Day 1 he was great, but his Lack of follow through and dishonesty with $ exchange were disappoint
The tour itself was everything I had hoped for. The group was great and went a great pace. The gorillas were amazing, and we had a few surprises on the way back when we met some on the trail! The flight back was wonderful, but the driver dropped me off over an hour and a half early to the local airport, which I didn’t think was necessary. It would have been nice to have been more relaxed at the hotel a bit longer as opposed to sitting at the local airstrip.

Great cultural experience in KIlimanjaro National Park and around
Good alternative to know Kilimanjaro NP, in case that you decide not to climb it. History about National Park and trekking n the slope of the mountain, in a cultural trip inside local people villages.

Camping united us in the wildlife adventure
It was my first time in Africa, I didn't have much expectations. My friend told me the National Parks where going to be amazing, but we didn't want to spend tons of money on a Safari. We found Open Safari for a great deal, and our driver "Moody" was responsable for us to succeed our expectations. The organization was simple, we booked the trip and pay for it via paypal. All the cars that go into the Safaris, are pretty much the same type of car, so I felt that we will experience the Safari as the same as other that pay more but for less. "Moody" was for us for whatever we needed. In the parks some times there is no electricity so he make sure we had our phone charge for us to take pictures of the wild life, and guide us where to find our needs for the night, such some cold beer or wine. We travel with a personal cook, that astonish me how he could create delicious meals at night with such few resources. Lunches where pretty basic as we just bite something in a nice spot in the parks, watching out that monkeys don't steal from our lunch boxes. The only thing that I was disappointed about was the camping in the Serengeti, but the company explained to me that the responsable for its maintenance was the park. It was pretty nasty. I will suggest that if you could afford it, go to some Lodges. The camping above Ngorongoro Crater had a great view and was more aceptable. I will highly recommend the company. Once you understand how all this companies work, I believe none one had an intention to trick or cheat on you, they will try their best to make you happy, at it should be.

Really good guide!
The Safari in Masai Mara and Nakuru Lake is ideal for a group of friends, family or couples who are looking for an adventure and some peace and quiet. I went alone and It was amazing as well!
The Lodge in Masai Mara and the Hotel in Nakuru Lake are situated near to the Game Reserve, both very clean, confortable, staff are friendly and there is hot shower during some hours per day (Masai Mara). The only thing is that I spent my first night in a shared room (even if I booked a private).
Aroni was our guide for 4 days and I really enjoyed his company, ponctuallity, knowledge about the animals and the places we’ve been, africain culture and enthousiasme doing his work! Really good driver as well! I would recommend Aroni to anyone.

Amazing scenery with more wildlife animals you could wish for
Wildlife: amazing! We saw the big five and many more. Nearly every animal bit crocodiles.
Scenery : Ngorogoro Crater and surrounding area are breathtaking . Something you won’t see anywhere else in the world .
The Serengeti is very beautiful and unique itself . Tarangeri Nationalpark was nice , too.
Lake Manara was not my favourite, as you can’t really drive up to the lake , you only see it from a distance . Further up in “the jungle” we saw plenty of monkeys and elephants, which made up for it.
Weather: a little bit chilly during the night and early morning, afterwards very hot.
Accommodation- the tents were put up for us every night which was great, we just wished they would have told us to bring a pillow, they provide sleeping bags but it might be more comfortable to have your own for cleanliness reasons.
The campsite near lake manara , where we stayed the first and the last night of our 6 day trip was very nice (it’s called “Fanaka”) , the stuff was very friendly , you could even put your own drinks in their fridge, and there was hot water in the showers .
But! The campsite in the serengeti , especially the facilities where just terrible, so we didn’t have a shower for 3 days. I‘d recommend to pay the extra money and get a tented lodge .
Food was ok.
Our guide Moody was a very friendly.

Wonderful Experience, wonderful guide, wonderful staff, wonderful accommodation.
Everything we expected and more, especially our guide Leo who was extremely knowledgeable and accommodating. Weather was a bit wet, but it was the rainy season, and our guide was prepared. Food was great as was the camp staff.

Mercury Zanzibar was a reliable tour operator, even thow there were some changes in the program.
We were picked up on time as prearranged in Dar es Salam. We felt always secure due to our very experienced driver, who was a knowledgeable safari guide. His english was quite basic, but over all sufficient. Accommodations were simple, but clean and for the price absolutely o.k. Unfortunately there was a lot of rain in January, what didn't allow us to drive the intended route due to a flooded road. We had to face a very long drive back to Dar es Salam and the next day to Mikumi. But everything was organized and we were housed in a good hotel. The really ennoying thing was, that for the last day our guide did not know that we were supposed to go to Udzungwa. So I recommend to check the program the first day of the trip with the guide. After some discussions and bargaining we found a good deal with Ndamungu from Mercury Zanzibar Travel for a compensation. All over it was a good experience with great game drives and due to the long drives we we saw a lot of the country.
