Hike and safari Experience
5/5

We used Zepisa African Safaris for Kilimanjaro hike on the Machame route as well as for Serengeti safari. Zepisa exceeded our expectations with the amount of care and diligence shown towards us. Nyemo was very responsible and quick with responses to our numerous emails and phone calls for months before we started our journey. Our hike leader, Dickson, and his team , made sure we were comfortable and well fed throughout our 7 day hike and ensured all 12 of us in our group successfully and safely summited Mt.Kilimanjaro.
During our 4 day safari to Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater and Tarangere National Park, our Safari guides, Michael played gracious hosts and patiently drove us around to see all the animals in the parks. We highly recommend Zepisa African Safaris to anyone who is considering to hike or want to do a Safari in Tanzania.

My favorite memories
5/5

just finished a 5-day safari with Gorilla Bookings and it was one of the most enjoyable and rewarding experiences of my life. During our safari, Gorilla Bookings perfectly scheduled our lodging, gorillas permits, gorilla trek, game reserve drive, river channel ride, and chimp trek. We never experienced any delay during our entire trip and every activity was organized efficiently. Our safari picked us up from Kigali, Rwanda and transferred us to Biwindi Impenetrable Forest, Queen Elizabeth National Park, and Lake Bunyoni (all in Uganda). We were able to observe hippos, gorillas, chimps, buffalos, elephants, zebras, cobs, birds, lions, and so much more. The memories I made on this safari with Gorilla Bookings are memories I will never forget!

However, what made this safari truly spectacular was our guide Ben. Ben is one of the nicest humans I have ever met. He was super friendly, accompanying, a great driver, and just all around amazing (he speaks 26 languages!). After the end of our trip Ben felt more like family then a guide. We will miss Ben!

Short story, if you are looking for a safari company to book your dream trip - pick Gorilla Bookings!!!

Barafu made all our dreams come true
5/5

We used Barafu tours and safari for both our climb of Mount Kilimanjaro and our Serengeti Safari. There were 5 of us from our group of 12 that went on the safari after the climb! We went with the luxurious safari and we were so happy we splurged. The lodges were truly amazing. Each and everyone of the lodges were unique and the views were breathtaking. The lodges we stayed at were:
1. Kitela Lodge
2. Katikati tented Lodge
3. Kubukubu lodge
4. KuduLodge
Our driver Chris was great. He catered to all our needs and request! He was very knowledgeable about the Serengeti and the wildlife. The Serengeti is a well-preserved home to abundant wildlife. It is the must-see park in Tanzania. People should find 4 out of the African Big 5 here, except for rhinos. We saw numerous lions, 2 leopards, 3 cheetahs and several kinds of antelopes like animals along with elephants and giraffes. Zebras and wildebeests were all over the plain. There was also a couple of big pools to enjoy hippos galore. Though it might get dusty as we drove throught the park, the endless plain and the fast-changing movements of clouds gave us so much awe. We really enjoy its idyllic setting for both wildlife and landscape photography. The Serengeti has so much to offer. I highly recommend using Barafu Tours and Safari to make all your dreams come true!

Personal attention. High quality. Amazing value. Eager to please customers.
5/5

Fantastic company and staff. I booked 7-day budget camping safari and 3 days of individual custom tours. OUTSTANDING EXPERIENCE in all regards. EXCELLENT VALUE. Personal, caring, and fast attention from booking, picking you at the airport upon arrival, all the way to taking you to the airport the last day. First day owner came to hotel to introduce himself and explain my booking. He even invited me lunch in local restaurant! First night and last night in Hotel Venice in Arusha were excellent. 7-day budget safari camping was an INCREDIBLE EXPERIENCE. Our chef’s food was fantastic every day. Frank our driver/guide knew the best time and place to be to see the best of everything AWESOME. He provided an amazing amount of information on plants, animals, and culture. Got great photos of the Big Five and much more. Tents were sturdy and in great condition. Campsites were basic, clean, and in great condition. 3 individual custom days were outstanding: Kilimanjaro Mandara Huts hike; Maasai village visit; Hot spring visit. Every day I had a driver and a knowledgeable local guide. For example, local Maasai villager that took me around village, explain customs and local knowledge, and took me to the local market. These Foot Slopes staff are knowledgeable, motivated, and ready to do what it takes to please their customers. Trust them and enjoy!

This tour operator is excellent and pays careful attention to detail.
5/5

We can’t thank you enough for organizing and executing a fantastic African adventure.

The accommodations were first rate, the transfers were seamless and we didn’t experience a bad meal, our entire journey.

We saw more wildlife than we could have hoped for and had some unique experiences.
We watched a leopard in a tree, fifteen feet away, with it’s fresh kill.
The men loved that experience of course.

Our guides were personable and informative and shared many wildlife facts, as well as interesting facts about the country, culture, people etc.

A special mention should go out to Wienand Peens, from the Motswari Reserve.
He was extremely knowledgeable and went out of his way to ensure our experience was a memorable one.

We thoroughly enjoyed our River cruise, in Chobe.

The River Cruise in Victoria Falls was extremely well done.
The complimentary appetizers and beverages, were a nice touch.

Our transfer drivers were all extremely personable, informative, courteous and timely.

Our self drive was a great adventure, that I would strongly recommend to other travellers.

Our B&B’s along the way, were outstanding.

We travelled through Swaziland and stopped at many interesting towns, on our way to Cape Town.

It was interesting to drive through the many towns and see first hand, how the residents moved through their daily activities.

Unfortunately, there was a great deal of poverty, which was difficult to see, however, despite their struggles, the people we had the opportunity to interact with, could not have been more pleasant and accommodating.

Overall, we were thrilled with every aspect of our African experience and could not have expected a more unique experience.

We thank you sincerely, for your careful attention to every detail and ensuring that we were in good hands, during every aspect of our trip.

You gave us an unforgettable experience, while keeping within the restraints of our proposed budget.

We would definitely recommend and promote you, and Wild Wings, to anyone and everyone that we encounter, interested in enjoying the experience of a lifetime.

Once again, thank you from the bottom of our hearts, for making a lifelong dream, a beautiful, unforgettable experience.

Sincerest regards,
Lisa Altamuro

A beautiful national park with huge numbers of amazing wildlife to see
Overall rating
5/5

During our stay, the most striking thing was the sheer numbers of animals in Chobe national park. We saw herds of elephants, giraffes, and buffalo among many other animals and saw 4 out of 5 of the Big 5. The river setting really made Chobe stand out and allowed for the viewing of animals in a different environment to many other safari locations.
We stayed at Chobe Marina Lodge which is a beautiful collection of lodges, right on the river. The food, accommodation and staff were all great as was seeing wild warthogs wandering past our accommodation.
Everything was taken care of by the attentive staff and we had the choice of river cruise safaris or truck safaris (we did both). One particular highlight has to be seeing the sun setting over the river from our boat.

From the moment we booked communication was first class the information and advice we were given was so helpful. The safari tour itself was amazing, the accommodation and staff at Pangolin lodge was the best the food and the service could not have been better and was great value for money. Ursula’s cottage was awesome, once again the food and service was first rate the staff so obliging it was such a relaxing place to stay. Our guide Mortimer from Compass was so helpful and made us feel so relaxed and at home from the moment we arrived. I wouldn’t hesitate to strongly recommend Compass Odyssey to family and friends or anyone for that matter.
