Memorable Kenya Safaris with Excellent Guide but Room Coordination Needs Improvement
We had a wonderful safari experience with Axis Africa Expeditions & Safaris. The communication during booking was smooth and their driver-guide, Livingston, was simply outstanding—very knowledgeable about wildlife and birds, and made our game drives in Masai Mara, Nakuru, and Amboseli truly memorable. The value for money and service during the safari were excellent.
However, we faced an issue with the hotel room in Amboseli. Despite confirming a Mt. Kilimanjaro view room in advance, we were initially given a different room and had to put in extra effort to get what was promised. After a long 8–9 hour road journey, this was quite inconvenient.
Overall, the safari itself was exceptional and I would highly recommend Livingston and Axis Africa for game drives, but better coordination on hotel arrangements would make the experience completely hassle-free.

The safari was fantastic; the driver was confident and safe. We were able to see all the animals. The first camp was very unhygienic; there was hardly any water, only cold water. The second camp was fantastic. The organization was perfect; everything went smoothly. The price/performance ratio was very good.

Divers safari itenery, fund and knowledgable guide and fantastic loges!
Itenery of the Safari was great, very diverse. Our driver was Hussein, who was very flexible, nice and also knowledgeable about the wildlife - it was fun and educational, and he did his very best to spot animals for us, constantly consulted his colleagues on the road to ask who saw what where to take us to the greatest spots. The lodges used by Destiny Explorers were all fabolous! On the flip side, what was not so great was the car - it was very old and clearly struggled to go uphill and was very slow; and the food was very basic - we would have preferred a more fancy picnic option and a thermos of COFFEE in the car.
Overall I would recommend the operator, the itenery and also Hussein as a driver - we enjoyed and are one experience richer!

Great Trip with a Few Hiccups
We booked this safari almost a year in advance. There were a couple of things that required me to send reminders but it was taken care of promptly. The trip had many wonderful highlights — Kenya was excellent and the gorilla trek in Uganda was truly unforgettable. Those experiences went smoothly and gave us memories we’ll treasure.
That said, not everything was seamless. Some of the planning around Tanzania didn’t come together initially as hoped, and there were a few logistical and communication challenges that made this part of the trip feel less organized. This led to some downtime and a guide who wasn’t quite the right fit. While these issues didn’t take away from the beauty of the wildlife, they did add some stress that could have been avoided with more careful coordination.
Overall, the safari had incredible moments and we’re glad we went! With better planning and coordination this could have been a smoother, more consistently outstanding experience.

We entered the national park in the south and left in the north. The last part we loved the most. There we spotted the most animals.

great all inclusive organisation, which allows you to sit back and relax during the full trip
We went on a 5-day safari in Nyerere and Mikumi National Park and it was an amazing experience! Communication with both the organization and our driver was smooth from the very beginning. Pick-up and drop-off at our accommodation were perfectly arranged. Our driver was friendly, professional, and did everything he could to show us the best spots and wildlife. Thanks to him, we truly got the most out of our trip.
The only downside is that two of the five days are mainly travel days, but overall it was still an unforgettable safari that we can highly recommend!
