Excellent safari and service
5/5

Me and my wife had the five day safari with camping accommodation and it exceeded all our expectations.
Our guide Rocky was very experienced and showed us all the best spots, with some luck we even managed to complete the big five. We visited, Tarangire, Serengeti, Ngorongoro and Manyara.
The chef Salim was an excellent chef and made all our meals enjoyable, both in the camp and out in the bush.
The camping accommodation was fine, good tent and sleeping bags provided. Showers and water toilets at all sites, most even had free Wi-Fi. Power outlets are available in the canteens.
I can definitely recommend this trip. If you want four days safari instead, I would remove Manyara.

Outstanding!
5/5

When we first considered travelling to Africa we contacted some UK travel agents however it wasn't until African Welcome Safaris was recommended to us that we appreciated how important it was that our agent was 'on the ground' and had specialist knowledge of the region. Kathi Simon put together a fantastic itinerary that managed to capture all the places that we wanted to visit but not only that but with much greater value for money than the UK agents. This included arranging upgrades on both Rovos Rail and the Zambezi Queen river boat. All our transfers worked like clockwork and the private guide that Kathi chose for us in Cape Town was outstanding. Kathi stayed in touch with us both before and during our holiday and nothing was too much trouble. She even recommended restaurants for us to eat in Cape Town and made reservations on our behalf. My wife and I were incredibly impressed with African Welcome Safaris, as indeed other friends of ours have been, and we would not hesitate to recommend them if you are intending to visit Africa.

Wonderful Safari Tour with a perfect guide
5/5

We enjoyed a wonderful 8-day safari trip through several National parks (Arusha, Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Serengeti). Our guide was very friendly, a perfect driver (which is really important on Tansanian roads) with excellent eyes to spot many animals even from far away!
The office was very helpful even with last-minute change wishes of our trip. Thank you very much for this beautiful holiday trip!

Amazing experience!
5/5

We had a 5-day safari in Tarangire, Serengeti, Ngorongori and Lake Manyara and it was an amazing experience! It was easy to book via email and Hilary was always quick to answer any questions we had. When we arrived to Arusha a driver picked us up at the airport and helped us to the hotel we stayed at the night before the safari started.

The safari exceeded all of our expectations, with a bit of luck and the expert help from our experienced and knowledgeable guide Rocky we got to see the Big Five and a lot of other wildlife! Rocky also arranged a great local walking tour near one of the campsites with a local guide so we got to see and learn more about the village. Our chef Salim cooked great meals that kept us happy and full every day of our trip!

We are very happy with the whole experience and would absolutely recommend Suricata if you want to visit Tanzania!

Great safari
5/5

We were really happy with Tanzania Specialist! From the beginning we had easy communication with them and they arranged our safari in detail. We had a very warm welcome and great, skilled guide Laurence. He was knowledgeable and really flexible with all our requests. For accommodation we choose mix of hotels, lodges and tented camp and all of it was amazing! Would definitely recommend!

Overall Satisfactory
4/5

Though we were overall satisfied with the trip, there's room for improvements.
First of all, we paid higher amount for a big jeep as per quote. On the night we arrived, the van had no A/C. We had the same van next day.
We got a different van on the 2nd day of trip with A/C. After a delay in start, we were made aware of things beyond their control and a jeep was there on the fourth day but it was a very small jeep. We both being photographers, when the top was open, it was hard to stand without slamming our entire body onto each other and the window were too small to maneuver the cameras; unable to get the wanted shots. Our luggage and other things were on the back seats. The small jeep was too crummy to move around.
Frank took great interest in showing us the animals particularly elands and other rare monkeys. We gained a wealth of knowledge about Uganda.
There were things that we wish were taken care of just like other drivers. We are seasoned travelers and have seen the drivers/guides who clean windows, floors, remove garbage on daily basis, wait on the customers every single time. These are minor things yet make a difference when the new day comes to enter a clean jeep. The most important factor for any safari traveller especially a photographer is to capture good images and make videos capturing the essence of the sounds which give life to that particular situation. In our case, 95% of the time, we have videos with the driver's voice as he was on the phone all the time. After telling him in passing, I had to tell him straight on the very last day in a nice way telling that I would like the video to have just the forest sound and it is the last day. Other than that which is a major issue with video recordings, I should say that we were happy with the arrangement of the tour. We were recommended to this site by travelers we met in our other travels. This means people are happy with this company. I have already given much recommendations to many fellow travelers, shared the site info and Mr. Araali's name, our contact representative. He always replied to all my emails with all the questions answered. There are some travelers who are eager to contact this agency. Having said that, I will use this agency again if I come back to Uganda.
Small things can be rectified. Humans can change and Life goes on.

Team Raha - our family forever
5/5

Climbing Kilimanjaro with Kilimanjaro Heroes Adventures was a great experience for us, all 8 days with the whole team. From the very beginning, even before we came to Tanzania, we were nicely surprised by the way the owner of the company responded to our questions (always very fast and in a very detailed way) and also to our requests (no problem with vegetarian food or adding an extra day to rest on Saturday). Our guides, Rama and Amani, were amazing, the most supportive people I've ever met. Also very knowledgable, respectful, with great sense of humour and sharing with us beautiful music on the way. It's only thanks to these two guys and their calming and motivating presence that we made it to the top.
The cook Abuu was a real magician and artist - how was it possible for him to prepare such delicious, various dishes and arrange them in such an artistic way in such conditions goes beyond my imagination. All the porters were also super friendly and supportive, always smiling, always positive and happy, especially Papa Mogeredja, Othumani and Eddy. Thanks to them every morning and every coming to the next camp were like coming home. Thank you for sending us to Kilimanjaro with such a great family
