Excellence Service
5/5

We had an opportunity to go to safari with Bencia for 8 days , the safari was enjoyable and we are grateful and encourage him to maintain the same service even to others. We had an instant where we had to cancel our flight and come 5 days late and as promised Alfred mad all the arrangement that we don't missed our plan tour as per package. Also to note Ben was a god guide and was able to show us many places including the famous 'Nyama choma' venue where we enjoy the roasted meat with a brown 'ugali'. We are also grateful for Charles and the two ladies in the office who made our work and plan perfect. We can not fail to recommend this firm and for anybody who want to work with trusted company for Kenya safaris.

1 day safari to Pilanesberg National Park
5/5

Booked a 1 day safari from Joburg to Pilanesberg National Park, an excellent experience. Driver who picked me up/dropped me off at my hotel was timely, a safe driver, and provided an interesting commentary during the ride. The safari itself was wonderful, saw lots of animals, the driver/guide was engaging and informative. I'd book again anytime!

Many a time during our seven days on the road that I said “This is worth every cent!” Though not eve
5/5

Though not even a big animal fan, from beginning to end of our 7 days safari I was fascinated, excited, enthralled and said “This is the best money spent!” The Serengeti is a dream and having Gilbert as guide to show us the wonders, we’ll, how lucky we were. He is experienced, accomplished, competent—-you won’t be disappointed!
Alll things considered I highly recommend Earth Life. ^^^^^

PS — FYI, Google indicates a daily guide tip rates which the day before travel Earthlife will suggest as double!
Plan that and your cash accordingly

About: Bemaraha National Park
Not the "walk in the park" that our itinerary had led us to believe!
Overall rating
3/5

The following is from my journal of our time in the Tsingy de Bemaraha National Park:-

Locals, with produce on tables, children playing and several dogs greeted us as we all got out of our vehicles at the meeting point for hikes in the Tsingy de Bemaraha National Park. Wandering around, I noticed that several people were wearing or putting on harnesses with carabiners, my first thought being they were generally younger than us so presumably they were rock climbing… Returning to our vehicle, our guide handed us ours much to my surprise! I was wondering how what had been on our itinerary as a “walking tour of Grand Tsingy” had become one that needed rock climbing equipment!!

It was very hot as we started our hike, first through forest where we spotted (Von der Decken's) sifakas high up in the trees. After a while, the scenery changed as we entered a massive limestone cave where we needed to hook our carabiners onto a metal cable as we edged along a very narrow ridge and then ascended a vertical metal ladder. So far, so good. But, as we continued to climb, often having to heave ourselves up using single foot ledges and becoming more and more aware of these spectacular but jagged limestone formations that we would fall onto if we slipped/our climbing equipment let us down, the fun for me stopped. Perhaps not helped by my heavy camera equipment/backpack, I wasn’t really enjoying the challenge despite the amazing vistas once we got up high.

The descent included crossing the very wobbly suspension bridge, hooked on via the carabiners, and squeezing through low-ceilinged caves.

It was a long walk back to the car but we were rewarded by seeing Giant Couas, large colourful birds, walking amongst the trees. We both felt challenged and exhausted after the climb so declined the chance to do the same in Little Tsingy even though we were assured it was less challenging!!

To put this into context, we had had no sleep the night before (an elder had died in the local village which was 'celebrated' by loud music playing from 9pm till 5am) - and I had caught a stomach bug and, although older, we are both regular sports players so consider ourselves quite fit! So, make of my review as you will but, whatever your circumstances, this is quite a challenging hike!

Local company with great experience
5/5

I climbed Kilamanjaro in June 2013 and everything was well organised from the start to the end. At the beginning i thought I will not make it to the to the top,but because of the great support from the porters and guides I made it eventually without much problems. If you’re looking for a local company and if you want to support local tourism then you’re exactly right here.

From the minute we landed at KIA, through the very last day and drive to the Airport, Mwendo Africa was amazing. From finding the right guides to fit our needs, adjusting to changes in our itinerary without missing a beat.... providing help with issues and questions regarding our stay. All around we had a fantastic experience in Arusha thanks to them.

Pristine Masai Mara
5/5

We had a superb time with our Kenya Safari Tour to Masai Mara recently with amazing game drives and nature at its pristine best. The trip was organized perfectly by Malini and our tour guide was Anthony who was an absolute star with his knowledge, commentary and safe driving throughout the trip. Our 6 year old relived all the Lion King moments in reality and savannah grasslands, landscapes and the animals in their true form was breathtaking. The whole tour was well organized from the moment we landed to Nairobi, hotels, food, shopping and packed with various attractions. The giraffe center visit was wonderful. I would highly recommend the services and planning of this team for a perfect family safari.
