We really enjoyed our safari trip to the Masai Mara with AlphaDean tours and safaris. They organized everything for from picking up from our location to the food and accommodation and then dropping us off at another location. Safaris are expensive and there are so many options so it’s hard to choose. But I would recommend them. The guides were nice, knowledgeable, and helpful. There was some drama concerning one room at the camp but it wasn’t the tour company fault but the Mt. Mingi camp’s mismanagement. The one thing I would have liked to been different is not having to spend time to drive to their office to pay the rest of the bill before the safari just because of so much time it took to do it. Overall a great time we had!!

Amazing
Safari was amazing. Kasaine was so good. He told us we could get selfies with all the animals and he wasn’t joking. We seen everything except for the elusive rhino. Karina is very knowledgeable about everything safari. He is also a good driver and educator. Would definitely recommend this safari tour.

Kenya is a real dream!
We had a great experience with the agency, despite a few hiccups (a strike, a bolt in the Jeep's tire, etc.).
The drivers were all highly skilled and knew the parks like the back of their hand! This really helped us spot all the wildlife, too.
We were also very happy with the accommodation—aside from the restrictions on electricity and hot water, but that’s standard throughout the country!

Unbelievable Uganda - Just book it!
I’ve been on many safaris in Kenya, Tanzania, South Africa etc however Uganda was by far my favourite. With the exception of rhino’s it has all the other big five with the added bonus of wild mountain gorillas and also chimps. I am a female solo traveller and I found Uganda to be very safe and welcoming. It’s also much better value than other countries. I found Uganda to be very quiet compared to other countries and never saw more than 6 safari jeeps together in a national park. I was very impressed with how ethical everything was, with the animals put first i.e. to see the gorillas you must wear a face mask and you’re limited to an hour with them. I cannot recommend Uganda enough, simply stunning.

Kenya is beautiful in culture, wildlife, and landscape.
My visit to Kenya was nothing short of spectacular! Every item on my hope-to- experience wish list was fulfilled. Although we did not see the Great Migration river crossing, we certainly witnessed hundreds of wildebeest and zebras heading that direction. (Be aware that the crossing experience is luck of the draw!)
Our August weather was great and varied dependent upon where we were - chilly in higher elevations, hot in lower and both rainy and dry. Glad that we heeded the advice to dress in layers.
Our guide/drivers were not only congenial and knowledgeable, they also made certain that we saw all of the animals, sometimes driving FAST over bumpy terrain when a call came in about a sighting.
All of the Kenyan people we experienced in the Nairobi hotel and the camps/lodges were very helpful, kind, and hard-working. It was truly a delight to make new “friends.”
We thoroughly enjoyed our Maasai village visit. It is true that you give money to visit and are expected to purchase crafts from the women, but we didn’t mind doing this in exchange for a front row experience. Plus, the funds help these people school their children. As former teachers, that was important to us.
We did not visit any other countries but there was plenty to do in Kenya alone. From exploring Nairobi to petting the last two remaining white rhinos at Ol Pejeta and enjoying fabulous views of Kilimanjaro with numerous stops in between, the 15 day safari went much too quickly! Our tour company, Tapestry of Africa, was outstanding in every category. This truly was an adventure of a lifetime!

Amazing wildlife, challenging driving, friendly and helpful people, awesome in total.
The wildlife viewing and scenery are superb. The people are very friendly and helpful. Our accommodations, camp sites were good with the ablutions exceeding our expectations. The lodges we stayed in were excellent, and we wished we could spend more time there. All in all an excellent trip and am ready to repeat it!
