Honeymoon safari
First of all, we had a great time. We have been picked up at the airport by Edward. Beforehand we were warned that the roads aren’t that good at Afrika and we would get an African massage. Nothing was lied about that. After arriving at the lodge we had a resting day. We already had our briefing in the Netherlands where we met up with Magda and Adam. So the only thing we got was our tickets to ZANZIBAR. Our guide Franky was amazing. He picked us up at 8am and off we went to our bike tour and find the wild animals. Already on the first day we saw a lot and he explained everything nicely and made sure we got to make a lot of pictures. After a few days we said what we would like to see. And because it was very wet everywhere there was a chance that we could get stuck, but we got everywhere to see those amazing animals. And yes we got stuck but that’s part of the adventure when you go to Africa and a risk that we were willing to take. Franky has made sure that we have seen the big five and more amazing animals. We are very lucky that we have seen so many animals during this season as the grass was very high. Take you so much for taking care of us. He is a great driver as he was always careful. We had an amazing adventure!
The best safari experience ever!!
After lots of research, my friend and I booked with Suricato safaris about 2 weeks before we left and we are so glad we did! The owner Hillary could not do enough to help make our trip as perfect as possible...adding extra nights to already scheduled trips, planning bespoke routes so we got to see all the best spots and allowing us to change our booking right up to the last minute when we had some confusion with flights.
Everything ran smoothly, from the moment we were collected from the airport to the moment we collected our luggage from storage and checked into the last hotel.
The safari blew our minds in terms of the animals we saw - lions with cubs, families of elephants, rhino, hippo, leopard, monkeys, wilderbeast, the list is endless! A cheetah actually jumped on the roof of our jeep to get a better vantage point from which to hunt!! We nearly passed out from fright!
Massive thanks to Lewis, who was an amazing driver and guide. He was so knowledgable, spoke great English and was very funny which is always nice when you’re in a jeep for 4 days with someone. Our cook Dioness provided amazing, prepared from scratch, meals three times a day...pretty tough in the middle of the Serengeti!! A top chef!
We took the option of a cheaper trip which was camping for 3 nights and lodge for one night. Hearing lions at night and buffalo grazing outside your tent at 1am is an amazing experience but camping is definitely not luxury, so be prepared!
If I could suggest one thing that could be improved is that we stayed at Ecobomo lodge on the last night and had a ton of mosquito bites due to the lake nearby and there was no fan in the room to keep the air flowing. We hadn’t had any bites the whole time, so was a bit of a shame. However that is not the fault of the safari team.
To sum up...if you want to have a truly amazing safari experience with local guides, great food and lovely people...at a good price...then choose Suricato Safari.
Thank you!

Unforgettable safari experience in Kenya & Tanzania!
Being an Argentinean family, we contacted our fellow countryman Justo Casal, from Merging Mundos in Kenya, who developed a customized 13-night safari and beach mixed itinerary in Kenya and Tanzania, based on our interests and expectations. That proved to be the best choice we could have made, as we had the vacations of our lifetime! And Classic Journeys played the fundamental role in that experience, being our hosts and companions from start to finish, with Elvis always reachable at any time to help with anything we might need. We started our trip in Nairobi, for visiting an Elephant Orphanage and a Giraffe Center, and then continued to Massai Mara to initiate our true safari experience. Based on our experience and the fact that it had been raining a lot the few previous days in Kenya, which was totally untypical in january/february, it was critical we were given very capable drivers/guides along with 4x4 Land Cruisers. Several roads inside the parks and even in-transit between parks, were absolutely challenging and quite impassable, with very deep mud, water and flooded bridges, and only thanks to Amir in Kenya and Mirage in Tanzania and their excelled driving capabilities, we were able to make it. For sure other 4x4 minivans that usually crowd the parks, would have been left stranded, as we actually witnessed some! After Massai Mara, we turned into Tanzania and visited the immense Serengeti and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area: a magnificent creation of nature! Then we headed back to Kenya, for visiting Amboseli, with its unique and stunning views of Mt Kilimanjaro, and Tsavo National Parks. During our safari tenure, we experienced a combination of jungle lodges and luxury tented camps, which provided my wife and three kids with a real taste of wildlife. And of course we needed to spend several hours each day as passengers either in the park on a game drive, or transiting between parks, for which you must get used to. Our program ended up with a largely deserved 3-day stay in Diani Beach, near Mombasa, for total relaxation in those white sandy beaches, while taking warm sea baths in the Indian Ocean, and enjoying nice African food in one of the many international resorts. Visiting Wasani Island for dolphins watching and snorkeling was the proper closing to our journey. Definitely East Africa has a lot to offer for a one-of-a-lifetime vacation, you should give it a try!

Review about Kruger National Park by Nancy
January isn't the best month to look for animals, so I was a little disappointed not to see more, but overall, it was a very good experience.

Review about Lake Nakuru National Park by Claudio Salzano Junior
Despite the beautiful place we had many raining days and it was no possible to arrive close to the lake.
But the other places was very nice and we saw amazing animals like Rino and red giraffe and elephants!!!

So glad I did it!
I spent 4 days in Kruger which included a one-day private drive and a visit to the Elephant Sanctuary (which I highly recommend). Andrei was very helpful in arranging everything with multiple emails which he answered promptly and patiently. All the arrangements went like clockwork. The drives themselves ranged from okay to very good which is, of course, dependent on the game.

Wonderful experience in Mikumi!
My friend and I booked 2 day safari in Mikumi with Tanzania Mwangaza Safaris & Tours. We were very satisfied with the organizator's communication and willingness to help with whatever, our driver, out guide and how trip was organized in general. We started our trip in Dar Es Saalam where our driver picked us up at 3 AM to go to Mikumi. We went in the middle of the night so that we don't loose much time on traveling to the park, which was a great idea. Our driver was the best (i think his name was Osman), very kind, caring, talkative and helpful, we had a great time driving with him. Car was comfortable and filled with water and food for our journey.
Our safari experience was also amazing. We saw a lot of wildlife - zebras, impalas, giraffes, shackles, elephants and even lioness with her cubs. Our driver was very kind and helpful and observant toward the animals and didn't want to do anything to disturb them (like approaching lions very close) and we were very satisfied with his approach that way.
Our vehicle could be a little better, but we still managed to see a lot of this. Out accommodation was really nice and charming, our only critique goes to the food in restaurant which wasn't very good, especially for vegetarians.
But other than that, our safari was almost perfect and I would wholeheartedly recommend Tanzania Mwangaza Safaris & Tours to everyone.
