in their own way. The amount of wildlife we saw in each place was just mind blowing.
The organisation of the trip by Walter was seamless.

Excellent service all the way
5/5

Shemeji Safari did a fantastic job arranging a safari for me and my family.

Rigth from the beginning the communications on email was outstanding. I ordered a quote on a safari (3 day trip) and they understood my needs right away. They suggested alternatives and it was easy to talk details and get the planning finalized.

We were picked up in Kilimanjaro Airport as planned and on time. We had a night in Arusha before going on safari in Serengeti and Ngorongoro. All the way we stayed at nice hotels (Serena Lodges), and they were even better than I had imagined. The view over Ngorongoro from over room was spectacular and so was staying in the middle of Serengeti in our own big bungalow.

Our safari driver, Edward, was very professional, considerate and nice to be around. We travelled with our 4 year old and he was very good at driving slowly giving her time to see everything. His knowledge about the wildlife was impressing and he could answer all our questions about aminals ets. We saw all the interesting animals on our trip - a lot of lions - and even rhinos from a distance in Ngorongoro.

All in all we feel that we have gotten a superb product and service from Shemeji - and for a really reasonable price. We feel we got excellent value for our money.

If you are looking for a place to buy your safari in Tanzania - don't hesitate to use Shemeji. They have my warmest recommendations.

Best Affordable Group Safari Ever!!!
5/5

My husband and I wanted to go on a safari (which as you know can be very expensive). We started to get discouraged at prices until we came across Royal tiger tours. They have safaris for all budgets and we found several safaris that they offered that were well under our max spending limit. We enjoyed this safari so much we even documented our entire experience and posted a video on YouTube (YouTube Channel: Inspired by R&R) (video posted on 5/31/2019) We got to meet people from all different parts of the world. I highly recommend using Royal tiger tours and safaris!

Our guide Omary was very friendly and knowledgable.
Prior to trip, and even during the trip, the owner Mr Rweza, answered our emails promptly.
The lodge accommodations were clean and the lodge staff were very accommodating.
Overall it was an excellent experience.

Our expectations for the mobile safari and Walking Stick Travel & Tours were fully met
5/5

After several stays in South Africa and Botswana over the past few years, some of which were in private reserves, we deliberately opted for a mobile safari for the first time. Of course you can not compare the comfort of the two different types of safari, etc.
Our experiences so far related to both walking and travel safaris in the mentioned countries.

For our mobile safari we chose Walking Stick Travel & Tours with the owner Phillimon Kamogelo. I can say right away: we did not regret this choice.
The contact with Phil was very easy and reliable. My questions always came with quick and clear answers.

We had agreed to meet before the start of the actual safari. Phil was punctually at the agreed meeting point and had also brought along Joe, who has taken care of the physical well in the coming days.

Two days later, the two then picked us up as agreed in turn more than on time in our lodge in Maun.
It was first on a foot safari in the Okavando Delta. As agreed in advance with Phil we met at the dock our Poler Galaxy with which we were repeatedly in the delta. The joy was great to have him again as leader on our long foot safaris. Thanks Phil for making that possible.
Joe and Galaxy should accompany us. Our squad for the two days in the Delta completed Kenny and Crack (maybe you write differently). We had a lot of fun and joy with our companions.
Two days later back at Mokora Station we met Phil again. The open safari vehicle was loaded and, together with Phil, Joe and photos, it started for three days in the Moremi and two days in the Kwai.
The night took place in a spacious tent with attached private bath. On the open fire, Joe conjured incredible meals. Phil, Photos and Joe have always been very dedicated so we really enjoyed the time with the three nice guys.
The safari trips with Phil were also outstanding. You can tell from his long experience. Phil really goes out of his way to show his guests something special. Of course it also always needs the necessary luck.

Moremi itself is interesting. It is a pity that it is not really allowed to drive off-road.
In the Kwai, which we also liked, this is allowed. However, there is also the density of safari vehicles very high so that one is rarely alone in the difficult to find animals. Without a radio connection to other vehicles, we would not have seen one or the other. But these are all points that have nothing to do with Walking Travel & Tours and the quality of the company.

Our experience with Phillimon and his entire team was excellent. All employees of his appointment were always courteous, friendly and extremely motivated. We felt very comfortable during the whole time.

The decision to do a mobile safari for the entire week was the right one. As mentioned, neither the accommodation nor the game drives can be combined with the possibilities of private reserves, e.g. in the Kruger Park in South Africa.
But we were aware of that and the more we were surprised by the whole process, the excellent food and that there was nothing missing. Phil is, as already said, a very accomplished "guide" whom we were very happy to entrust ourselves.
My wife and I can warmly recommend the company and the entire team behind it. We both hope to see every single one of the team again. Thanks again for everything.

Good luck and success, dear Phil to you and the others.

Claudia and Harald

Home far from Home with ACZsafaris
5/5

We were a group of 4 traveling for the first time in Africa, John and his team welcomed us right from the airport and made us feel at home far from home. Our first adventure started at The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust right from the airport, here we had a chance to interact with the orphaned elephants calves. We learnt alot about conservation here. We also visited Giraffe center where we kissed and fed the Roth'schild giraffes. Later we were entertained at Bomas of Kenya where we learnt alot about Kenyan culture through traditional dances.

The next day we started our main safari for 12day which show us visit Olpejeta, Lake Nakuru, Lake Bogoria, Masai Mara, Lake Naivasha, Amboseli and finally Mombasa. We were luck enough to see all the big five; Lions, Elephants, Leopards, Rhinos and Buffaloes among a variety of wildlife including birdlife. All our hotels were nice and with great service. I thank ACZsafaris for making this a lifetime experience and for all efforts they put to arrange a flawless holiday. Keep it up!
