Friendly, accommodating, wonderful!
With COVID-19 restrictions limiting our travel options, my wife and I took the opportunity to visit Africa for the first time with little time to prepare. After thoroughly enjoying Nairobi and Mombasa, we squeezed in our first safari with Benicia. Alfred and his team were so friendly and patient making us feel relaxed and happy throughout the entire process. This was not busy season and with COVID there were not many tourists around, and we were so fortunate to have a self paced and customized experience. The gem in our trip however was our courteous and friendly driver and guide George, who in addition to being extremely knowledgeable and experienced, kept us safe and secure while ensuring we had plenty of time to catch all the sights. We saw the big five including white and black rhinos, and a family of elephants descending out and about our van! Priceless experience I wholeheartedly recommend to everyone! We look forward to coming to Benicia again! Ask for George, and you will also meet the polite, young, armed park ranger Benedict who will keep you safe from hippos as you tour the Mara River where wildebeest make their famous crossings between Kenya and Tanzania past hungry crocodiles. So many wonders!

Great safari experience and a memorable family vacation!
We took a trip to Kenya with Right Choice this past August and it was our most memorable and fun vacation as a family. We were 9 adults and 4 kids and travelled to Lake Naivasha, Lake Nakuru and Masai Mara.
George, the owner, earned our trust right from the first time we reached out asking for quotes. He provided details, followed up on our questions, helped us craft our itinerary and stayed connected with all the way till we reached back home. He was prompt in getting us support while we were in Nairobi, helping us book additional rooms while we were on the trip and was flexible with our changes. Overall great customer relations and communication skills. All his arrangement exceeded our expectations and the hotels that he picked were great as well.
Our tour guides were the ones that made our stay and safari truly memorable. We had two land cruisers and our guides were Jacob and Opany. They picked us up from the airport, drove us around in Nairobi, stayed with us through the Safari and dropped us back to the airport. They were both warm, fun and knowledgable about the Safaris. Jacob, in particular, was very good at spotting animals and guessing their patterns to a point where he could see things that we could not with our binoculars. He made sure that we saw the big 5, but also covered lots of animals and birds based on the park that we were in. We were lucky to see a Lion family, a Hyena stealing a carcass, Rhinos and not to mention that the several hundred thousand wildebeest doing the migration at the time. It was a great experience overall.

The best!
Perfect experience for first time safari goers. Our guide Joseph couldn't have been better. So informed, patient, and an excellent driver. Accommodations and food were lovey, although box lunches could stand an update for the American tourist.
I highly recommend Mama Savanna African safaris. The company was very accommodating and well run. Absolutely loved every .minute!

Amazing Camping Experience!
AMAZING! I can’t say enough good things about Meru. We had such a wonderful experience from start to finish. 6 day budget camping safari.
Booking Process: After reaching out to Meru via email, the owner Geofrey Nasari finalized all trip details on Whatsapp. To be honest, the booking process and the communications with Geofrey seemed too easy and I thought it might be too good to be true. We did have to send a bank wire transfer of 15% to reserve our spot. I was worried sending this money because I thought we might get ripped off. Not at all – this company is legit and the reviews as accurate. We paid for the remainder of the trip when we arrived in Arusha. We paid a portion via credit card and a portion via cash.
Pick Up/Drop Off: When we walked out of the Arusha airport, we were picked up a driver named Neuro (sp?). He was also our driver back to the airport after the safari and was very knowledgeable about the area and things to do. He also gave us some great tips and places to check out for our next leg of the trip to Zanzibar.
Safari: Our guide, named Moody (sp?) was great! He was funny, friendly, and really wanted to make sure we had a great time. Every time we would stop for animals, he always made sure that we had enough time to view the animals and would confirm with everyone that we were ready to move on to the next spot. Our cook named, Mathayo (sp?) was equally amazing! I have no idea how he was able to prepare such tasty meals while we were camping. He is a very skilled chef. Some of our best meals during the entire trip were prepared by him. Moody and Mathayo were a great team together and made sure that everything was taken care of, and we were able to enjoy ourselves. While we were at some of the park entrances, I could overhear other tourists (booked on other tour companies) complaining about the permits not being ready or having to wait before they could enter the parks. We never ran into that situation. Moody and Mathayo ran the safari schedule so smoothly and we never ran into any issues like that. We did get 2 flat tires (once you have been on the dirt roads you will understand how easy it is to get flat tires there!) They were so quick and efficient at changing the tire, it was no more than an unplanned bathroom break. So grateful that we had Moody and Mathayo for our trip! Can’t say enough good things about them.
Overall: highly recommend Meru! Camping was an amazing experience and Meru goes above and beyond to make sure you enjoy yourself. I can’t imagine a better safari for the same price. They know what they are doing.

