Unforgettable Experience and Memories
5/5

From the first time Mr. Zeeshan responded to our initial inquiry until we got dropped off at the Arusha airport when our safari ended, everything has been a very pleasant experience for us. Team Msangai is very responsive, flexible, punctual, trustworthy, reliable and knowledgeable. Eric coordinated everything flawlessly, Julius and James executed with great attention to details, customer satisfaction and rules & regulations.
You can choose your own accomodations or go with their recommendations, depending on your taste and budget. Msangai team knows the intricate but important details about making your safari a success and memorable. They are also fun, accomodating and kind people (to the clients, nature and the animals). At the end of out trip, we left with new friends that we would recommend to anyone wishing to go for a well thought and executed safari trip. Keep up the good work guys and hope to see you soon again.

It is possible. Extraordinary safari experience without luxury and WiFi thanks to Bogosi
4/5

Booked the safari for 2019, but due to corona started in 2021 with 2 teenagers aged 13 and 15. We actually wanted to book a self-drive safari and were glad that we chose Bogosi, who has contributed to the success of this tour through his many years of experience. A tour with a guide also gives the driver a holiday feeling. We're talking about 6 days of African massage, as Bogosi used to fondly say, since there are no paved roads from Maun to Chobe. Bogosi drove with us over paths that we didn't even recognize as such and would not have dared to drive alone for fear of breaking an axle, always looking for the best spot, of course. We saw all the animals that the national park has to offer and there were a lot of them. Whether it was giraffes or elephants in the middle of our path, herds of lions gathering strength for the next hunt, leopards sharing pumba or the lazy cheetah resting in the tree, Bogosi always had the right nose. His open safari car with three rows of seats made the trip even more enjoyable than in the closed, air-conditioned pickup. We slept the 6 nights at 3 locations in large, high-quality igloo tents that were very quick to set up and take down. Also the sophisticated mattress system. One of us wouldn't recognize the campsites as designated campsites, somewhere in the middle of nowhere, but that was the charm of the trip. Although hyenas and anteaters frequented our camp in search of our kitchen supplies, our chef Timo always guarded our camp well. Timo is a real bushman, who conjured up real miracles on his small lattice over the fire and always gave us security. We didn't know what we were getting into and when Bogosi picked us up with the car and trailer we weren't sure if this could be really great, but it was and we would do it exactly the same way again and again. Thank you, a great experience - also for teenagers!

Amazing trip
5/5

I did the 11-days Kenya Tanzania safari. It was a great experience, we saw lots and lots of animals. The hardest was to go back home. We followed the scheduled program. Steve was helpfull and always available (7/7) for any questions before AND during the safari. I choosed the budget safari but do not regret it at all. It totally met my expectations. Accommodation and food were ok for the money spent. Some comments online about the camps are a bit exaggerated :)

No words to describe how excellent this was
5/5

I do not have any words to describe how brilliant this safari was with this number one company for safari ! We saw so many wildlife and the guys ‘ James and Freddy ‘ were so safe with the car compared to the other companies that broke a tire every time they took the road . We had excellent local food, the cars were so comfortable and that is the first car I have never been sick in they offered plugs and refreshments in the car . Thank you so much to them again and we hope to seen them again .

HIGHLY RECOMMEND HOME TO AFRICA TOURS!!!
5/5

I had one of my best travel experiences with Home To Africa Tours. I did a 12 day western Uganda tour which allowed me to focus on one part of the country and be able to actually enjoy the trip instead of trying to rush from one place to the next. Derrick was my driver and he was the perfect guide for me. He was very chill but also very informative and knowledgeable about wildlife and the culture of the country. I told him I wanted a taste of the "real" Uganda instead of just doing the touristy things. He took me out to a couple of the local bars at night, we stopped and ate some of the street food from the local vendors and we became friends along the way.

The thing about traveling to a third world country, is that you have to remember that you are in a third world country and you are not going to have the same comforts or amenities as you may have at home or while visiting other westernized countries. You would think this would go without saying, however, I realize that is not always the case. However, with that being said, my lodges were very comfortable with beautiful surroundings and left me with nothing to complain about.

Another thing to remember is wildlife is unpredictable and even though you might have it in your mind that you're going to see all of these animals you dreamt of seeing, the reality is, that's not always the case. I was one of the lucky ones and saw even more than I bargained for. Part of that was because I decided to spend an extra day at Queen Elizabeth NP. Three days at that park might be too many for some, but after not seeing much the first two days, I opted to do the tracker experience (for an extra fee). That was a total game changer for me. It allowed for a "front row" view of a leopard in a tree and a pride of lions making a kill. I even saw a hyena running across the savanna. I wouldn't go into this expecting to see the same things, however, you're chances of seeing these animals do increase drastically.

