Trip of a lifetime thanks to African Welcome Safaris
This was the most significant travel we have ever done. We stayed almost 3 weeks and had 15+ hour flights. We truly couldn’t have done it without Kathi Simons. We knew very little and she hand held us through it all from the first phone call. She spoke with us often and knew what to ask to determine what we would enjoy. She provided us with different levels of accommodations. She set up wonderful transport and guides. There truly wasn’t one hitch. Every minute of the trip was on time. Her advice about even the smallest things was spot on. She gave us shopping tips, packing tips, restaurant tips and more. She stayed on top of us as the trip got close and gently made sure we were prepared (passports, vaccines etc) leading up to it. We highly recommend her to anyone traveling in Africa/South Africa.
We met other travelers her used her (we attended a wedding while on the trip) and it was fascinating to see how she tailored the trip to each families specific needs. Outside of the wedding, we all stayed in different hotels, did different safaris, ate in different restaurants. Everyone was equally happy. She managed to adjust for family makeup (mobility, age, kids), budget, length of trip. Every single traveler was beyond pleased.

Great safari adventure to Masai Mara and Lake Nakuru
Very good budget safari option to visit the Masai Mara and Lake Nakuru national parks. My guide Jimmy gave me a unforgettable experience, where we spotted almost all animals of the Big Five. Also the rides to the parks with the 4x4 were nice adventures. Thank you!

Very helpfull
It was the best weekend of my life, we saw the BIG 5 because our tour operator Omary. He was bringing us to the best places at the parcs to see the animals. You can ask him everything, he also told al lot about the animals, parcs and the krater. Good company to go with!

Excellent Gorilla Trek Experience
We flew into Kigali and Bamboo picked us up from the hotel and handled transport and paperwork to the Ugandan highlands and Bwindi. We loved our experience. The hike itself is gorgeous and the terrain is very different from anything in the US. The experience with the gorillas was totally unique and something I'll remember for the rest of my life. Our driver Herbert was very knowledgeable about the area and a lot of fun to talk to. He took great care of us and even returned to the hotel after dripping us off because we forgot something important in the car. I highly recommend him.

The Safari was AMAZING!!! We saw the big five and a lot of other animals. The campsite was beautiful with a beautiful view. (the pool was a little bit dirty, but it was ok). The dinner and lunch were very good, it was amazing!!! This weekend was unforgettable.
