Wonderful safari!
This was our first experience in a safari and we chose It Started in Africa based on the reviews that we read on safaribookings.com and tripadvisor. We had a 5 days safari in the North of Tanzania (Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater) + 1 day base climb to the Kilimanjaro and 1 day to the hotsprings. We think that the support that It Started in Africa gave us was excellent from the very first day when we ask a quote via email. All of them have always been very helpful. Since day 1, when we landed at Kilimanjaro Airport, we realised that our guide (Emmanuel) was a great person. During our 5 days safari Emmanuel was amazing: good driver, excellent (and very patient) in spotting animals, very knowledgeable about nature/animals, an incredibly nice person and always ready to help us in case we needed. Last but not least, we had a lot of fun together. Summarizing, we definitely recommend It Started in Africa for your safari in Tanzania.

Pleasant, comfortable and professional
I arrived at Nairobi airport at midnight after a delay and our driver was patiently waiting and managed to safely take us back to Arusha where I spent a few days adjusting to the time and visiting with local friends and family.
The trip was to Mombasa passing through Moshi with spectacular early morning views of Mount Kilimanjaro and Meru. As we entered the warm salty air of the coast in Tanga, we stopped in for a delicious local lunch and took in the sunshine by the beachfront. Then we travelled along the eastern arm of the great Rift valley towards Mombasa through Tsavo National park where the wildlife is plentiful and the dusty roads give you a feeling of a long day of adventure.
I would recommend Aliasgar and his team any time. His professionalism and personal touch made the trip especially memorable.

Excellent time wished I could have stayed longer
Recently stayed at Zikomo for two nights, completed 4 game drives, had a great time expertly guided and hoping to come back for a longer stay soon. Viewing included leopards, lions, wild dog hunting, giraffes, elephants and so much more. In camp well cared and catered for, thank you.

An amazing 14 days in the Pearl of Africa
I was hesitant at first to sign up with this tour because Gatatu was unknown to me. But, this trip to Uganda was one of our most enjoyable trips. It was pure Africa, with bumpy, pot-holed roads, dust, town markets, seeing how Africans really live, and a touch of "whatever happens, happens" attitude. Before the trip Richard stayed in constant communication with us to allay our concerns. Stephan, our driver guide, was prompt, fun, knowledgeable, and networked perfectly throughout the country, speaking four languages as he did so. He provided every service we could have asked for and some that we never would have asked for, like cleaning my dirty shoes, socks, and pants after the gorilla trek! He even called me "Mama."
Accommodations were fun: each was different, from homey to stylish. Gorillas and chimps were breath-taking. The visit to the Batwa people was excellent, and the performance given by the school Richard operates was heart warming.
We absolutely love the company! We'll be back next year!

A Most Memorable Adventure
We could not have been more pleased with "Discover Africa." Our agent, Megan W, was knowledgeable, accommodating and highly responsive. She asked pertinent questions, listened carefully to our needs, then organized a personalized tour- the likes of which we will long remember.
Megan called our journey the "Amazing South African Adventure." Indeed, it was. From the Chobe Game Lodge in Botswana, the Cape Grace Hotel in Capetown, the Rovos Rail from Capetown to Pretoria, the Fairlawns Boutique Hotel, just outside Johannesburg, and the Okavanga Camp in the Okavango Delta, Megan booked first-class accommodations at the most interesting places. No less significant, she ensured we were met at every stop, then whisked away to top-notch adventures.
I've recommended "Discover Africa" to two friends, already and will surely use them again, when the next call to Africa beckons.

Incredible experience in Kenya
My parents and me had a 7 days tour with Kenya walking as our family trip with a reasonable package price, it' s come with very good value and hence they are highly recommended. Thanks so much for Mr. Otieno's quick reply for our questions as it is our first time in Kenya, so I want to know more about our stay. Even we only can afford the budget hotel, all the accommodation is clear, comfortable and quiet. When our trip start, our drivers- Sammi is a funny guys and he make a laugh with us all the time. And our cook - Jacob who make a wonderful food for us and I already miss his food so much. The tour is more than I expect, we are not only come to see the amazing animals and landscapes. Sammi & Jacob also show us the local culture, food and knowledge, it's more meaningful to us. Look forward to meet you guys next time!

Once in a life time
Excellent safari team. Our guide Elly is a very thoughtful, friendly and professional person, without him, we could not make this unforgettable experience. At beginning , Gideon has provided a lot of help with the itinary. They are very patient and kind person. I asked for a pick-up from the bus station to my hotel in Arusha.(When transferred from Kenya). The shuttle bus arrived late, they have waited for me for more than 1 hour, after we met each other, I realized that the hotel was only 5 minute driving from the station. They had known that upon my arrival and they still waited me. That worth choosing them again when I come to Tanxania next time.Tanzania is a very beautiful country, you must come to see the amazing nature, to feel the differences and relations between the species.
