Exciting Friendly Tanzania

I found the people very friendly and helpful, and everything was very well organised. The scenery of course was spectacular and the game parks efficiently run. The weather was perfect for the time of year, however, Kilimanjaro was covered by a lot of cloud so the best view was from the plane. I never felt unsafe as my guide from Dusty Road Travel looked after me very well. I really enjoyed staying in a Lodge and to hear the lion roaring at night and the food and drink was first class. It was a really enjoyable holiday and fully recommended.

My dream come true!

I cannot cover all that is beautiful here - all there is to see and all there is to do. We faced each day with great anticipation and each day was equal to OR BETTER than the one before. The people are so incredibly loving, kind, happy and humbling. Their smiles will forever replay in my mind. The best experience I have had with travel abroad. I dreamed for many years of seeing Africa. My decision to settle on Tanzania was SPOT-ON. Tanzania, you were God’s gift to me! Thank you for this life changing experience.

It was amazing!

It was really amazing, the people are friendly and the tour through the various national parks was a once in a lifetime experience, you cannot convey the magnitude of the experience because words just do not do it justice. The Tarangire National Park and the Ngorongoro Crater was really an awesome experience we saw lots of Wildlife, Mara National Park was not great I would give that a miss next time round. The Serengeti was FANTASTIC....I have never seen so many wild animals together in my entire life and I have been to many national parks. The hot air balloon ride was truly amazing and a must do. We saw the big 5 but there were so many awesome moments like the flamingos and hyenas in the Ngorongoro Crater. Out tour operator Lion King Adventures was really great and catered to our every need, I will use them again.

Exceeded our expectation

We booked with Shemeji Safari a private 6-day tour. It exceeded our expectation. We booked an additional day to Lake Natron, where we we're assigned an experienced private Masaii who took us to a remote waterfall and next morning very close to the flamingos. All was perfectly organized by Lisa. No hidden fees whatsoever. We could pay within Europe by money Transfer, no 3-5% VISA charge. Safari is Safari in Tansania, teeming wildlife, bumpy roads. So be prepared for a challenge in the Landcruiser. The driver/guide called it African massage. Do it private. Pay more but it makes a big difference. No consensus finding in a group, just tell the driver to head for the lodge a bit earlier to relax, he will do and he might also go the extra offroad mile for you in the Wilderness... We paid in the end good tip, more than the recommended 15 to 20 USD per day. Well deserved. For the frugalists: No obligation to tip. But then, why pay for a Safari in the first place...Enjoy, for us it was a lifetime
Read more experience. Add the Hot Air Balloon Trip in the Serengeti at sunrise, gliding over Rhinos... Unforgettable. Lisa booked it for us on short notice and blended it perfectly into our tour. 1200 USD for two. We stayed in lodges of all kind, some more luxurious than others but everywhere good breakfast lunch boxes not so lavish, diner always delicious. Drinks apart from water and tea need to be paid. European prices. Will book again through this company.

Definitely one of the best experiences of my life. Recommending to everyone, best month to go October, we have seen so many animals mating. We have visited Serengeti, Ngorongoro and Tarangire. I came for elephants and they crossed our path multiple times. We have seen all big five animals and many more.

Amazing Experience - would repeat it in a heart beat!

We had a great safari with Salim and the Zamunda Team and would definitely recommend them.

Godfrey our guide was the best part! Thanks to his superb eagle eyes and experience he would spot animals from miles a way and we got to see everything; from elephants to lions, cheetahs and a leopard. He is extremely well informed about all things animals and Tanzanian culture -it was a pleasure listening to his stories.

We had good food every day and really enjoyed all the lodges that Zamunda helped with booking.

Overall a great experience! We would happily repeat the Serengeti multiple times over

We had a great tour company (Serengeti Clarity) and they did a perfect job. There is not a single point to complain. We had a great and unforgetable trip.
I have travelled through more than 150 countries. But Tanzania is in the top 10!

Beautiful country, we were made to feel very welcome

This was our first time on Safari and in Tanzania. From the start, everyone we met was welcoming and happy that we were visiting their country. We had arranged a safari through Safari by Z and had the wonderful Fadhili as our guide/driver. We stayed 8 days and visited Tarangire , Lake Manyara but we were pleased that we left the best to last, Serengeti . On our way back we went to Ngorongora Crater which was amazing. We were so lucky to see so many different animals on our trips (elephants, zebra, cheetah. lions etc etc). The list just goes on & on (hate to think how many 100's of photos we took !) and this was completely down to the knowledge of our guide, Fadhili Our days were filled with meeting friendly local people, beautiful scenery, wonderful animals, terrible roads (thank goodness that Fadhili drove us slowly!). Wonderful to see the Maasai people, looking after their cows/goats/donkeys as we drove through the Parks. We never failed to be surprised and thrilled about
Read more how diverse the area was, surely making Tanzania a top destination to go to. Ballooning over the Serengeti was superb, very well organised and a must, even though it isn't cheap!. We went slightly out of season which worked in our favour, the Parks weren't too busy. Your guide and the Safari company you choose, is so important because it is them that makes sure you get to see the best of Tanzania and their Parks. All in all, a fabulous holiday, it exceeded our expectations and cannot be recommended highly enough as a must go to destination. Visit Tanzania, go on safari, immerse yourself in their culture, you won't be disappointed.
