Excellent 4 Days
5/5

We did a 4 night safari in Lake Manyara, Serengeti, and Ngorongoro in September. Lion King accommodated our schedule and customized a mixture of tent camping and tented campsites, and they took care of every detail. Our guide, James, provided a wonderful experience and was able to find, identify and give detailed information on both the animals and the plants, as well as cultural insights. Aside from picnic lunch, we spent most of the day in the Land Cruiser - so don't expect a lot of exercise, unless you arrange for a walk. I'd agree with others that it's best to stay inside the Serengeti and Ngorongoro parks because it's a bit of a drive to get sufficiently into the parks where the safari trails are, and once you leave the tarmac at the entrance to the park, the roads are rough.

The Serengeti Heritage Camp was close to the middle of the park, and had a wonderful view of both sunrise and sunset. Not luxurious, but very comfortable and with all the basics - more glamping than camping. All kinds of animals drifted through at night, and the camp had Maasai guards stationed throughout the night.

Would like to get back to see the parks at other times of the year.

Private tailored Classic Namibian was fabulous experience and great value. Couldn't beat it!
5/5

This safari was modified after helpful suggestions to include extra days in & near Windhoek at start & end & in the middle to slow the pace. Extra costs for private arrangements surprisingly affordable, including no single supplement. All arrangements ran smoothly from airport arrival to departure ( even the 0400 airport transfer!).
Hotels, lodges, hired vehicle, excursions uniformly excellent. Great game viewing at this time of year. Our local guide Kit was a good friend & all you could wish for. Without his local knowledge we would have missed half the great sightings & possibly even chosen the wrong wines!
This is a great company to deal with, helpful, responsive, & full of good suggestions. You really need to book this type of holiday with a flexible & knowledgeable local firm to get the best. We cannot recommend them too highly.

Wonderful
5/5

Gavin of Wild Wings Safaris customized an itinerary for us based on our preferences. The safaris both at Kruger National Park (stayed at Skukuza camp) and at Mohlabetsi Safari Lodge (Balule Reserve) were great. Everything was well organized and we had no problems with accommodations, transportation, etc. A once in a lifetime trip for us.

Growing up near San Diego wild animal park, Kenya has long been on my list of places to see. It did not disappoint. The wildlife in all parks was magnificent. The scenery was diverse and exotic. The weather was perfect. Mostly sunny, some rain and not too hot. The accommodations for my budget safari were clean and comfortable with the exception of one night, but it was remedied. Transpiration in the pop top van was interesting but mostly comfortable. We had three different guides, one was good, one was excellent and the third was not so good. The animals were truly the star and I plan to return to take my mother for another wonderful adventure.

There is a lot of negativity out there about traveling to Kenya.
My sister in law and I had an amazing time and were pleasantly surprised.
People couldn't have been any nicer, food was delicious and wildlife is abundant.
