Not up to expectations
I remembered this park as a highlight of former safaris with an amazing variety of wildlife. This time it was disappointing, not only on account of lush vegetation. The roads are simply terrible, an offence for the drivers. The shabby appearance already of the gateway gives the impression that this park is badly managed.
NNP urgemtly need quick revamp....boring place
I visited NNP december 2015 after more than 5yrs.
1.Surely this place need revamp.Animal orphnage looks du from entrance all way to cages looks same and old.seats , cages, dustbins are old.elephants skelotons shud be replaced and mounted or hanged in attractive housing.this place is lion den and full of smell.
2~There are no animals in safari walk or any kws work to do something to attract them from hidding place to the watching spots.
3-Why shud one pay twice ...orphanage and safari walk....it shud be once.cashier at safariwalk on 27th december asked my kids age thinking i was lyjng that are under 18.....he sounded rude.
All in all this place cannot compete with even orphanges and nations with imported animals.
At one point the lioned roared and kids were afraid but noticed they wanted to be freed from cages since was already 11am.
Kws shud use monies to change this place....it is boring to see animals without someone explaning.....can staff be tasked to take group of 10 -20 around....this will have desired results...know heritage kr animals

Not safe
Amboseli was good with a lot of Animals, but tswo East e west are not good. 2 days driving and we saw few or not Animals.
On the beach, beachboys are so boring and you can't live your Sea experience in peace. I cant suggest Kenya Just for this reason. Sea and beach are Maldive level for me

Amazing beauty of dunes and desert
Namib Naukluft National Park is a beautiful park, but not a your typical safari destination. You won't see much game, nor will you see many birds. You will see a lot of sand, but it's beautiful. The patterns in the sand, the variations in colors of the dunes (older dunes are darker then younger dunes).
Visit Sossusvlei, Dead vlei and climb the popular Dune 45, the most photographed dune. Dunes can be as high as 300 meters.
I flew with a small plane from Dessert Air over Namib Naukluft national park and saw the endless desert, the fairy circles en de red dunes from above. A day i won't forget, ever.

Review about Arusha National Park by Gaston Maqueda
The pouching is a big problem in Arusha National Park and that is the reason why the wildlife is quite shy there
TANAPA need to invest more in the conservation of that beautifull jungle landscape

Not the best
We were told we had booked a particular accommodation, on the evening before our safari when we met them in Dar Es Salaam we were told we will be staying somewhere else as we were on the reservation list and the place was fully booked. We would never have booked if that was the case this, it was never explained in any email communications prior to booking. When we arrived at the accommodation is was way way below the standard we had booked for, aircon not working, broken windows, shower not working very well, need I go on! MAKE SURE YOU ARE GUARANTEED THE PLACE YOU WANT AND NOT TOLD YOU ARE ON A WAITING LIST!!!

Dissapointing
The experience in Kruger Park was ok but not how we expected, we didnt saw too many animals. We think that our guide wasnt good, he drive for the same part of the park most of the time, we spend our without seeing animals.
We didnt saw any cheetas, leopards and Rhinos. The thing is that most of the time you can see them there, so we think that our guide wasnt good. We’ve been in Tanzania but there is another thing, we really enjoy there, the parks, the tour guide and we saw a lot of animals.
We noticed that many people that pay a lot in the private reserve they has more chances to see animals and different species, I dont know if that a point to consider because they own a lot of animals , and the know exactlu where they are, but is very expensive too. Or maybe the option to drive by yourself could bebetter because you can go everywhere..
Also the communication during the tour with the agency wasnt good (Shinzelle Safaris).
We regret to add Kruger Park in our trip to Africa, that money could worth it, in another place, because we visited Tanzania and Uganda and everything there was amazing.
