Amazing from start to finish
5/5

Me and my now wife recently celebrated our honeymoon in Tanzania. Alongside our stay in Zanzibar we opted to fly to mainland Tanzania and under go a 2 day safari. Upon getting a few quotes from reputable companies I found Avitus and uncensored safaris to offer the best price and also the best communication. On the lead up to the safari Avitus was very responsive to any questions we had about what we needed to bring and any other queries.

Avitus organised all our transportation to and from our hotel in Zanzibar and our flights to Arusha. Upon arrival to Arusha we were met by Avitus and our tour guide the very knowledgable Hans. Me and my wife then set out on our way to Tarangire national park with our guide Hans. On route he explained what animals we may encounter, educated us on the local tribe the maasai and also gave us a lesson in Swahili which was very much appreciated.

Tarangire national park - we had an amazing day at Tarangire. Within an hour of entering the park we came across many zebra, giraffe and even a magnificent male lion. We then travelled some more through the park where we came across a beautiful herd of elephants. We then stopped for some lunch at a picnic spot with a breathtaking view of the water course below. Which had more elephant and zebra cooling off in the water - this was a sight to see. After lunch we made our way down to the water course to get a closer look at the elephants and even seen a huge bull which was very impressive to see the size of him. We carried on our drive to see many more animals. Amazing day at Tarangire.

We then made our way to our accommodation where Avitus had booked. This was on route to the ngorngoro crater. Leaving us just a 1 hour drive the next morning. We arrived at heart & soul lodge and checked in. This was amazing accommodation. Lovely lawn area with pool and sunbeds to relax and there was a stunning sunset taking place in the distance as we arrived. Me and my wife had an amazing 3 course evening meal at heart & soul and due to it being our honeymoon Avitus had very thoughtfully arranged for a cake to be bought out to us and for the staff to present it to us both which was a lovely touch and very much appreciated.

The next day we set off early for Ngorongoro crater. We got there nice and early before most other tours. We stopped at the view point looking down at the crater which took our breath away. It was like we were were about to descend into another world. We began our descent into the crater. We hadn’t even been in the crater for 10 minutes before we seen a male and female lion stretching out and sleeping together which was amazing to see. The crater was buzzing with animals. From zebra, wilderbeest, water buffalo, hippo, warthog, gazelle. The sheer number of animals was unbelievable and a sight to be hold. Before we stopped for breakfast we came across another male lion sleeping in some long grass. We then stopped for a lovely breakfast. We carried on our game drive after breakfast and took in more nature in the crater. Hans then took us into a heavily forested area in an attempt to spot a black rhino. Although we were unsuccessful - just before we needed to head back to the airport we had our best sighting yet. Around 8 or 9 elephants including their calfes right by our vehicle. This was truly breathtaking. We observed these amazing creatures feeding for 15-20 minutes. It was unbelievable to see them so close and the true size of these beautiful animals. It was the perfect end to our safari experience and we hope to return again one day with uncensored safaris. Hans then got us back to Arusha airport on time for our flight.

Throughout our safari Hans knowledge of the wildlife and the local areas and tribes was incredible. He looked after me and my wife throughout and was amazing. And Avitus from start to finish was amazing. We hope to book a safari with you both again sometime soon. And we highly highly recommend uncensored safaris they will not dissapoint.

Thank you Avi and Hans!

Great Safari
5/5

Our safari was absolutely unforgettable! From start to finish everything was smooth and well organized, but what truly made the trip special was our guide. He was knowledgeable about the animals and the environment, and his ability to spot wildlife from a distance was amazing. Thanks to him, we got to see the “Big Five” and so much more.

Beyond his expertise, he was also kind, patient, and fun to be around. He always made sure we were comfortable.

We felt safe, cared for, and inspired throughout the entire trip. If you are considering a safari, I recommend this company. Truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience!

Amazing safari experience
5/5

Great value for money safari. We were picked up from our hotel near Nairobi Airport and taken to the main office before going to Masai Mara. The safari drives were great. We saw the big 5 and lots of other interesting animals. We were hoping to see the great migration but it had happened a few weeks previously. The communication was good and our guide answered the questions we had. There were lots of vans in Masai Mara and at times it felt quite busy around the animals. They seemed unfazed though. We stayed at the budget accommodation. When we booked we thought we'd selected a specific camp but they put us in a different one. The camp was good though. Hot showers. Food was average but the staff were friendly.

Golden Africa turned our wonderfully chaotic family into the most relaxed holidaymakers in Botswana.
5/5

We had the most incredible time in Botswana with Rob and Moah. From start to finish, everything was perfectly organised, and we were lucky enough to see all the wildlife we had dreamed of (and more!).

Rob truly was the best guide we could have asked for. His knowledge, patience, and sharp eye for spotting animals made every drive fascinating and unforgettable. I learned so much that I now feel fully qualified to launch my own BBC wildlife documentary series (watch out, David Attenborough!).

It was an unforgettable experience and I couldn’t recommend Rob more highly.

FIVE STAR - THE BEST GUIDE IN RWANDA!
5/5

I can’t recommend Emile highly enough. He truly went the extra mile and made my journey through Rwanda unforgettable. From the awe-inspiring mountain gorillas in Volcanoes National Park to chimpanzee trekking in Nyungwe and the breathtaking wildlife of Akagera National Park, he planned and guided every step with care and expertise.

A former guide with six years of experience in Akagera, he answered every question I had with insight and deep knowledge of Rwanda’s wildlife and culture. He was always on time, efficient, conscientious, and professional—yet also warm and sincere, making every drive and hike a pleasure.

Thanks to his experience and thoughtful planning, I was able to witness the incredible gorilla naming ceremony and experience Rwanda in a way I never could have on my own. If you are visiting Rwanda and want a guide who is not only highly skilled but truly dedicated to making your trip extraordinary, Emile is the one to book.

Masterful
5/5

A terrific tour. Hussein worked tirelessly and successfully to show us all the big 5 and more.
The only thing I would do differently next time is to try to work more with the company to accommodate my difficult food restrictions for lunch.

Excellent, informative and our guide was the best.
5/5

Serengeti Smile is moderately priced and answered every question. Our guide, Hussein was very knowledgeable, friendly, worked very hard to have us see the big five animals as well as many other animals, birds and plants. My highlight in accommodations was glamping in the Serengeti. I would highly recommend this company and in particular our guide Hussein.
