Amazing
5/5

Spectacular activity well organized. Highly recommended!

Everything went as planned and described in this activity! Both transportation to and from (arriving at your exact time), visiting Prison Island (both the giant tortoises and a large part of an old slave prison), and ending with Nakupenda beach (where they offer a huge tray of fruit and a seafood platter), it was indeed great!

Thank you all for this experience, really highly recommended on your visit to Zanzibar!

Good price, bad safari.
3/5

If you can only afford a budget safari and just want good pictures of animals, then this one might be a good option. The cost includes all meals, park entrance fees, transport and everything was well organised. However, if you would like a good safari with nice animal encounters, then I'd recommend going with another operator.

We were driven around in the Masai Mara for 3 days by Isaac from Jocky Tours. Isaac had his radio on constantly, listening out for reports of sightings. As soon as a sighting was reported (which was pretty much constantly, the charm of the Mara!), he'd put the accelerator down and drive full pelt to the sighting location. You'd be thrashed around at the back of the vehicle. Isaac would go off road at every possible opportunity. The Mara is scarred with tyre tracks, even though guides are supposed to stick to the roads. Once we'd reached the animal, Isaac would do all he can to get in the path of the animal, and as close as possible. Sadly, most other cars had the same idea, making the animals very stressed as lots of cars (most of the time 15+ cars) fight to move within 2 metres of them. As the animals move, the cars move too, constantly creeping closer and interrupting their path. This meant that most of our animal encounters were actually just distressing, rather than enjoyable. This appears to be a problem with most drivers in the mara, not just Isaac, and needs to be sorted.

We asked Isaac if he could slow down, stop driving in the animals path and we said we did not want to go close to the animals and cause them stress. However, he didn't listen and continued to do as he liked.

There were a few nice moments with animals, where we asked Isaac to stop and turn the car off. But any peace was disrupted by the radio or him on the phone. He'd also decide quite quickly that he was bored and start the car and drive off, cutting our nice moments with animals short.

I left the Mara feeling quite sad, realising that the chaotic and cruel interactions between animals and the drivers that I'd experienced, most likely happen on a daily basis.

If you are looking for an enjoyable safari and a guide that actually cares about the wildlife, I would not recommend Jocky Tours. Despite the price tag for this Jocky tour trip being so appealing, I'd recommend finding another operator and being clear to them before booking about what type of safari you'd like to go on.

Great Migration Expeditions
5/5

We recently returned from a 6-day migration safari with Jordan as our guide and driver. He was extremely knowledgeable and took us to see all of the big five and much more! We visited four incredible parks: Tarangire, Ngorongoro, Serengeti, and Lake Manyara, and saw a variety of animals and stunning scenery in each. Everywhere we stayed, the people were so nice; Katikati tented lodge, Hill top tree lodge, Serena lodge - all very nice and different. In each location, the food was excellent. We had a fantastic time and would highly recommend Kitau Tanzania Safafis and, in particular, Jordan as a guide! Tanzania is stunning

7 Day Kenya Safari
5/5

We enjoyed our safari in Kenya. It was the fantastic experience I ever had. The animals I saw, the dust I breathed in, the fresh smell from the animal poop, and the luxury tents I stayed! It was something absolutely new to me! Thank you for arranging for me!

Safari in Krüger Park
5/5

Our group of 10 friends ended their 14-day journey in South Africa by the Krüger, 5 days of safari to discover and observe wildlife.
For accommodation, the Grand Krüger Lodge at the gates of the park was magnificent. And the must, a BBQ in the Bush with a night safari during which the tracker explained to us the life and hunting techniques of the animals. The whole group left with memories in their heads and also engraved in the pixels!...
Many thanks to Thierry for the organization.

Great Mara experience
5/5

David found the big 5 for us! ( even a rhino) He turned around when we were almost back at our hotel on one drive when others would not. He knew where and when to go on drives and asked us what we wanted to see. Would certainly recommend David.

Masi Mara tour
5/5

Our driver David was very experienced and certainly knew his way around. we asked specifically if we could see a Cheetah or a leopard in the end we saw both. the tour hit the highlights on the last evening drive when David using the radio contact of other drivers found a rhino which made the whole adventure a dream come true..highly recommended
