An unforgettable first safari with Suricata!
5/5

I had an incredible 5 day safari with Suricata, seeing the big five multiple times thanks to our amazing driver, Alawi, who was informative, funny and ensured we had the best sightings. Our chef, Samson, also kept us very well fed during the game drives, with a great variety of meat and veg options.

All the lodges were beautiful, especially Boma Suricata Lodge, which was my favourite place, as it was the perfect place to relax after bumpy game drives. Tanzania Bush Camp in the Central Serengeti was also special, with lions hunting at night and stylish, comfortable accommodation to unwind in.

As my first safari, the bar has been set very high! I would highly recommend Suricata and would absolutely travel with them again.

Best choice
5/5

We were lucky enough to see the Big 5, all of them from very close up! But beyond the incredible wildlife, what really impressed us was how well organized everything was and how amazing the food was — you can hardly imagine how they manage to prepare such great meals out there. We were especially lucky to have Felix as our guide, together with Chef Salimu and Sous-Chef Godwin. An absolutely top-notch team that made the whole experience even more special!

Amiri was the best and funniest guide you could think of. You will have the best time with him!
5/5

Starting of with how perfect the trip was. Suricata managed everything perfect you don‘t need to worry about anything. The guides all of them are the most kind and funniest persons it‘s always fun with them and they know everything about the parks and animals. I was shocked about how good the food was. The cooks know definitely know what there are doing. I did the group Camping safari and I met a lot of cool people . The trip couldn‘t be better. Easiest 10/10

Amazing animal sightings, authentical lodges, knowledgeable guide!
5/5

Serengeti + Ngorongoro with Melita

We booked a 3-day group tour and had an amazing time! Our guide Melita spots every animal, no matter how well hidden, knows where to find the best coffee on the way to the park, and is miraculously able to avoid (almost) every pothole.

The roads are very bumpy and you have to cover many kilometers, but thanks to our guide Melita, the time flew by - filled with interesting conversations and sightings of several Maasai villages and various animals. Cold water is provided in the car and tjere are pleny of bathroom breaks on the way.

On the game drives, we saw an incredible variety of animals.

- The Serengeti seems endless, and you have to search a bit for the animals—which is no problem thanks to the experienced guide—but in return, you stay at a very authentic yet no less comfortable lodge (Tanzania Bush Camp). Dinner is a buffet with fresh ingredients, followed by a drink at the bar or by the campfire. You’ll spend the night in luxurious tents, complete with hot water and a comfortable bed. Since you’re in the middle of the Serengeti, you’re only allowed to leave the camp after dark with an escort, whom you can contact via radio. You’ll be woken up by the most beautiful sunrise, followed by a breakfast you definitely wouldn’t expect “out in the middle of nowhere.”

- The Ngorongoro Crater offers a wide variety of scenery, ranging from arid areas to green pastures and lakes. Accordingly, you’ll find all kinds of animal herds there (except giraffes)—they literally run right in front of your car. You’ll take a break at the so-called “Hippo Pool,” where there’s also a coffee stand serving delicious Tanzanian coffee. Unfortunately, you can’t spend the night inside the crater, so you’ll stay at one of the lodges (concrete cabins, not tents, but no less beautiful).

The nights before and after the safari are included in the tour as well but as I had private arrangements, I cannot rewiev this service. Also included is an airport pickup and dropoff, which was well-organized and on time.

It’s also worth mentioning the organization behind the scenes—in our case, Jesca. The booking process takes place via WhatsApp. It seemed a bit suspicious at first, but all questions were answered within what felt like 24 hours, and in the end, everything worked out—including a follow-up request for feedback after the tour. Many thanks for the professional and very personalized service!

Note: On such short lowbudget group tours, you should be aware that you'll spend a lot of time in the car and that driving on unpaved roads can be tiring. Alternatively, Suricata Safari also offers “more comfortable” tours.

= I can highly recommend both this tour and this provider! A tour with absolute value for money!

Chaz is a good man. Chaz ni mtu mzuri
5/5

Chaz was a wonderful man—easygoing, understanding, intelligent, and very knowledgeable. He knew how to find the animals easily and treated his guests with great care and responsibility, always considering their needs and circumstances.

Whenever we asked him for anything, he readily agreed and was always willing to help. Nothing was ever too much trouble for him. He truly was the right person for the job.

Amazing tour
5/5

It was a really well-organized and fun tour. We were very lucky because we got to see almost all the animals up close, and it was exciting to spot cheetah and lion cubs as well.
Charlè, our guide, was not only an excellent driver but also very helpful with his explanations and always willing to assist.
Highly recommended tour and a wonderful experience!

Ecky - the best driver/guide ever with awesome sense of humor. We took a 3 day safari tour which was amazing, the time didn't drag and passed through like one hour. 🙂 We saw all the desired animals only owing to the driver

Strongly recommended!

An amazing experience
5/5

Our driver Ecky was absolutely brilliant. It was down to him that we had such an amazing safari experience . Ecky just seemed to know where to go to let us see the animals and nothing was too much trouble for him. His good humour and forever smile was a joy and we had a good mixture of people who got on well will him. I would certainly tell anyone travelling on this safari to see if they could get on Ecky’s truck
