Private Safari in Southern Tanzania
5/5

After a COVID-related postponement of the trip, the time had finally come in September 2021 and we (my husband and I) were able to start our private safari through Southern Tanzania (Nyerere N.P., Mikumi N.P., Ruaha N.P., Udzungwa N.P.) with a beach holiday on Mafia Island – what an unforgettable trip!

From our point of view, the entire travel preparation and organization (complicated by COVID) worked perfectly and the communication (countless emails) was wonderful. We felt very personally advised and cared for!

The trip itself fully met our expectations – even exceeded them. We always felt in good hands with Michael and Richard and the “brought us closer” to real Tanzania. And the game drives with breathtaking animal observations were of course the highlight of our trip. The accommodations were great and the food mostly even better. And of course we really enjoy the quiet time (very few other guests).

Our conversations with Michael have now whetted our appetite for Northern Tanzania. And when the time comes, we can very well imagine requesting again with TANZANIA SAFARI BUG – we are sure it will be an individual trip away from the big tourist crowds.

So in short: many, many thanks for the excellent personal support before and during the trip and of course for the wonderful tour through Southern Tanzania.

Great luck and great guide
5/5

We had a great time in Amboseli. Our driver Andrew picked us up at our hotel, and explained what our first day would be like. After the trip to the accommodation we went into the reserve for our first spotting. Andrew kept contact with other drivers via phone and radio so that he could give us the best possible experience. When we got back at the accommodation our driver suggested to leave early next morning for a long trip instead of two separate trips, morning and evening. This way we would have better chances at seeing all the animals, since one long trip allowed us to drive deeper inside the reserve. Offcourse he could not guarantee us anything, but it would greaten our chances. And that it did. We got very lucky, seeing every possible animal up close. From cheetah to elephant, hippo’s, giraffes, a waterbuffalo, zebras, gazelles, warthogs, everything in close range to our vehicle. Unfortunately we forgot to bring binoculars, so we got very lucky being able to see al animals up close. Later on that day we got to see two lions as well, a bit further in the distance. Andrew arranged vegan lunch for my girlfriend and myself, which tasted great. The next day we did a morning drive and after that we drove back to our hotel ik Nairobi. I feel like we got very lucky on our safari, both with all the animals we spotted as with our amazing guide and driver Andrew.

Lifetime safari
5/5

African safari is expensive, but really appreciate Sino Africa Safari made it affordable for us. We had a 7 days safari in Kenya. It was perfect including driver Samuel, mid-range hotels which were comfortable and african style, food was delicious, and we saw hundred types of animals! We really miss Kenya and wish to go for another safari!

Jonathon is the man of the Masai Mara! He knows everyone and everything.
5/5

We have just finished a 3 night, 4 day safari of the Masia Mara, staying at Mara Simba Lodge. We were collected by Jonathon from our accommodation in Nairobi and started the 5 hour journey to the national park.

This is our second safari (the first being in Tanzania) and we can’t tell you how important it is to have a passionate and friendly guide. Jonathan knew every spot to head to, all the rangers we came across and the other drivers, this meant he had a constant supply of information allowing us to see everything (Lions, Cheetahs, Elephants, hippos etc!) He’s also a very passionate photographer so was always looking for the perfect shot. He has being coming to the Masai Mara for 19 years so his knowledge of the area and the animals was highly valuable to the experience.

Kenyan Adventures were very accommodating and were very efficient when it comes to communication. We booked this trip prior to Covid and had to cancel and rearrange multiple times, Robert and the team were very helpful in allowing us to pick new dates. We cannot recommend this company enough!

Dancing Zebra was an absolute pleasure to work w/ & if I'm fortunate to go again it will be w/ DZ!!!
5/5

Before leaving for this trip of a lifetime, I was overwhelmed with the feelings of gratitude to be so fortunate and blessed to be able to experience such an amazing opportunity. Dancing Zebra and Tanzania did not disappoint!! I left this Safari and experience with even more gratitude and appreciation then I ever expected. On our drive to the Serengeti airport on our departure day, I couldn't keep the tears from falling as I reflected on my time on safari in Tanzania. Besides the beautiful, breathtaking and unique landscapes and most AMAZING and BEAUTIFUL animals, the people of Tanzania were beyond wonderful! For those who travel, we all know that it's the people that make the place. The welcome, the hospitality, the spirit and the smiles of the Tanzanian people were also a huge part of this special experience. And our most beloved Tanzanian....Ian, our safari guide! We were beyond blessed to have him guide us, teach us and share this experience with us. Thank you Ian for everything!!! We will never, ever forget you!!! You are truly the best! Although everything was beyond wonderful, this would all not be possible if it wasn't for our knowledgeable, caring and hard working tour operator Jessica at Dancing Zebra. Her passion for Tanzania and it's people shine through and her personable and thorough approach let you know you are in great hands. Jessica stuck with us through the trying times of Covid and delivered the most amazing, special and memorable itinerary one could ask for. I wouldn't have changed a thing and if I am so fortunate and blessed to be able to go on safari again, it will be with Jessica at Dancing Zebra. THANK YOU Jessica for your caring touch and your personable investment in making this vacation into what dreams are made of! I will never forget this one!!! MAHALO NUI LOA!!!

Beyond Expectation!!!!
5/5

Our friend introduced us to Compass and Darren back in 2019. We have planned originally our anniversary trip to South Africa in 2020. Compass and Darren‘s help was crucial during covid pandemic since there was change of plans and lot of cancelations.

2 years and a newborn later we finally got the chance to go to Africa. It was truly an amazing experience. We felt assisted every step of the way. Local guides and acomodations were first class.

We visited three different countries and Darren’s help allow us to enjoy our travelings without any stress.

We are very thankful with him and his team. He definately made our first trip to Africa a lifetime experience!

About: Tanzania
Tanzania as a safari destination that has it all.
Overall rating
5/5

If this is your first safari and your driving ambition is to get some amazing sightings and to rack up the big 5 as soon as possible then Ngorongoro Conservation Area is probably the best place in the world. Head for the Serengeti, however, if you have time for a longer safari and your goal is to take time to roam – moving as a nomad with the vast herds, or simply skirting across the savannah between the rock outcrops that are the lookout posts of the Serengeti prides. The Serengeti remains for me (alongside Botswana’s Kalahari) as one of the very best places in the world to experience the awe-inspiring vastness of the African wilderness. There is no feeling like being in the middle of the incomparable immensity of the savannah with no other vehicle in sight and a herd of wildebeest stretching as far as the eye can see towards the horizon. Big thumb up to Mgalaa Expeditions for organizing such a wonderful safari of our life.
