About: Tanzania
Amazing safari!
Overall rating
5/5

We had an amazing week in the Tanzania’s parks and extremely happy with our safari. We saw the “big fives” on top of many many other wild animals, not to mention the outstanding landscapes and the very professional and excellent company of our driver and animal tracker. Accomodation was very good outside of the parks as well as in the tent camp, the food was actually good and the people very friendly.
We recommend MERU SLOPES for the excellent organization of our staying during our safari in Tanzania. We definitely recommend a safari in Tanzania!!

Good value for money
4/5

Pros: Very good value for money
Courteous service Very prompt communication
Resort arrangements were good.
Cons: Not Very tuned to birding or photography.
Felt they should have handled the Masai village visit better since we lost nearly two hours of safari time.

Where Adventure Meets Luxury: Buffalo Grass Safaris
5/5

Our Tanzania Serengeti safari was truly the best vacation ever.

Emmanuel was everything you could hope for in a guide — professional, incredibly knowledgeable, and so much fun to be around. His expertise made the experience unforgettable. Thanks to him, we were able to see not only the Big Five but also the Small Five — something we never expected and will always cherish.

The entire journey felt thoughtfully curated and special. We visited a Maasai village and had the opportunity to learn about and experience their culture firsthand. One afternoon we enjoyed a private luncheon set up right in the open Serengeti — an absolutely surreal moment. And one evening, we watched the sunset on the beach as wildebeest and zebra roamed nearby while flamingos waded gracefully in the water. It felt like a scene from a documentary.

The accommodations were stunning — beautiful hotels and luxurious tented camps — all paired with delicious food and warm hospitality.

Every detail was perfect. If you're considering a Serengeti safari, this is the way to do it. An unforgettable adventure from start to finish.

One of the best travel experiences thanks to the Buyaga crew!
5/5

It was a fantastic experience to work with Peter on an itinerary that was more complete than other operators. Peter was super responsive with all questions and is an amazing tour operator, caring for his clients. The hotels were lovely, the driver Eric was a superb guide, and I’m lucky to have just relaxed and enjoyed the beautiful country of Uganda. Peter even arranged the return of my gorilla certificate after I left it in the vehicle. Highly recommended!

an incredible safari with our guide "John Mwangi"
he is really great
he explains everything very well with a lot of teaching
but above all he is an outstanding driver and guide
always in pole position to find the animals and allow us magnificent photos and memories.
thanks to him we were able to see the big five more than once (lion leopard elephant black rhino), giraffes, zebras, gazelles, cheetah hunting and devouring its prey, family of lions fighting over their meals... magnificent memories
The Axis Africa agency is reliable and very good in communication from initial contact to support.
thank you to the whole team and to the best guide John Mwangi for sharing his knowledge and this fabulous safari

Guides & porters were incredible
4/5

We climbed Kilimanjaro via the Lemosho route and it was hands down one of the toughest things I’ve ever done — particularly summit day. A long, cold, relentless slog, but such an unforgettable experience.

Our guides — Johnnie, Temba, Conrad, Victor and Bonnie, were absolutely incredible. When I developed acute mountain sickness, they were calm and so supportive. They monitored me closely and helped me push through safely. I felt genuinely cared for the entire time.

The porters were also amazing. Their strength, kindness and constant encouragement made the whole trek possible. So much respect for the work they do.

Richard was very responsive on WhatsApp while organising the trip, which made the planning process straightforward.

Kilimanjaro is no joke, but with the right mountain crew beside you, it’s an experience you’ll never forget.

Irresponsable liar
1/5

We planned booked and paid a 7 days safari. The night before departure they cancelled the trip. They apologised and promised to refund the money. We were very desperate and angry. If you have enough money, you can book another Safari.
We reported them to Safari bookings, the TRA and many other people who said that they have influence tried to help us. Meanwhile they lied to us and to Safari bookings telling different stories of when they would refund and that they offered us a different safari. After nearly six months we have the money back because they had a lot of pressure. Hope that this company will never ever have the chance to do this again. Avoiding is the best solution. There are other companies, be careful though.

Solo birthday safari
5/5

I came on safari alone for my birthday and it was a great experience. I booked the 12 day 11 night trip for during valentine’s week. From the time my driver Oswald (32) picked me front the airport it was a vibe. He was professional and offered that I can request him to show me around Arusha, so I requested and agreed to the fee. We visited hookah sports bar, another sports bar for food, saw downtown, and the African art gallery. We visited the local market for souvenirs. Oswald was very attentive during the experience. The next day my guide Pius (40+) picked me up from my hotel and we started our multi day journey. Pius is super professional and very proper. He was very attentive as well. He even went on a hunt for my Coke Zeros because all store seemed to be out of them. This was a luxurious and unforgettable experience.

The most organised and reliable safari agency
5/5

Nkollo Tours & Safari is a local tanzanian agency from Arusha.

Through Safari Booking I had been in touch smoothly to get information on how to book and how to plan a 4 days safari.

Allan and Mercy had been always aside me remotely in Italy for assistance and enquirements. In parricular, Mercy has followed every step of this experience from the very beginning, to the reservation, the on progress safari and to the conclusion. Her availability and patience have helped me a lot from abroad.

Our safari was private, so we had a jeep 4x4 all for us. Emmanuel was our driver/guide and has become one the best encounters in Tanzania: a person that can be very available and accomodating with people, very kind and very respectful. He is an excellent driver. He is friendly and was always prepared to answer to our question inherent animals.

The accomodation for our first night has been “Suricata Boma Lodge”, a very comfortable solution with an amazing view on lake Manyara.

During our second and third night we stayed in “Moyo Tented Camp” that has been our favorite one. Why? Because for two nights in a row you can stay inside Serengeti National Park; then you have a view on the area where dig digs and buffalos (to mention some) like to ruminate during the night and in the early morning; finally the staff of this camp is special and give you the opportunity to have dinner with your guide/driver. I think it is an important moment in which you can know better the person you are travelling with and you can share impressions about the day shared together. For me this aspect has been a plus (along with the quality of the food).

All the safari is very well organised, from the driving time, to the lunch time and the visit you will have in each site or park. We have previously asked to pick us up and drop us off at a specific guesthouse in Arusha along with a “special request” of having vegetarian meals since we do not eat meat or fish.

Again, thanks to Allan, Mercy and Emmanuel this memorable safari experience has been possible.

What you read in the quote you see on the website and then you receive in the quote is fully respected. Every details is planned with attention. So let’s choose Nkollo Tours & Safaris for your next safari experience ;)
