Kirindy Forest can be visited at any time, but wildlife viewing is best from October to April. However, January to March is quite wet, hot and humid. Sometime in late October/November the fossas mate and that is one of Madagascar’s true wildlife highlights. The exact timing though is very unpredictable. Giant jumping rats hibernate in the Dry season and tenrecs are also mostly seen only after rain.
