It is not often you meet something that exceeds your wildest expectations, but Kajie sure did.
Back in January 2023 my friend and I started planning to go to Uganda to visit the mountain gorillas of the misty Bwindi mountains. It had been the lifelong dream of my friend and I was not hard to talk into it. We did a lot of research on which company to use and settled on Kajie Safari after seeing what they offered compared to other companies. We got in contact with Ronald and since the first email we got to experience the immense hospitality and professionalism from Ronald and his crew. Every question we had, both big and small, was answered quickly and with great care and interest. That meant we had great faith in Kajie already before stepping onto Ugandan soil.
We arrived to Uganda in late January and there we first met Ronald who fetched us from the airport and was as friendly as we could have imagines. A day later we met our guide for the 10 day trip we settled for. From the get go we were so happy because Martin was the best possible guide we could have hoped for. Calm, great listener, great knowledge, great humour and with great people skills. We were a bit nervous before the trip since going around the country for 10 days with a stranger can be difficult but Martin made us feel so comfortable and after a few days it was as if we were three friends driving around. You could tell he was very senior and well connected making our trip even more exclusive while answering any questions we had about Uganda and it's culture and history. Martin always had our best interest at heart and found solutions and adventures that we didn't even know was on the menu. Kajie definitely delivers that little bit of extra, going above and beyond what we got read about in the pamphlet. We've been so lucky chosing Kajie and having Martin as our guide. All the lodges we stayed at were amazing and some of them had among the greatest of views which could trick you into just wanting to stay there a few more weeks.
We felt completely safe the whole trip and fell in love with the beautiful landscape and the hospitality of the people we met. It is a true testiment to Kajie Safari that I haven't even mentioned yet all the great amimal encounters we had on our trip. We saw everything we could have dreamed of and more. Close encounters with all big five and more. Relaxing evening drives, fun hikes that can be adapted to your level, exciting night drives, wonderfully breezy boat trips and early morning cat tracking. Meeting gorillas, elephants, lions, chimps and leopards. And when I say close I mean staring into the eyes of the most wonderful creatures and seeing their intelligence reflect back. This was an experience beyond all others and I would recommend anyone choosing Kajie for your Uganda adventure and ask for Martin as you guide. I am sure we will be back in the future. THANK YOU!

Fun and knowledgeable, like touring with family!
My husband and I did a 1 week safari with Lucas, and we loved every day! I thought the mid-range accomodations were EXCELLENT, we couldn't have asked for nicer beds, showers, meals or service! At every lunch stop, we were the envy of others groups, as Lucas spread a table cloth, set the table and served hot lunch, with fresh fruit and drinks! He knew every animal.al and bird we asked about. He catered to our specific "must see " wildlife list and our requests if we wanted to leave early or later. He was very attentive and concerned with ensuring we were enjoying the experience. We felt ver safe and at home with Lucas, an amazing young man. I researched many safari companies, looking for a reliable, local one. I highly recommend booking with LucasAfricanAdventures!

Definitely worth
All know that Masai Mara is the gem, no doubt. But I was positively surprised by Tsavo West with almost no tourist, how nice it was. Tsavo East instead was quite crowdy. I liked very much also birding in Naivasha lake, many rhinos in Nakuru and hundreds of elephants in Amboseli. I did 6 national parks and 2 reservations and I still can not get enough. Kenyan national parks are amazing.

Wildlife Overdose!
I spent around two weeks in Zanzibar which was a mistake. The island seems to be the place to go after a game drive / safari on the mainland. I wish I had given it a miss. Zanzibar is dirty, the shop owners in Stonetown just don't leave one alone, they have no prices on anything, you have to haggle ALL the time which is very tiring. There are some lovely handicrafts for sale in the souvenir shops but why oh why are there no prices on anything? It just makes you feel like you're constantly being ripped off.
We hired a car, you have to get a driving permit (?) which costs an extra USD 10, then police are just ready to stop you on the roads and hassle you for your documents, they lie about the speed you're doing in order to get a fine off you. It just doesn't make for a relaxing holiday. The beaches are dirty, I witnessed several hotel beach boys cleaning the hotel area of the beach on a daily basis then just wheeling down the wheelbarrow full of rubbish into the sea!! What's that about? Is there no rubbish collection in Zanzibar? The sandbanks are the same, piles of tourists over for a stopover, some including lunch, so piles of plastic are left behind along with hot charcoal. It's a dump, such a shame because it could be paradise. Zanzibar clean up your act. I definitely wouldn't recommend it to anyone. The only way to swim in clean water is literally to jump off a boat into the open sea, at the snorkelling spots, which is lovely.
As for the mainland, I went on a 3 day safari to the Serengeti and Ngorongoro which was absolutely fantastic, especially the latter. It truly is breathtaking. We saw lions feasting on a gnu, countless zebra, hippos, flamingoes, warthogs, amazing birds, elephants, buffalo, antelope and I've no idea what else. I wish I had gone on a five day safari rather than just three.

Amazing Experience with Tanzania Roadside Expeditions
We went on a six-day honeymoon safari with Tanzania Roadside Expeditions. It could not have been better. We hard that it might be hard to find wildlife in January, but we were constantly surrounded by elephant, giraffes, zebras, and more. We also got within 20 feet of several lions and witnessed an incredible leopard in a tree. We got amazing photos of all of our favorite animals...plus videos of hippos fighting out in the water. It was more exciting than we had ever imagined. Most of the credit goes to our guide, Justin from Tanzania Roadside Expeditions. He was informative and also just a nice, fun guy to get to know. We can't recommend Justin highly enough. It wasn't just his engaging personality but also his friendly relations with other guides who fed him information in real-time on where animals had been spotted. He was an incredible driver, and he also just knew when it was right not to talk or chat and to just bask in the scenery and the animals. The vehicle from Tanzania Roadside Expeditions was also luxurious yet rugged. I loved standing up as we sped across the Serengeti. The hotels were also perfect...just what we needed after an active day bouncing along the roads and taking in all of the sights and sounds. Thank you to Justin and everyone at Tanzania Roadside Expeditions!

We felt the company had corrupt guides, harassed animals. We wouldn't recommend them
My family thought we were going to have a nice safari with this guy Lenny, saw reviews that he must have written himself. We arrived from our home in Paris, no one was there to pick us from airport and it went downhill from there. We feel we were charged too much money, asked for partial refund which we never have received. This guy drives so fast, my daughter got slammed onto the floor one day as he only drove like crazy from one sighting to the next, never asking us what we wanted to do, my poor daughter was covered in bruises and not even an apology. The animals seemed scared of dis guy, never again, we will not do dis company and don't recommend. Has to be more honest people out there for family vacation.

Great value for money and exceptional guide!
Great value for money we had so much fun in the 5 days gorillas and wildlife tracking tour. The gorillas are just magical:) Our guide Noah was the best! So friendly and really went above and beyond to make sure we are happy and even arranged activities not part of the original itinerary just because we mentioned it in a conversation:) really recommend!

Our operator was Friendly, knowledgeable, helpful and punctual I would definitely use him again.
My wife and myself had a day trip booked with N'tee Safaris and tours on the 10 February 2024. Nteedzi was on time as we discussed very friendly and helpful during the trip. We did a morning game drive in the Chobe national park where Meshack was our tour guide. He was very knowledgeable of the park and animals. We had a very nice lunch and Nteedzi was there guiding us through and assisting where needed. In the afternoon we had a boat trip planned which was a lot of fun.
I would definitely use him if I am planning another trip to Chope region.
