Wow!!! Whatever you're hoping for, whatever you're expecting, prepare to have your mind blown! I never imagined I would get to do this and I purposely kept my expectations low. I'm a big cat lover and I hope I'd see one or two and I probably saw 100. There's so much beyond that though. The scenery is unlike anything I've ever seen. The wild animals just living in the wild and being allowed into that is just awe inspiring. I saw everything I hoped to see and I saw things I couldn't believe.
We chose Lion King Adventures. The price was right, they went to all the parks we read about and they had great reviews. I had no idea we would be with our own guide and we hit the jackpot there. Mkwanda was so fun and he knew everything about everything I asked. We learned so much about the animals. He took us to all the good spots and having 13+ years of experience, he knows his stuff. We really bonded with him and he seemed to really enjoy how

much joy we got from the experiences. He also got us in perfect position for some great photo opps.
We stayed for 6 nights and all of our accommodations were above and beyond our expectations. The lodges were beautiful, but I really loved the rented camps inside the parks. The rooms were just as nice as the lodges, but you were right in the middle of things. It was July, the weather was perfect. I brought a light fleece jacket and wore tank tops underneath and I was comfortable the whole time.
The culture is wildly different and so interesting to learn about. The hospitality is on a level that you won't believe.
If you're on the fence, GO!!!! I haven't been anywhere other than Tanzania and the only reason I'd go anywhere else is to see the great apes someday. It was safe, I never felt anything less than totally secure. The only thing I would do differently is bring more comfortable shoes, shoes that I already love and I would choose a package that was all tented camps.
This was an incredible, phenomenal, surreal experience and I'd go back in a heartbeat!!

Tanzania is a wonderful destination. Our first visit to Africa, to find the warmest peolpe, fantastic food, unbelievable nature, and Luxury with the touch hotels.
Tanzania is a one in your life trip. We took the 6 day safari in 4 parks, sounds like a lot, but each park and each day came with the unknown from the nature. Always guided by Enok our guide who made this an unforgetable experience.

Tanzania has been a great surprise, wonderful scenes, wildlife, warm and welcoming people and good structure for tourists accommodation. Serengeti is definitely the best park to see wildlife in their true habitat, such a huge open space with so many possibilities of sightseeing, Ngorongoro crater is also very unique, we were happy to see a rhino and such a beautiful landscape. Tarangine was a bit smaller, but we were able to see a lot of wildlife too. After the Safari, we went to Zanzibar for some relaxing time and the beaches are paradisiac and beautiful, I will totally recommend to do both this experiences. We love Tanzania and we recommended and we plan to go back when we have kids.

Tanzania really is the perfect place for a holiday. You can combine superb safari time with a trip to Zanzibar to enjoy snorkelling in the Indian Ocean.
Every hotel we stayed in was out of this world - and we weren't staying in the best ones. Highlights were the amazing tented camp in the Serengeti, the Marera Valley Lodge and the suberb hotels on Zanzibar - Tembo Hotel in Stone Town and the Mahali Zanzibar by the beach in Paje.
We felt happy and well looked after on every day. Our guide, Karim, from Ozon Light tours drove us round for the whole of a 5-day safari. He was amazing - knowledgable, great fun and incredibly hard working. Each area had its own unique characters and beauty, but all had loads of wildlife. We saw lions in trees and beautfiful elephants at Manyara, loads of cheetah, lion and the incredible wildebeest migration in the Serengeti, stunning views at Ngorongoro with flamingoes and a hyena kill as highlights and then more lovely elephants

and baobab trees in Tarangire. The birds everywhere were also superb - particularly the Superb Starlings ;)
And don't feel worried about booking your trip with a local Tanzanian tour operator. Everything was arranged perfectly and we had great communication with the tour company while planning the trip, after we'd booked, while were there, etc. We were able to make the trip bespoke to our dates and wants, transport was there exactly when they said it would be, the hotels they recommended were all amazing and good value and it worked out a lot cheaper than if we'd booked with a UK company that just add on their own margin. Tanzania is geared around giving tourists a great holiday and it is succeeding with this in every way.

All the things you've seen in documentaries when you're a child, is possible in Tanzania. It's absolulety great have the opportunity of watching a cheetah teaching her puppy how to hunt a gazelle, or lions for everywhere. But it's not only the incredible animals;: it's the global esence of the landscape, of the authenticity of natural wildlife. To sum up: unbelievable and extraordinary.

Tour guide was Mowalla. Excellent guide, knew the area and where the wildlife was expected to be like back of his hand. Very impressed by the scenery and by the abundance of wildlife. The Tanzania area was much larger than I expected. Took a lot of driving to cover all the areas. I over packed for cooler weather. Pleased to enjoy the winter weather of 70-75 during the day and good sleeping temperatures in the 50s at night. Sounds a little cold at night but with the bed covers was actually pretty nice. Only rained one time and not much on that one rain to effect anything or any part of the Safari tour. People on tour and the tour guides in particular were very conscious of keeping things clean and picked up. Tour guides were also very helpful in notifying other guides when special animals like the lions and leopards were spotted helping others see the animals too. Sometimes the radio chatter was a bit annoying but when you realized the chatter was letting other guides know of spotting the animals it wasn’t so annoying after that.

My wife and I did extensive research on which country to visit to go on an African Safari and we chose Tanzania. The country abounds in wildlife. We saw the Big 5 along with several other African wildlife.
Why we chose Tanzania is because the game drives were during the day. We would leave in the morning and return at dinner time. Whereas, other countries have their game drives split up in the early morning and again after dinner in the evening. Plus the range of environments from the savannah to the rain forest, there is such a variety.
Tanzania is near the equator and it's days are almost exactly 12 hours with sunrise at 6:30am and sunset at 6:30pm each day. Plus, the average temperatures are very comfortable, spanning from highs in the low 70s to lows in the mid 50s. We chose to go after the rainy season. June was a good month. It only rained a few times and even then it was an isolated shower for a very short amount of time.

from the USA we were not required to get any shots. We did take the anti malaria pills.
The food was wonderful. Just don't drink the local water. We drank bottled water.
The people are amazing. So kind and polite. I learned Tanzania is like the neutral country in Africa. They don't have internal conflicts like other countries in Africa. We felt very safe at all times.
We were in the north part of the country and didn't get to see the southern part, like Dar Es Salaam and the cost, which is stunning.
I could certain go on about how amazing Tanzania was. We're looking forward to returning again someday.

Great experince touring Serengeti and Ngorangora with Safari Soles. We saw an amazing range of wildlife in a few days, including the Mara river crossing of wilderbeasts, lion cubs, cheetah, cervile cats, elephants, a (distant) rhino, giraffes, and many antilopes. The scenery was beautiful, esp. the sunrise rides.
