Incredible experience all round
We have just returned from our 3nt/4 day safari with Suricata and I can’t thank them enough for the amazing family adventure we’ve all had.
We went as 2 families of 4 so had 2 guides, Jeremy & Simon, who were fantastic.
Friendly, knowledgeable & went out of their way to ensure we were happy.
We saw every animal we could dream of seeing and could not have asked for anymore - just wish we had longer! We will hopefully be back!
Our accommodation was also fantastic, especially Suricata Boma Lodge - so much more luxurious than we expected- again wish we’d had longer there to try all the facilities.
Serengeti Bush Camp was also a wonderful experience, being in the middle of the plains with all the animal noises.

The best experience ever!
We have just arrived back from our 3 nights, 4 day safari of the Serengeti and Ngorongoro national parks. We went as a family of 4 with friends who are also a family of 4. This meant we had two safari vehicles with 2 guides. Our guides Jeremy and Simon were the best we could ask for. We saw the big 5 and many more. The comminications for pick ups and day adventures were clear. Jeremy and Simons knowlwedge of the areas and animals were excellent. We stayed in various accommodation which were high standards. Hot food on the trip was provided each day and we had plenty of toilet stops. Everyday we saw lots of wildlife. We would highly recommend.

A Memorable First Day in Tarangire with an Excellent Guide
Our first safari day with Suricata Safaris was a fantastic introduction to Tanzania’s wildlife and landscapes. We started with Tarangire National Park, which immediately felt special with its huge baobab trees, open scenery and incredible variety of animals.
A big part of the experience was thanks to our guide, Steve. He was excellent from start to finish: calm, friendly, very professional and clearly passionate about the natural world. He explained many details about the animals, birds, plants and the specific ecosystem of Tarangire, which made the day much more interesting than simply spotting wildlife.
He also has an amazing ability to see animals that we would never have noticed ourselves. Thanks to his sharp eye, we even managed to spot a leopard in the distance, which was a real highlight. During the day, we also saw two lionesses, many elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, antelopes, beautiful birds and several impressive eagles.
The vehicle was very comfortable, and Steve’s driving was careful and reassuring throughout the day. Everything felt well organised, with plenty of drinking water available and a very good lunch provided during the safari.
At the end of the day, we visited a small Maasai village close to Suricata Boma Lodge. It was a very interesting cultural experience, with traditional dances, family homes and explanations about the local way of life. It added a meaningful human dimension to the day after the wildlife experience.
Suricata Boma Lodge was also a very pleasant surprise. The setting near Lake Manyara is beautiful, the rooms are comfortable, and the dinner was excellent.
Overall, this was a very strong first day: beautiful landscapes, impressive wildlife, a great cultural stop and, above all, an outstanding guide. Steve made the experience both enjoyable and informative, and we are very happy to continue the safari with him.

Prompt. Efficient. You get more than your money’s worth.
I booked a last minute 5days Trip- Adventure Camping Safari with Suricata Safaris and the experience was amazing! They were very prompt at getting back with you and making sure that all your needs and questions are addressed.
“Oh my, oh my,” how do I start. Pascal Mollel was our guide for the whole trip and he was par excellence! He was every prompt, efficient and knowledgeable. He can answer all the questions about everything that you can think of. Sort of a walking encyclopedia of Tanzania’s national parks. He anticipates our needs even before we ask for anything. He makes sure that we experience and see everything, always making sure that we are safe. He made me feel like a queen, always there to assist me when getting in and out of the Land Cruiser. He really touched my heart when he surprised us with Coca Cola for everybody on our excursion knowing that we were longing for one! We are really lucky to have him and will go with him to end of the earth anytime of the day!

Best he could have been. Made sure we saw as many animals as possible. Very kind, personable, fun.
Very disorganized the first day, we were unsure how we were getting to the first lodge after our kilimanjaro hike. Didn't get to the lodge until after midnight. Our guide was fantastic, and we had an amazing time once we got started on the safari. He knew so much and made sure we saw so many animals and he was awesome.

Ecky was professional, knowledgeable, and worked hard to make sure we saw so many animals.
Be prepared to cover a lot of road and have a lot of road covering you. The roads are bumpy but will worth it. I was wary of taking a safari thinking that we might travel for hours to only catch a glimpse of a few animals. I couldn't have been more wrong. Animals were everywhere and many would come fairly close to the vehicle. Watching lions stalk their prey is an experience I will never forget. Our driver/guide, Ecky, worked overtime and was in constant communication with other guides to locate as many animals as possible. We were extremely lucky to have him.

Great experience with Gerald!
We had an amazing experience with Suricata Safaris from start to finish. Everything was extremely well organized, and all the accommodations exceeded our expectations. Every lodge was comfortable, clean, and of a very high standard, making the journey even more enjoyable.
However, the real highlight of this safari was our guide, Gerald. He is the reason this trip became such a unique and unforgettable experience. His knowledge of wildlife is truly impressive, and he has an incredible ability to explain animal behavior in a way that is both fascinating and easy to understand.
What stood out the most was his genuine care for his guests, his attention to every detail, and his determination to make sure we had the best possible safari. He never stopped looking for wildlife and went above and beyond to give us the opportunity to see all of the Big Five. His passion, patience, and commitment made all the difference.
We absolutely loved every moment of this adventure, and I will definitely return for another safari in Tanzania. One thing is certain: it will have to be with Gerald again.
