Easy and Seamless Process in Planning Your South Africa Trip
Communication:
I reached out to multiple tour agencies when trying to book my safari. Out of all of them, Discover Africa stood out the most. Their communication response was excellent. They responded emails quickly, gave the option of communicating through WhatsApp, and phone calls. This was key in getting the conversation rolling.
Helpfulness:
The agent I worked with was Megan. She took the time to understand my interests, budget, and questions. Based on that, she provided more personalized options when deciding the proper safari lodges, travel, and accommodations to consider.
Easiness:
The agency provided very detailed and personalized itinerary just for me online and a PDF version on email as well. Even once the safari was booked many months in advance, Megan reached out about a week before my travel dates and sent all the documents necessary to make my travels easy pre-tour, during the tour, and post tour.
I will definitely consider using Discover Africa again next time I am back.

Prompt, reliable, and as promised.
I was impressed with Gecko from the time of our initial inquiry. They responded to our inquiry and follow up questions quickly and effectively, which gave me a lot of confidence to book with them.
Our driver and guide, Msifiri, picked us up on-time, and drive times were as quoted to and from Dar Es Salaam.
During the safari, Msifiri did a great job of pointing out animals, and seemed very knowledgeable about the park, environment, and animals that live there.
Mikumi is a stunning park, and we saw many animals--it absolutely exceeded our expectations.
We stayed at Camp Bastian Mikumi, which was fabulous--staff were friendly and helpful, and the accommodations were clean and spacious. We loved the atmosphere at the on-property bar/restaurant, and the food was delicious.
For those considering the two day safari option to Mikumi, I would caution that the drive to/from the park is long and fairly tedious; however, this had nothing to do with Gecko, but rather is just the nature of the road/traffic.
Overall, though, we had a phenomenal experience, with Gecko exceeding expectations. I wouldn't hesitate to book with them again, and hope I'll be able to return to Tanzania to see more of its fascinating wildlife and beautiful scenery.

Unforgettable trip to Madagascar!
This was our second time to Africa. Madagascar was different than mainland Africa and it exceeded our expectations! Rob's knowledge of Madagascar was valuable for all stages of planning. From the first telephone conversation we knew we were with the right person.
His choice in camps and lodges were exceptional. The food and the staff were amazing. The company Rob connected with on the ground was wonderful!! Every step was smooth and we were well informed every step of the way. I believe we connected with some of the best guides in Madagascar. They were extremely knowledgable, answering every question about the wildlife and culture. The guides were flexible and accommodating to any last minute requests.
We even asked Rob about purchasing a small musical instrument native to Madagascar, and when we arrived from our international flight the guide who greeted us at the airport had all the information. Rob attended to every detail.
We fell in love with Africa all over again. We truly had an amazing time and look forward to perhaps returning one day. We would certainly recommend Rob and Tailormade Africa.

Amazing African Safari
My wife and I just returned from Tanzania. We booked our entire trip through Tanzania Exclusive Journeys. Janescheduled our vacation. She was extremely knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. She made sure every detail was handled perfectly. Our safari took us to Tarangire, Ngorongoro and Serengeti. We stayed at great tented lodges while on safari. The vehicle was new, comfortable and had no problems at all.
Our guide and driver Tony was incredible. We spent about 12 hours a day with him for almost an entire week. He was extremely knowledgeable about every living creature we encountered. He was great company and had an eagle eye, spotting animals from great distances. He made sure that we were safe, comfortable and having a lot of fun. He stayed with us until we boarded our plane from Serengeti to Zanzibar. Jane booked our lodging and activities in Zanzibar and connected us with a very good guide in Zanzibar.
I would highly recommend Tanzania Exclusive Journeys to my friends and family and plan to use them the next time I travel to Africa.

Wonderful game watching
When we arrived in Nairobi everything was like clockwork. We were highly impressed by our guide was always professional, knowledgeable, and ready to go the extra mile ensuring we had a great time plus every opportunity to see lots of animals. We saw all the Big Five and had very close encounters to lions, leopards, hippos, elephants, and so much more. We had a great vacation and are very pleased we found such a terrific people to book with.