Fabulous!
Just coming to the conclusion of our ten day Safari, I can only give the trip, our drivers and the planning a five star rating! It has been terrific! Njinu our driver/guide, along with Jonathon and Douglas were all so wonderful. As needs arose help was right there. Without hesitation Our guide was there with answers and educational material. My knowledge was expanded exponentially! I really cannot recommend the company, ‘Explorer Kenya’ more highly. It is not possible to completely explore a place without a helpful tour guide who knows everything about the place. We were very lucky to have someone like Njinu who was so knowledgeable.
All our vacations are made better by an experienced and friendly tour guides who provide us with all the information about the place and enlighten us on the history and culture of the region.
Please accept our heartfelt gratitude for being such a great hosts and wonderful tour guides. You took us to places we hardly had any idea about. You and this trip will be etched out in our memories forever.

Delivers beyond expectations
I went on a 6 days adventure to Kibale national park and queen Elizabeth national park and my experience was exquisite. I enjoyed every bit of the adventure, right from the reception at Entebbe Airport. The services provided, the food, the chimpanzee tracking, the animals, the accommodation were all beyond my expectations. Surely, I'll return to Uganda to do some Gorilla tracking and learn more about the Ugandan culture. I highly recommend Bashem Safaris Tours and Travel. Book your next trip with them. Best Company, Great value!
Since our first encounter the communication was fast and open.The company is really patient and helping. We where on a budget and we really wanted to enjoy our Safari in Tanzania.Jackson helped us to plan a Safari based on our budget.And it turned out to bebour best experience ever in Tanzania.The Safari was very nice,we saw many animals. Our guide was always sharp and knowledgable.The food was prepared everyday by our chef and we loved the hot meals.We would probably come back again.

Amazing, genuine, helpful, and quick to respond.
Had an absolute amazing time at my 3 day safari through the Serengeti and Ngorongoro crater. Saw some amazing wildlife and the parks are gorgeous! We stayed at the Serengeti Heritage lodge and Ngorongoro serena lodge and both these places were fantastic.
I wanted to write a special thank you to Emanuel whom I booked everything with. He is a genuine person who went above and beyond to accommodate us and take care of our needs. He even spend time to take me to get my covid test done (for travel) and took us shopping when we asked. He was very quick to respond back to questions when I was booking, which I appreciated a lot.

KILIMANJARO TREK, SAFARI & ZANZIBAR | August - September 2021
We are a couple and we have done a 16 days trip with the LION KING ADVENTURES, consisting on three parts: Kilimanjaro trekking + Safari + Zanzibar.
Overall, we have had an EXCELLENT experience travelling with the Lion King Adventures. We are now very happy to have chosen this agency to organize our trip. We would recommend it without any doubt!!

TRIP ARRANGEMENTS & FOLLOW-UP: Pendo was our main contact once the trip planning was set. She made all the bookings and transfer arrangements. We had very fluent communication with her before and during the trip, she is always available to resolve your doubts and concerns. She cared about all the details. The trip was extremely well organized:
⁃ The hotels were extremely well located and comfortable
⁃ All the pick-ups and transfers perfectly arranged
⁃ She takes care of all the details (arranges PCR-test if needed to go back, arranges pick up of extra luggage not needed for the safari…)

KILIMANJARO TREKKING (6 days/5 nights - Marangu Route):
Although it was hard, with the support & encouragement of our guides IMRAN and FRANCIS we managed to reach the Uhuru peak (5.895m). It is an amazing experience, and the views from the summit are really worth it!! It is important to highlight that it was a collective success, without the help & contribution of each of the members of the crew we wouldn’t have been able to make it! We had a 10-members crew (2 guides, 1 cook and 7 porters).
We are now very happy to have done Marangu Route, as we appreciated to sleep in camps instead of tends.
Recommendation: be ready for the cold; bring as many winter clothes as you can (ski clothes will help a lot)
SAFARI (6 days/5 nights - Central & North Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, Lake Manyara):
Our guide & driver, David, ensured we saw every animal! we were extremely lucky to see the BIG 5. It was worth it to extend the trip in order to go to the north; we were able to see the wildebeest migration!!
All the mid-range accommodation lodges were perfect! It is amazing to sleep in the tended lodges in the middle of the Serengeti, extremely worth it!
ZANZIBAR (4 days/3 nights): the island is totally worth it. It is preserved unexploited!
We stayed at Amaan beach bungalows, the location is amazing and totally worth it!
All in all, we have had an EXCELLENT experience travelling with the Lion King Adventures. The organization, hotels and transfers were perfect. We completely recommend organizing your trip to TANZANIA with them, you won’t regret!!
