Great place. Harder to spot some animals because of the jungle and bushes in the area but such a cool place to have visited.

I went to central Serengeti and didn’t know that animals were migrating to the south. It should be said when I booked my trip, then I could change destination.

Best safari with Tazama Africa Holidays
My girlfriend and I went for a 7-Days safari through Maasai Mara, Lake Nakuru, Lake Naivasha and Amboseli and it was absolutely excellent. It was our first time to Kenya and we did not know what it would be like but we were fully prepared by Antony the owner(Tazama Africa Holidays)He gave us a wide choice of accommodation we could choose from at each game reserve and helped organise our collection to and from the airport which was very needed!
On the tour, we had our own 4x4 safari Land Cruiser to ourselves with our guide Andrew our guide was knowledgeable about the wildlife, birds and Kenyan culture .
Our highlights were Lake Nakuru to see the wild rhinos up close and Amboseli was incredible to see Mount Kilimanjaro as the backdrop to over a thousand elephants in the swamp. The Maasai Mara was incredible to see so many big cats as well as loads of other exciting wildlife. The whole safari was well planned. Accommodation we stayed and the food was delicious everywhere we went .
I recommend anyone who is planning to do a safari to use Tazama Africa Holidays.

8 day memorable safari
We had a great experience with Tazama Africa Holidays starting from planning process until we left Kenya. We talked with Antony to plan our safari and he provided all the necessary information for us to plan an itinerary to suit our requirements. Antony booked all our preferred camps . We visited 3 parks on our 8-day safari, Amboseli, Lake Nakuru and Massai Mara. Our driver/guide Jack made sure we had a great time in Kenya. He is friendly, helpful, and great with kids. Our kids had a great time thanks to Jack. He made sure we saw all the big 5 l and many more. Also, we were lucky enough to see a leopard hunting and a black rhino in Maasai Mara and it made our safari complete. It was an unforgettable experience for us.
Thank you to Tazama Africa Holidays and in particular Antony the owner and our best safari driver guide Jack.

Final review of our 9 day tour with Big Apes Africa Safaris and I'd be lying if I said there weren't issues. Basically we had a quote from Peter at Big Apes last year and after reviewing the Itinerary and accommodation, we decided to go with Big Apes, and made our final payment in December 2023 for the tour to start in 31 Jan 2024, funds were taken out of my account a couple of days after payment
.
The first issue was the accommodation stated in the Itinerary was way out of date (see below) from day 1. Peter's response to this was "it's in the clients best interest", I'd say lame response as keeping the client informed of any changes would be in our best interest. Talking to staff at the replacement accommodation and Big Apes have been staying there for some time so the list may not have been accurate from the start.

Our Chimp tracking in Kyambura Gorge was changed from Day 6 to the morning of Day 7 resulting in missing out looking for the tree climbing lions in the Ishasha Sector and heading straight to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park as we now didn't have the time. I think the issue here was payment of the Chimp Trekking permits had not been made by Big Apes Safari on time.
Our guide Gerald for the tour was great went out of his way to ensure we saw the "Big 5" and dealt with the issues as best as he could.
The choice to use this company is yours alone, I emailed some to the people leaving positive reviews before and during the tour, but not one person responded to my email....no idea why. Feel free to email me about our tour as I can't comment on anything other than that.
Happy Travels and walk your own path.