I did gorilla, chimpanzee and golden monkey trekking as well. I was one of the lucky groups to locate the gorillas within the first hour of trekking, however, I know this can be a 7-9 hour day while hiking through some very difficult, steep terrain. The experience was amazing but that hour did go by fast for me. It was definitely worth the experience, but if I go back, I might opt to do the gorilla habituation where you can spend four hours with them.

All in all, it was a trip of a lifetime for me and I would definitely recommend Home To Africa Tours. I really believe Derrick made all of the difference in my experience. He showed me the "real" Uganda and was so patient about everything. Home To Africa really nailed it in planning everything I had hoped to see and do. I embraced the country and it's culture as well as I could, and I hope if you choose to go, you do the same. It's a beautiful country with so much to offer, but ultimately it's up to you to truly embrace the country for all of its beauty.

Outstanding Tour Guide and Host
5/5

We arranged an eight-day camping safari from Maun to Chobe, Botswana in January 2021 for our group of seven friends (Six are in our late 70s). Four are residents of Colorado and three from Canada. Bogosi Kakambi ("BG") and his staff gave us a terrific tour. My wife and I have traveled frequently to many southern African destinations since 1996. This was one of the best safari experiences we have had and certainly exceptional value for money. BG is an exceptional man and an exceptional guide. He and his team (Timoth and Gift) responded to our every request. The meals were excellent. The vehicle was perfect for our group, even on the roughest January, rainy season, roads. Game viewing was outstanding as well. We have never seen so many elephant. And on our last day in Chobe National Park, we were treated to a pack of Wild Dogs around our vehicle. A morning mokoro (traditional canoe) excursion in Khwai and the Chobe River boat excursion were memorable as well. At the end of our tour BG personally drove us to Victoria Falls for the final stop on our tour. We would not hesitate to recommend BG and Moonlight Safaris to anyone who is looking for a first class African Safari Adventure.

My wife and I returned to Chobe the following year (August 2021) and went on a memorable day-tour from Kasane to Savuti. BG was our personal guide on that trip and he gave us another excellent tour.

Once in a lifetime dream come true.
5/5

While traveling in Kenya my wife and I were given the opportunity to do a safari in Masai Mara. We came across Mufasa tours online and I am very glad we did.

Booking and planning online was very convenient. Coming from America we were able to use WhatsApp to communicate and Joseph, who we talked with, was very attentive and thorough.

Our guide Julius made a once and a lifetime experience even more memorable. He picked us up in Nairobi and drove us to the Mara. He was very friendly and knowledgeable, made the trip down part of our experience learning about Kenya. Loved to share his passion for wildlife and his country. With around 30 years experience, I don’t know if we could have found anyone better suited to guide us.

Once arriving at the Mara we had a limited amount of time but a very long list of what we wanted to see… a tall order. Julius went out of his way to make sure we got to experience everything we had hoped for. I even mentioned in conversation wanting to try traditional Kenyan food and at our last night at the camp I was surprised with some ugali at dinner. Julius had mentioned to the kitchen staff our previous conversation and made sure I got what I had wanted.

We feel very fortunate to have had this experience and are thankful to everyone at Mufasa for helping plan this. If you are traveling from abroad and planning safari trips in Kenya you can feel confident in using Mufasa, they are very attentive and user friendly. And do yourself a favor and request Julius if he is available.

High School Graduation Trip
5/5

Our 19 & 19 year old granddaughters chose a trip to Africa as their destination. They graduated June 2022 and we started planning the trip with Sarah a year before our departure. I have been to Africa many times before and really wanted to see the migration of the wildebeests in Tanzania to Kenya. So the trip was designed around that request. The girls wanted to see Giraffes and Hernias. We were successful and saw our requests. My husband is a photographer and he was able to shot wonderful pictures on our 11 day trip.
We were taken care of from the moment we landed to the time we had to say good bye to Africa.
We experienced 5 different camps and each one offered a different look at Africa.
Sarah and Peter were always available before our trip and had everything mapped out for us.
The transfers from camp to camp went very smoothly and we were always with a guide to help us with our luggage and get us to where we were going next.
The camps were able to take care of our dietary needs as one of our granddaughters is a vegetarian .
All in all our trip was a memory our granddaughters will always carry with them
As a side note I have used Ker & Downey 4 times now.
